Rayquaza @ Choice Band
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly / Naive Nature
- Dragon Ascent
- Dragon Claw / Draco Meteor
- V-create
- Extreme Speed

Choice Band Rayquaza is one of the strongest wallbreakers in Ubers with nearly perfect neutral coverage between Dragon Ascent and V-create; nothing truly wants to switch into a well-timed attack from this Pokemon. Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor are primarily used for Zygarde-C and Eternatus, with Draco Meteor hitting Zygarde-C for more damage and threatening it even at -2. Extreme Speed helps in the hyper offense matchup by allowing Rayquaza to revenge kill foes like Geomancy Xerneas and Rock Polish Groudon. Unfortunately, Rayquaza struggles to outspeed many common offensive threats in the tier such as Calyrex-S, Yveltal, and Eternatus. This means it benefits greatly from aggressive plays and correct positioning to get it in on the numerous slower Pokemon in Ubers like Necrozma-DM. Calyrex-S and Marshadow are solid teammates, as both pressure hard answers to Rayquaza such as Lunala. Galarian Darmanitan and Urshifu-S are fantastic pivots to help bring Rayquaza in and provide additional wallbreaking.

Choice Band Rayquaza is one of the strongest wallbreakers in Ubers with nearly perfect neutral coverage between Dragon Ascent and V-Create, nothing truly wants to switch in to a well-pressed button from this thing. The Dragon STAB is primarily used for Zygarde and Eternatus (say that that draco meteor hits Zygarde-c significantly harder that is why this is an option as meteor into -2 meteor still has a chance to pick off defensive zyg), whereas Extreme Speed gives it utility in the Hyper Offense matchup allowing it to revenge kill foes like Geomancy Xerneas and Rock Polish Groudon. Unfortunately, Rayquaza struggles to outspeed many common offensive threats in the tier such as Calyrex-S, Yveltal, and Eternatus. This means that it benefits the most from hard aggressive reads and constant positioning to get it in on the numerous slower Pokémon in the tier. Teammates such as Yveltal facilitate this amazingly by giving it free entry points via a slow U-Turn. I would say more teammates here, at least 1 or 2 more which benefit from each other as Yveltal isn't the only teammate here, say pokes like geo-xern, caly-s (can heal burned ray with aroma as example), marsh, or groudon, one of those as example. geo-xern / caly-s in tandem with ray can break easily thru many common pokemon, and marsh / groudon can alongside with ray overwhelm shared checks.

AM check, include what you want. But i do think these can be potentially be important!

I'd include some of Katy's suggestions, Caly-S and Marshadow in particular as teammates are worth mentioning. Failing that, other Pivots than just Yveltal should be mentioned, such as Darmanitan-G and Urshifu.

"Constant Positioning" reads awkwardly to me, I cant find something synonymous but it doesnt read quite right. Maybe "aggressive play and positioning as well as correct reads"? I'll leave the specifics of rewording it to you, but something else there would be good.

Choice Band Rayquaza is one of the strongest wallbreakers in Ubers with nearly perfect neutral coverage between Dragon Ascent and V-create(lowercase);(comma to semicolon) nothing truly wants to switch into(one word) a well-pressed button well-timed attack from this thing Pokemon. The Dragon STAB is Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor are primarily used for Zygarde(-C?) and Eternatus, though choosing Draco Meteor allows you to with Draco Meteor hitting Zygarde-C for more damage and threatens threatening it even at -2. Extreme Speed gives it utility helps in the hyper offense(lowercase) matchup by allowing it Rayquaza to revenge kill foes like Geomancy Xerneas and Rock Polish Groudon. This means it benefits greatly from aggressive plays and correct positioning to get it in against numerous slower Pokemon in Ubers.(examples?) Calyrex-S and Marshadow are solid options for teammates, as they both put the pressure on hard answers to Rayquaza such as Lunala. Darmanitan-G Galarian Darmanitan and Urshifu(-S/-R?) are also fantastic pivots to that help bring Rayquaza in,(RC) while also still functioning as breakers in their own right and provide additional wallbreaking.
