RBTT RBTT IX Commencement Thread

Hello managers, as promised here are some shoutouts for bssf and then a few for some other tiers:
Bssf:
It's probably pretty obvious but I would recommend to managers but I would recommend first and foremost people who actively play bssf as there is some knowledge to it and it's sets due to the low timer. Picking the mons is also not always that simple.
The must be picked:
IcyPenguin2 yone zioziotrip : these 2 are clear top 4 with me as well. Yone is a monster at bssf and bss while Icy is really really good as well. Ziozio is just someone I rate super highly and has done very well in rbtt 7. Bssf players usally go later in the rounds but these 3 are worth investing earlier than that as they will provide a garanteed at least good record and most probably a score of 5-2 in the regular season.
The ones I would strongly advise to be picked:
purbaj Irene satvik123
Purbaj has impressed me a lot in bsscl being a carry for his team. He learned on the fly and has been going on a rambage. I need to see him on the big stage as he could be that next guy, def draft him. Ina fable has impressed me in the tryout games and made top 1 of the ladder with 50+ more points than the 2nd. She has shown some solid understanding tho she doesn't uses that much timer at team preview so that could bite her back during rbtt. Otherwise def draft her. Satvik may have not played bssf in a while but he went positive last year and helped the suicunes reach finals. A very good option on the team.
The ones I would advise to be picked, new commers who play bssf:
Shynii21 Sylveesnom TheHorrorHare
unaware clodsire
4 players who regularly play bssf. I would rate shynii the best out of the bunch tho clod also did well on the ladder and won the tryout tour. Hare and sylvee are solid options that could work decently but will be on the lower end of the starters but they can be subs not only for bssf but also emergency subs for something like gen 9.
The bss players:
sheepie luisin papiloco Aldrich Ikaishi Staraptor eldids Cao Jie Emboar02 Zoyotte Pinecoishot
All these players play bss tours and could potentially do well in this tho they lack the bssf experience for most of them.
The wildcards: GeniusX Ann LordST Dragonillis Trade
These players either have better tiers or they could do well in this slot or crumble pretty fast. They are high risk high reward.
Some other general shoutouts:
chiefbeef1234 Rising player. Went 3-2 in wcor playing bo5 and made top 1 of the gen9 ladder. Good sv3/ sub.
Hoops good gen 6 starter level. Top 1 with 90+ gxe in gen 6. Knows his stuff well. Has also done pretty well in wcor.
Click>Think good player that knows his stuff. Quite underrated and good sub.
Vioz starter level for gen 6. Top 8 of rands slam.
John Dozo just has to not play TON
Roadto15oo impressed me quite a bit in tryouts
PigWarrior19 good player and plays rands
anankaios top 8 in 2 opens
mdill97 really underrated but has shown some great stuff
BigWes95 did well in tryouts
Michielleus you don't know him but he's pretty decent
Will stop here but there are a lot of great talents. Def give these players a shot. If I didn't mention you it's because either you are already in rbtt in the past or I'm too lazy to scroll 50 pages of posts. Until then have a good one folks

Hello. I is a newbie to the scene so you can take my suggestions/advice as you please, but there are a few players I would like to give shoutouts to with tomorrow’s draft coming up.
Click>Think: One of the biggest unc’s around, but with unc there is experience. Click can play many formats to a high ability with the most experience in gens 9, 7, and 4. Click is also very talkative in a team environment, contributing greatly to team conversations with great insight and detail as to how he plays. Click is coming off of a WCOR win as well high placement’s in the gen 2 and 4 opens. Overall very solid pick coming into the tournament that you cannot go wrong with.
Sylveesnom: Sylvee is a very good safe sub slot for any team aswell as a good Bssf starter. Sylvee is coming off of a semis finish in WCOR this summer on behalf of Team Oceania aswell as a current spot in the finals of BSSCL and a win in RBEL. Very nice addition to a team if you ever need a person to fix up all the holes.
Shynii21: Shynii is another demon of a bssf player. Reached finals of the BSSF open aswell as a spot in the finals of BSSCL at the moment.
Shynii also has experience in Gen 9 and has been no stranger to high ladder over the past year. Very strong, very versatile player.
BigWes95: Gen 7 Goat. Wes is frequently top of the gen 7 and 6 ladders with experience on high ladder 9. So far this year he has reached the finals of RBEL, Quarterfinals of WCOR, and has consistent high leaderboard placings on the Random battle room monthly leaderboard. Very good, very underrepresented player.

BigWes95 --ladder demon that is starter quality for rbtt in gen 6/7. Can also slot in roulette as fundies are solid enough to play any format against anyone
TheHorrorHare --Young fella is in like elementary school or something and has one of the best glo ups in rands over the last year. Super sub that went positive in RBEL + WCoR against players that will likely be drafted in the top half of tmrws draft. Is now a dubs + bssf demon (in finals of BSSCL) as well so you can snag him at a really good value for either BSSF or dubs 2 slot later in the draft. Or pick him up as a sub so he can complete the super sub trifecta of going positive in every rands team tour
unaware clodsire --Won Wigglys recent No Johns BSSF tour over a couple of notable BSSF players and is a good late value pick for the slot. Also has good sub potential as he can play 4/6/7/9 at a high level
Maxisc23 Played against em several times in Wigglys no johns tours for gen 6/9/roulette. Came away fairly impressed; has good patience and good understanding of game state. I'll be real: we have had 0 interaction outside of those sets but I liked their play a lot
Zoyotte ZO YO TTE
(good clicker that can go ham in gens 6/7. Pure entertainment as well in cord)
gomdol2 Draft midround so you can get the steal of the draft. One of the few players I've played against that made me feel like a 1200 elo player. Recently won TBT as well
Roadto15oo Fought against em in Wigglys no johns tour for gen 6 and imo can be an underrated pick in the later rounds. Has very good ladder stats in that gen as well
virae Gave me some insights on gen 1 rands and helped me beat some of its best players in gen 1 open as a result. Sensei would be a solid pick as an rby specialist, he's doing well currently in rby cords indigo league and washed the competition last rbel too
Slikkles --Slot him in SV RU and he'll go 6-1 or sumethin Very strong generalist with a focus on new gens that made circuit playoffs. Good for a few Mdrrrrrs here and there as well and that is value that you can't quantify. Apparently plays BSSF as well, i guess you can throw him there too

Got a bit meme-y at the end but I genuinely believe all the players listed above can be great mid to late round picks that you'll get a lot of value out of + will bring a good presence to your team. As managers, y'all already know the big names and tenured rbtt folks so I focused on pple who I think are underrated atm.

Huge shoutout to Ineros he will be an amazing presence to have in your team, he’ll brighten up the team mood significantly and be a very positive influence throughout the entire tournament. He also did amazingly well and carried us on the Bagons into the semifinals in the Challenge Cup Cup 6 with a very good record as well.
Seconding this, I’ve drafted Ineros for BSSPL X and he was a joy to have around and always happy to lend a hand. Wonderful teammate

- the players are ordered within tiers, but only really accurately above B. i couldnt say for sure exactly how good people are if i havent seen many of their games. regardless, i think almost anyone on this tier list could hold down a slot for a tour if they play at their ceiling
- a tonne of these players would obviously roll way harder in a different format (like pokeblade, losco, adelynn, justout, icy, pigwarrior, chains, etc etc) so i dont at all mean to pressure them into running doubles if they dont want to. you should probably dm them if you plan to pick them
- its somewhat hard to judge exactly how good dou or vgc mainers will end up being if they havent played a lot of this format, even if you can rate them against each other. im of the opinion that you should try to avoid drafting anyone just off their results outside of rands if you can help it
- i also dont have infinite information on some of the newcomers, such that its definitely valid to pick someone if they completely waxed you in tryouts. this list is just from the games and results that i've seen
- if i skipped you that means i despise you, personally. dm me to arrange a time and place to fight irl
