Rate My Team: Togekiss Sweep

Ever since I saw Togekiss I knew it had more potential than just flinchaxing and pissing people off. I have decided to make a team utilizing those great all around stats, Roost, Serene Grace and Nasty Plot. As long as I don't run into Obi Bliss I should win, with the exception of extremely special defensively oriented Cresselia.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 HP / 56 Atk / 76 Def / 136 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -Sp Atk)
-Wish
-Reflect
-Body Slam
-Zen Headbutt

The main set up guy. Sets up Reflect and can pass Wishes so Togekiss can get a sweep started. Body Slam provides paralysis support which is key since Togekiss is defensively built, and Air Slash+Serene Grace+paralysis is a bitch to fight. Resists rock and ice, two weaknesses that Togekiss doesn't like very much.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 Sp Def
Calm nature (+Sp Def, -Atk)
-Roost
-Nasty Plot
-Aura Sphere
-Air Slash

The core of the team. I based this team around setting up Togekiss for a sweep. If they aren't running a Calm Blissey with Toxic+Wish+Protect, they are most likely going to lose if paralysis is spread a bit. Roost is for survivability which is always good for a pokemon who is weak to Stealth Rock. 374 HP, 237 Defense and 350 Special Defense is very bulky and it is usually the way he sets up.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EV: 240 HP / 212 Def / 56 Sp Atk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
-Roar
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake

Beats the living daylights out of those Zapdos who only have HP Ice. Even if they do have a Calm nature, Roar them away for another time. Eventually Stealth Rock will take its toll, and most Calm natured Zapdos will lose to Togekiss due to him having 350 special defense. Beats up some dragons with Ice Beam every so often and Surf is great for other bulky grounds.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 128 Spd / 136 Sp Atk
Modest nature (+Sp Atk, -Atk)
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Dragon Pulse
-Lava Plume

Takes status nicely for the team. Also completely shuts down Obi's Blissey and beats up Cresselia too. Dragon Pulse>Earth Power for dragon coverage, plus it gives me a 2/3 chance of actually hitting Cresselia during his slumber.

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 136 Spd / 120 Sp Atk
Naughty nature (+Atk, -Def)
-U-Turn
-Stone Edge
-Draco Meteor
-Earthquake

Flygon has always been a favorite, and to be honest, I would use Garchomp normally. However, Flygon works a lot better with this team, and its Levitate ability means that Toxic Spikes won't ruin me. U-Turn scouts a bit for Skarmory, who usually packs Leftovers, which will be beaten by Magnezone. Stone Edge is almost a waste of a slot, but I have revenge killed some Gyarados who survived Uxie's Thunderbolt.

Uxie @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp Atk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
-Yawn
-Stealth Rock
-U-Turn
-Thunderbolt

Another great support pokemon. Yawn+Stealth Rock forces many switches, and the incoming pokes are usually Pursuit users. Luckily for Uxie, it has a huge defense stat and it can afford to take powerful assaults. Relaxed nature and U-Turn allows me to take 40 base power Pursuits instead of 80. Counters Gyarados with Thunderbolt.

I don't know about this. You're relying on paralysis far too much, in my opinion. Togekiss is built to bulky for only two none 100% paralysis moves. I think your going to find that it just isn't working. In fact, this team looks very reliant on Togekiss to kill of 4/6 of the team, so you might want to add more power, as your whole team is pretty bulky. If you really want to get everyone with Kiss, I'd add more Para support, and if not, I'd possibly add more Speed to Togekiss, because if not, you're leaving yourself open to two or more hits each time you want Togekiss to set up.

Simply put, no.

First of all, that Togekiss can't be OHKOed by hardly anything. Even STAB Thunderbolts don't bring this thing down. The bulkiness allows it to sweep against faster things, like Starmie while periodically Roosting off the damage from Ice Beam/Thunderbolt. It is fast enough to outspeed and OHKO things that actually can kill it, like CB Rhyperior.

Flygon is very reliable for atleast a kill per game, and Jirachi usually grabs a kill from paraflinch. Keep in mind that Heatran is an offensive beast, even with the lower powered Lava Plume. I believe Swampert still has a 110 base attack, or am I wrong?

It doesn't matter if it can't be OHKOed. It's so slow, the opponent easily gets 2 hits in, even three if you try and set up. That Rhyperior statement is false to. The standard CB Rhyperior has 371 HP, and Togekiss (No Nasty Plot) does 244-288 damage to it without factoring in solid rock. (That's a SE Aura Sphere). It's a situational kill with Nasty Plot

Base 110 is right. It's also incredibly slow, and has no EV investment.

I agree with Castlevania. I don't mind the team concept at all, but the fact that you only have one situational paralysis user severely hampers the strategy. Jirachi is not guarenteed at all to paralyze every single thing it sees. Add a Thunder-Wave user to truly spread that paralysis.

Also, Togekiss is fine as a sweeper, provided your gameplan is executed. After the paralysis is spread, Im sure that he can flinchhax his foes to death, and possibly get a NP off or two.
