Ok. This team is tried and tested against a lot of people and it has worked to perfection. Some of the pokemon sets here may look impossible, but in time i will say why I have them, and if necessary, how.
Pikachu @ Light Ball
Trait: Static
Lonely: 252 Atk/4 Spe/252 SpA
Volt Tackle
Fake Out
Thunderbolt
Surf
Ok. Some may be thinking surf on a Pikachu is impossible. But there is a special mystery gift from Pokemon Battle Revolution that lets Pikachu use surf, thus making it legit. Anyway, Fake out, for obvious reasons, is for giving you an early on advantage over your enemy, whomever that may be. If it's a ground-type, then Fake Out will be very useful indeed, especially against speedy ones like Gliscor and Garchomp. Thunderbolt and Volt Tackle get rid of most other enemies, bar ground-types and pokemon with Volt Absorb ability. They are also Good STAB moves, added onto the effects from Light ball and High Attack and special attack stats, then this pokemon will be a formidable opponent. Surf, as is obvious to most, is for the ground types. Simple isn't it? There are still threats like Gastrodon and Quagsire, but a lot of people give them Rain Dance, which can work to your advantage. They use Rain Dance, you use Surf, a win. Easy. Cup of tea anyone?
Electivire @ Magnet
Trait: Motor Drive
Adamant: 252 Atk/4 SpD/252 Spe
ThunderPunch
Ice Punch
Cross Chop
Earthquake
This Electivire, like Pikachu, can deal with most, if not, all threats very easily. ThunderPunch is a powerful move, with STAB and the held Magnet, it is very powerful and can land a hard blow on most pokemon, such as Aerodactyl who is quite a big threat and packs a lot of power. Ice punch is for those ground-types who just won't faint, e.g Garchomp, Gliscor etc. They are all threats, but with the power that Electivire packs, they won't be for long. Dragonite can also pose a threat, but that again can be dealt with from Ice Punch. Cross Chop, is useful for the threats like Steelix, Cobalion and Klinklang who are more resistant to Ice Punch. Earthquake is a powerful move, which I'm sure you've seen used by now. It packs quite a punch and if used in the right way, along with the right team, moves and abilities, then it can wipe the floor with enemies.
Magmortar @ Charcoal
Trait: Flame Body
Mild 252 SpA/4 Spe/252 SpD
Flamethrower
Solarbeam
Hyper Beam
Psychic
This Magmortar, despite any claims you might have to the contrary, is a formidable opponent against many water-types. It is a tank for starters, dealing heavy damage with all of it's moves. Flamethrower, along with STAB and Charcoal is a really powerful move to get on the wrong side of, and even Empoleon has trouble surviving. Solarbeam is good for water-types and with the Special Defense that Magmortar has, then it will be able to survive a lot. Gastrodon is again a threat, as is Quagsire, but they tend to use Rain Dance or Mud Bomb on their first turn, allowing Magmortar to safely charge and distribute Solarbeam. Psychic is there because it is a very powerful move, and again it can deal with a lot of powerful pokemon, because even the tankish pokemon have hidden snags, and Psychic deals with most of them. Hyper Beam is really a finisher, and it doesn't half do its job well. If you and your opponent have just one pokemon left, and this Magmortar is yours, then Hyper Beam can guarantee your win. :)
Jynx @ NeverMeltIce
Trait: Forwarn
Modest: 252 SpA/4 SpD/252 Spe
Blizzard
Focus Blast
Psychic
Shadow Ball
This Jynx, this dainty little Jynx. Or not. It packs a hefty bag of power. Blizzard may not be the most accurate, but when it does hit, it completely annihilates the other pokemon. With STAB, NeverMeltIce and Jynx's high Special Attack, then whomever is on the recieving end will quickly see the how wrong it was to pick a fight with her. It can deal with a lot of bug-type threats/opponents very quickly and it can quickly take out a lot of other threats, eg Garchomp, Aerodactyl and Dragonite. Focus Blast, again powerful, deals with the Rock-, Steel- and Dark-type threats, such as Zoroark, Tyranitar and even Empoleon, two of whom are usually slower than Jynx, so that automatically gives her an edge. Even if the Tyranitar is holding a Chople Berry, it won't be much help. Psychic is useful against threats who are usually part Poison- or Fighting type, e.g. Infernape, Machoke, Nidoking, Nidoqueen and Gengar. They are all threats, Infernape and Gengar mostly, but Jynx has enough defenses to deal with them, then return the damage with more power. Shadow Ball is again useful against Mismagius, Gengar again, Dusknoir and Chandelure. Most of these pack a lot of power, but so does Jynx and she can sweep them all away.
Dragonite @ Dragon Fang/Lum Berry
Trait: Inner Focus
Adamant: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Dragon Dance
Outrage
ExtremeSpeed
Stone Edge
Dragon Dance, if you didn't know, raises Attack and Speed by one stage each. About 3 of those, and you are on course for delivering a sweep. Outrage is a powerful move, but that power comes at a price of Fatigue, and that is where Lum Berry comes into play, if you decide to have it. ExtremeSpeed is handy if you have almost defeated an opponent, but are not quite there yet. It comes in useful quite often and is good on the first turn, to give an edge and get rid of the effects from Focus Sash and Sturdy. Stone Edge is useful for the ice-types who pose a big threat to Dragonite, but he is sturdy enough to survive most attacks, and with that, return the favor and defeat the threats, like Weavile, Jynx and Froslass.
Venomoth @ SilverPowder
Trait: Tinted Lens
Modest: 252 SpA/4 HP/252 Spe
Sludge Bomb
Psychic
Bug Buzz
Stun Spore/Quiver Dance
Yes. Stun Spore. It may surprise you to know, but Stun Spore is a really useful move, and paralyzed opponents are useful because when this happens, you can land that all important hit that you've been dying to get in for the whole battle. If you decide to take Quiver Dance to up your survival rates, that would be also a good choice, because Venomoth is actually a nasty opponent when used in the right way, and having Quiver Dance is a good way of keeping it how you like it. Sludge Bomb is a powerful poison-type move which is useful against hard hitting opponents, like Volcarona, Breloom and Virizion. It also has a chance of poisoning them, which would be useful, gradually deminishing their HP. Psychic is useful against other poison-type threats, such as Toxicroack. There are also a few fighting-type threats, e.g. Terrakion, who would be hard done by to survive a Psychic from a max Special Attack EV Venomoth. Bug Buzz now is for STAB, but also for threats like Whimsicott, who can use moves like Taunt to stop Quiver Dance. But that is OK for Venomoth. Because it has Bug Buzz to pay the crime with. It packs a powerful punch, and with the SilverPowder backing it up, then you will find that Bug Buzz will be a useful move to have in your arsenal.
Overall, this team is quite tankish, and has been tested, and changed until i got the results above, which so far no-one has defeated. I think that this means that some people will be surprised when they find themselves being taken out by the pokemon they themselves expected to defeat.
