  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, but they also contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.​
  • To managers: Please send us your lineups in the same format that we used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.​

Maybe one day I will be bold(haha get it) enough to pick the OU games. We're still not there yet though.

Tier Solving Tangelas vs Glacial Articunos
RBY Ubers: Sotina vs Sabelette - last week I bolded Amaranth purely on a gut feeling even though I thought Sab was the slight favorite on paper. I actually feel slightly bad about that because we saw an endgame in g3 that I don't think we've ever seen play out in RBY Ubers. I think a fresh week will do wonders for Sabel and bring a return to form though. No disrespect intended to Sotina though and I hope for a great game.
RBY UU Bo5: Melbelle vs JensenDale - I hate to bold against a friend two weeks in a row and despite not really liking the team choices I saw week 1 from Mel, I still think Mel's more experienced in the tier and has better odds to pull out the W. I hope that Jensen rises to the occasion, I'd love to be proven wrong, but above all else I want to see some good RBY UU here.
RBY NU Bo5: torkonpeter vs Volk - Torkon's another friend but gut instinct tells me Volk comes out on top. The real winner of this set is the fans, because this should be some high quality RBY NU.
RBY PU Bo5: AM vs Chloe - I think Chloe will be out for blood after what can only be described as highway robbery by ButtGallon's self-described Mandate of Heaven.
RBY Rand Bo7: Zcarlett vs tylerfitz8 - Not much to say except this one I think could go either way.

Exeggutory Party vs Ding Dang Dewgongs

RBY Ubers: Christos vs Enigami - It's good to see Enigami back in Ubers. I think his greater experience with the tier will lead to a W over Christos, but Christos' ability to adapt as a player may mean some great progression in just the span of a week.
RBY UU Bo5: dunoks vs Shellnuts - Zero idea how to feel on this one so I'm gonna abstain.
RBY NU Bo5: damien the genius vs Koalacance - Still a relative newcomer to RBY so I don't know Koala. It would be wrong to pick here.
RBY PU Bo5: Plague vs BeatsBlack - I've watched BeatsBlack perform well over a number of PU formats and I think it'll carry over here.
RBY Rand Bo7: za vs Kingslayer Caterpie - Legends(ZA) were made to be slain. give us mega butterfree you cowards

Pampu Primeapes vs Indigo Illusion

I always like to disclose that I'm supporting pampus because it colors my perspective of how well they are prepping.

RBY Ubers: The Strap vs Unowndragon - On paper, Unown should win. However, I watched Strap pull out unholy luck beyond all compare and it was easily the most fun I've had watching competitive Pokemon in a long time. With Gastlies in his ear to correct his mistakes, I think he will be much stronger going into week 2. It's not going to be an easy fight though by any stretch.
RBY UU Bo5: Goombatower69 vs Fc - While Strap's legendary exploits were the cherry on top of a fun weekend of games, a close second has to be Goomba exceeding all my expectations and 3-0ing. The morale that Goomba's win gave the pampus cannot be understated. FC is more experienced with this tier than Goomba's previous opponent, but how am I not supposed to ride the Goomba hype train for at least another week? In all seriousness, I think this is going to come down to how well gastlies and I can support this slot and if Goomba can keep stacking more goombas Ws.
RBY NU Bo5: THE_CHUNGLER vs Django - I am fighting every urge in my body to call this a highlight MU but man NU just looks so good this year.
RBY PU Bo5: PHB11677 vs Zpice - This is half because I know Zpice's commitment to team tours and half because I know it's going to motivate PHB to make me look stupid for bolding against him. Also for those of you who are sad to not see Gerb in PU(Poetry Used), consider this the anime training arc before the big showdown.
RBY Rand Bo7: Cooljam Junior vs Isza - A rough start of working off some rust but Cooljam should be ready to deliver a strong performance going forward.

Saffron Haymakers vs Washed Wartortles

RBY Ubers: Amaranth vs NotVeryCake - So if you remember the start of this post, I picked Amaranth on a random gut feeling last week and we got an insanely unique endgame. I am again predicting Amaranth but my bigger prediction is that there's going to be one extremely ridiculous layer of hax that completely robs one of the two of at least one game.
RBY UU Bo5: ThatOneApple vs pac - Apple's quickly established himself in this tier and for my money has the best combination of motivation + experience in this tier. It's going to be very hard to bold against him for the time being.
RBY NU Bo5: Toxin Boost vs hammer789 - I'm not gonna say what you already know I'm thinking. Hammer has his work cut out for him if he would like to knock out one of the top threats in an already stacked pool.
RBY PU Bo5: ButtGallon vs virae - This is a nuanced prediction. See, I'm thinking that BG's being so well-scouted last week might inspire him to shake up his teams a little this week. I don't know if that will actually lead to the W though, so I'm not bolding him here even though I feel I would otherwise. Let's see how well this ages.
RBY Rand Bo7: Lady Writer vs YBW - Solidarity with my fellow three letter named compatriot but also I genuinely think YBW is great at this format. Despite losing 3-4 last week, it only confirmed to me that YBW is a dangerous player in this pool.
