Rate my team... AGAIN! [changes in bold]

So... I kind of gave up on the last team. But I read a bunch of "How to make a team" threads or whatever and this is what I came up with:

Yanmega (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Protect
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Hypnosis

I like speed boost+ Protect+ Hypnosis. I also used focus sash in case hypnosis decides to screw me over (as it always does). I decided to keep Yanmega because I just realized how good he is haha. The focus sash is useful if hypnosis misses the first time around on a slower pokemon.

---
Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Saw a Suicune set like this except with surf as the one attack. I think it'll be a good way to stall and stuff with pressure and what not.

---
Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
My physical wall, I heard he works well with Empoleon too so that's pretty good.

---
Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Surf
- Roar
- Ice Beam

Suicune gets 50% from ice and probably will work better than Empoleon at doing his stuff. I like CM too :). Should I use HP electric somewhere here, I just realized I don't really have anything to counter Gyrados... or any Water for that matter.

---
Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 120 HP/252 Atk/136 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

I got tired of Dragonite... and stuff. I hope this works better.
---
Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge
- Extremespeed

Yeah, like I said very close set to my Gallade. Which one should I keep?
---

Which threats are eating me right now? I think I have pretty good type coverage. My worst weakness is ice where Gliscor and Salamence both get 400% raped. But that's why I have Suicune.

why does dragonite have attack ev's if he only has special moves? and give gallade hypnosis or a stat move and maybe drain punch if u can afford it, and a diff. item. that way it'l be independent from lucario.

Looking at your team Mamoswine, Garchomp, Heatran, and Infernape are going to be very big problems. I do think you should get rid of both gallade since you already have Lucario and use Suicune instead. Suicune does a pretty good job of countering all 4 of them as long as it keeps Ice Beam and Rest.

Anyways if you have the superior Suicune Emploeon becomes pretty useless so I suggest you get rid of it for something else to take special hits. Spiritomb, Heatran, Blissey and Snorlax are all fine so something you like should be okay.

I'm pretty sure you mean to put Focus Punch on Dragonite right?

You have a big weak to Ice, Mamoswine and Weavile being able handle this team alone. I would probably replace Yanmega with a Bronzong, or replace Gallade with Bronzong, replacing Yanmega seems a good idea though, since I don't see Yanmega being able to switch into the game without a Rapid Spinner. With Bronzong, Weavile and Mamoswine aren't problems anymore. MixApe can give you some problems too, I would suggest using a Vaporeon or Starmie over Empoleon, because I don't see Empoleon stopping Heatran and MixApe any time soon. Vaporeon could work as a Wish Passer, and Starmie can be a Rapid Spinner if you want to keep Yanmega, but both pokemon do a good job at handling MixApe and Gyarados.

Lucario does a better job than Gallade, so you should keep Lucario and replace Gallade for something that can take special hits better, or just help out the team. You could use CM Cresselia, you can handle Tyranitar and Weavile, so give it a try. ResTalk Heatran isn't a bad idea, but 3 steels can be intimidating. Dragonites EV's are a little messed up, so I suggest you fix them, and it's nature too.

edit: fucking ryo beat me

So why's Yanmega Naive? If you're really scared of Hypnosis, use Lum Berry. Focus Sash won't make a lot of a difference unless you have an Aromatherapist/Heal Beller, since it is most likely going to be still asleep the next few turns and thus, die if you keep it in.

Dragonite should be Modest at the very least since all you have are special moves.

Spiritomb (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Saw a Suicune set like this except with surf as the one attack. I think it'll be a good way to stall and stuff with pressure and what not.

Dark Pulse has shit coverage, so it wont be as effective as Suicune. I'd rather go Hidden Power Fighting over Sleep Talk for the added coverage. It still walls the shit out of psychics and you can touch steels now. Or you can just get rid of it. Suicune does a better job.

Focus sash on Yanmega seems useless. It's already taking a whopping 50% damage from SR, not to mention most Bronzongs carry Lum Berry nowadays. Stick with Life Orb. Yanmega is a one use Pokemon and should be treated as one.

Despite recieving a respectable ammount of replies from established team raters, your thread is violating a specific rule in our RMT rules thread. Do you see those effortless descriptions under each individual Pokemon? Mainly Salamence, Gliscor and Lucario, to be exact. Well... that is prohibited here, as shown in the following quote:

3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you're having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

Please, read and abide by the rules.
