I dont like fancy titles so this will do.
I've been trying to use different UU teams, varying from gimmick to pseudo-stall. This is one of the teams and its doing decent till now.
Before I post the team, I would like to announce some problems I have or might have. My team has no water, ice or fire resist, enabling many different sweepers to severely damage my team. I also don't have much of a Shaymin-l counter - Umbreon is the most obvious switch-in for me.
Raikou is my only hard-hitting Special Sweeper and my physical sweepers are either there to revenge-kill stuff ( Hitmonchan ) or need to set up first, so I could have problems with Spiritomb, as it can set up on a really huge part of my team.
My main source of absorbing physical threats is Rotom, my designated counter to Staraptor ( damn u ! ). I am not sure if Rotom alone is enough to counter the physical threats, since the rest of my team lacks Defense EVs. If Rotom is gone, I am doomed, since ground moves will rampage half of my team.
I am using Hitmonchan just for the "fun-factor" though; I guess there are several better sweepers that can do his job a little better.
I've thought of the Drapion set and decided to use the SubSalac one, since Drapion has 4 resists. Coupling with Encore on Clefable and the weaknesses Rotom has ( and Drapion resist ), there seems to be alot of time for it to set up.
Umbreon, like it mostly is, seems to be set up fodder for anything with Sub + Boosting Move. That could be a problem since for example, I wont be able to stop Raikou if it gets his CMs.
W.e, now onto the team.

Raikou @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Extrasensory
---
The main reason I use Raikou is Froslass ( damn u, too ! ). Since Raikou is faster, Froslass will be just able to set up 1 layer of Spikes at most. Sometimes, it happens that my opponent thinks I am the SubCM one, trying to Taunt me. Then, they've mostly archieved nothing. Ofc, Raikou with Specs is dangerous the whole game, thats why I mostly keep him for later, since with his base speed of 115 , he will most likely outspeed a huge portion of the Pokémon my opponent would have to offer.
But of course, Raikou cant be that great. I usually change between beating Froslass with either TB or SB, enabling my opponent to get a free turn if he / she decides to switch in a Pokémon that is immune to or resists said moves. But otherwise, Raikou is great.
Clefable (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP/152 Def/4 Spd/100 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Encore
- Softboiled
- Seismic Toss
---
Ah, here it is, Clefable, my counter to the beautiful HailStall-teams out there. Most of the time, Seismic Toss is enough to beat the hail teams to a pulp, but ofc, there is Walrein who, with his Base 110 HP, could give me some hard time, but thats what Encore is for. For example, Walrein uses Sub, I Encore it and switch to Raikou who would beat him :C. Thunder Wave is my main move to stop Scarf Pokémon or initially fast Pokémon ( Froslass, Raikou, CS Staraptor ). Well, not much to say about Softboiled, its just standard on Clefable.
Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-wisp
- Reflect
---
Rotom !!! Well, this guy is so important to my team atm. It keeps Fighting-, Ground- and, to an extent, Normal-type Pokémon in check and is also my main counter to the infamous "bastard" Staraptor. My Rotom is made for taking physical hits, with 252 EVs, a Bold nature, WoW and Reflect. This might seem like overkill but, really, it isnt =/. Without these moves, Staraptor and the likes would have a really fun time with my team. Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt for obvious reasons. I should probably try something like Trick / Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt / Reflect or WoW @ Specs since Spiritomb can easily set up on this one.
Hitmonchan (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
---
Here it comes, the weakest link of my team but also the most awesome one. I dont know, I think Hitmonchan looks awesome ( the skirt is kinda dumb though ). Hitmonchan should act like a Revenge Killer or the likes :/. I might have problems with Absol and friends ( although I dont see them that often ), thats why Mach Punch is here, so I can kill Sucker Punching Absols,etc.. Close Combat was, is and will be the main attack of Chan, since its powered up ( I think it was 180 Base Power ? ), it will seriously hurt anything that doesnt resist it ( prolly 2KOins ^_^). Ice Punch and Thunderpunch are the obvious coverage moves, well.. thats actually true but CC seems to outdamage these moves most of the time, at least I can hit Mantine ( lol, <_< ) or Torterra for 4x SE damage.
Umbreon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP/164 Spd/92 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Yawn
- Protect
- Payback
---
Here it is.. Umbreon ! My main supporter of this team... Wish and Yawn are essential since Wish helps me healing the other teammembers while Yawn keeps sweeper in check that switch in Umbreon. Payback to not completely get f... messed up by Taunter, especially the Ghost-type ones, which Umbreon can hit hard with it. Protect for synergy with Yawn and Wish. All in all, Umbreon is awesome, but like mention in the, eh.., opening, it fails to do anything to Sub + Boosting Move Pokémon, all it can hope to hit them on the switch with either Payback ( wouldnt do that much though ) or Yawn ( would help me abit more ).
Drapion (M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Night Slash
- Earthquake
---
My SubSalac Drapion sweeper, dunno if its referred to as "creative" but its actually pretty good, using the old tactics of Substitute + stat raising berry. I've chosen Drapion for, lemme think, two reasons. The first one is his base speed, which, with salac berry activated, is enough to outspeed everything in UU without Boosts itself. So, with Swords Dance and Substitute on this moveset, I had just two more moves to choose. Night Slash seems pretty obvious. It gives nice coverage while also being STAB. Earthquake is my last move, because of Poison giving terrible coverage ( I couldnt do much against Steel-types for example). Cant complain much about him.
