VGC Regidrago (GP- 1/1)

[OVERVIEW]
:Regidrago:
*Regidrago is a great offensive Pokemon that has immense damage output and can sweep teams easily thanks to Dragon's Maw and Dragon Energy.

*When paired with Pokemon like Tornadus, the Ogerpon formes, and Indeedee that provide speed control, redirection, and priority immunity, respectively, it truly becomes difficult to hinder Regidrago's damage output. Gholdengo is one of its best partners, as it can effectively remove Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao, which are major threats for Regidrago.

*Regidrago cannot damage the most influential Pokemon of the format — Flutter Mane—with its STAB moves. Its middling Speed makes it vulnerable to faster threats, though with the right support that ensures that all the Fairy-, Steel-types, and common Focus Sash users like Chien-Pao are checked, it can absolutely steamroll teams.

[SET]
Dragon Fang Regidrago @ Dragon Fang
Level: 50
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Steel
Modest Nature
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power

[SET COMMENTS]

*Draco Meteor allows Regidrago to pick OHKOs when Dragon Energy isn't dealing much damage at low HP, and Earth Power allows it to damage to Steel types like Gholdengo and Kingambit.

*Regidrago boosts its damage output with Dragon Fang that stacks on Dragon Maw and does insane damage.

*Tera Steel is a great defensive Tera that allows it to resist its original weaknesses.

[OVERVIEW]
:Regidrago:
* Regidrago is a great offensive Pokemon that has immense damage output and can sweep games easily thanks to an unnerfed Dragon Maw and Dragon Energy. It has a 150 BP spread move in Dragon Energy that works like Eruption for Dragon types. Boosted by Dragon's Maw which wasn't nerfed coming from Sword and Shield to Scarlet and Violet, STAB Dragon Energy, Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse do huge damage. (Bit long, can shorten it and deliver the same information. Consider bringing up Pokemon it can KO for good matchups.)

* When paired with Pokemon like Tornadus, Ogerpon, and Indeedee that provide speed control, redirection and priority block respectively, it truly becomes difficult to control its damage output. Choice Scarf Urshifu-R Gholdengo (Significantly more common pairing.) is one of its best partners and can effectively remove Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao, which are some major threats for Regidrago. Coverage like Earth Power allows it to do good damage to Steel types like Gholdengo and Heatran. (This is better off in [SET COMMENTS]. Heatran is kind of dead right now so Kingambit is probably worth mentioning instead.)

* Regidrago being a Dragon Type (Unnecessary.) cannot damage the #1 Pokemon of the format - Flutter Mane with its STABs. Its middling speed and not great bulk despite of its huge HP stat (Regidrago is bulkier than uninvested Incineroar.) makes it vulnerable, though with the right support that ensures that all the Fairy-types, are removed and its counters in Steel-Types, and common Focus Sash users like Chien-Pao are checked, it can absolutely steamroll teams.

[SET]
Regidrago @ Dragon Fang
Level: 50
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Steel
Modest Nature
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Protect

[SET COMMENTS]
* Maximizes Regidrago boosts (Maximizes would be Specs.) its damage output with Dragon Fang that stacks on Dragon Maw and does insane damage. OHKOs most of the things at full HP and deals huge damage to support pieces like Incineroar and Amoonguss. The EVs are standard with Modest nature and rest in speed. (Unnecessary, EV spread is just 252/252. Id also suggest moving this under moves.)

* Dragon Energy is standard, Draco Meteor allows it to pick up OHKOs when Dragon Energy isn't dealing much damage (Bit awkward to read and misleading, better to mention Drago's hp instead.) and Earth Power is great coverage against Steel-Types (Like?).

* Tera Steel is a great defensive Tera that allows it to stay infront of Fairy, Dragon and Ice Types which before Tera dealt huge damage to Regidrago resist its original weaknesses.

[SET]
Regidrago @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Dragon's Maw
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power

[SET COMMENTS]
*Choice Scarf allows Regidrago to compensate for its middling speed. The main idea of this set is to outspeed common threats like Urshifu-R, Chien-Pao and others scarfers to pick KOs on them.
*Dragon Energy is standard, Draco Meteor dealing massive damage at low HP and Dragon Pulse is consistent STAB, Earth Power continues to be a good coverage move.
*Dragon Tera allows it to boosts its damage potential to insane heights and pick some crucial KOs.

*All in all, Regidrago is one of the strongest nukes in the meta and has a good defensive typing in Dragon, despite being weak to top mons of the format like Flutter Mane and Chien-Pao, with the right teammates and in the right hands, it can steamroll teams in a matter of minutes.

(In all 3 Regulation F regionals, Regidrago has not run Choice Scarf in day 2. Regulation F has grown as a slower-paced format with bulky structures being more common, making Choice Scarf harder to justify. The last sentence is kind of repetitive and should be explained enough in the Overview.

[SET COMMENTS]

*Draco Meteor allows it Regidrago to pick OHKOs when Dragon Energy isn't dealing much damage as Regidrago is at low HP and coverage like Earth Power allows it to do good damage to Steel types like Gholdengo and Kingambit. ('Like' indicates that it has more than one option.)

*Tera Steel is a great defensive Tera type that allows it to resist its original weaknesses.

*Regidrago boosts its damage output with Dragon Fang that stacks on Dragon Maw and does insane damage. (Ideally in the middle of the comments.)
