Hi all, I'm a bit new at competitive battling. I just started about 6 months ago to be generally interested in it, but I've been playing Pokemon since I was 9.
Anyway, I made a team that's built around Dragonite, my favorite Pokemon. I call the team:
Krishna's Revenge
Krishna (Dragonite) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 200 Spd / 24 HP / 32 SDef
Jolly Nature
IVs: 11 SAtk
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch
The basis for my team. This is a special (and somewhat unique) EV spread. With only as much speed investment as necessary to outspeed base 130 timid Pokemon after one Dragon Dance. The idea is to set up as many Dragon Dances as possible then proceed to wreck. Krishna only comes out when she can destroy most of the enemy's remaining Pokemon. Leftovers helps her restore Multiscale.
Comedian (Klefki) (F) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Safeguard
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Dazzling Gleam
Krishna's best friend. The Comedian is there to help protect Krishna from status with Safeguard, and allow her to take physical/special attacks with more ease (screens). Dazzling Gleam is something I'm considering getting rid of. Any move suggestions would be much appreciated!
Gepetto (Donphan) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Shard
Donphan is great because of it's awesome attack and defense stats. This particular set allows it to spin away rocks (because they obviously cripple Krishna's sweeping potential). With Earthquake, priority Ice Shard and some Stealth Rocks of my own, Donphan works great with Krishna (Dragonite).
Fun Guy (Breloom) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Swords Dance
Fun Guy is generally a monster. With the highly coveted spore, he can put opponents to sleep and proceed to set up Swords Dances. Mach Punch ensures a strong Technician-boosted priority move to further help him sweep. Bullet Seed is good coverage and STAB damage, great for breaking sashes. Lum berry is a nice addition to this set as well.
Graboid (Gyarados-Mega) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 192 Spd / 64 HP
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Bite
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
The Mega Pokemon of my team. With just enough speed investment to outspeed 130 base speed timid Pokemon at +1, Graboid works wonders with Mold Breaker Earthquake. Sorry, Rotom! Paired with STAB Bite and Waterfall, Mega Graboid eats through foes with ease.
Flight 11 (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 96 Spd / 248 HP / 68 SDef / 96 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Roost
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Finally, as a specially defensive Zapdos, Flight 11 gives nice momentum with volt switch. Paired with leftovers, Roost and Pressure, he works as a staller. Heat Wave is great coverage and HP Ice deals with those pesky ground types (as well as other Dragonites).
So, what do you all think? Any suggestions, counters, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my team!
