Really quick question regarding super effective resistance

Hi,

I just have a really question... Is there a pokemon in existence or elemental combo that allows a pokemon to have NO super effective attacks against it?

Normal type comes close, with only fighting super effective against it.

Then I started thinking of elemental combos, such as Palkia's water and dragon combo which means that only dragon attacks are super effective against it.

But I was wondering if there was a pokemon where no attacks are super effective against it?

Sableye and Spiritomb, under normal circumstances have no weaknesses. Other combinations that offer no weaknesses include Levitating Electrics (Rotom comes close), Levitating Poison/Darks (Weezing, Drapion, and Skutank come close), and that's about it, I believe.

Ghost/Dark type
Levitate/Magnet Rise Electric type
Levitate/Magnet Rise Dark/Poison type
Flash Fire Bug/Steel type
Flash Fire Grass/Steel type
Filter trait

These are the only type/trait/move combinations that would have no weakness. Only 2 of these are in existence, Ghost/Dark, in the form of Sableye and Spiritomb, and Filter, in the form of Mr. Mime & Mime Jr. Technically,

Levitate/Magnet Rise Poison/Steel type + Water Sport

has no weakness, as Water Sport reduces the Fire attack damage by 50%, but the game would still display the "super-effective" text. As this combo does not exist, however, the point is null and void.

The type with the most possible resistances is a

Levitate/Magnet Rise Steel/Electric type,

which does exist as Magnemite, Magneton, and Magnezone.
The best existing combo is Magnemite/ton/zone and Dragonair/Salamence/Altaria/Rayquaza, as together they resist every single type between them, ie, between CSMence and Magnezone, you resist every single type, which is very useful.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the replies everyone! You mentioned "under normal circumstances"... what do you mean by that? I'm mostly concerned with it displaying the text "Super Effective"... if it doesn't display it ever at all for sableeye/spiritomb that's fine with me.

By "normal circumstances", he means as long as it's not been affected by Foresight. That makes it lose its Ghost immunity to Normal and Fighting (which is super-effective against it).

Strangely, though, Foresight does not cause Sableye to be weak to Fighting in Colosseum\XD - just able to be hit by it. Someone must've messed up the programming there.
