I remember seeing a thread a long time ago discussing draco meteor (or meteoric swarm as it once was), everyone (even chaos) thought it would suck and nobody would use it.
 
I find it funny to browse back at those old topics and see how wrong some things are. On the other hand, some were oh so right.....oh....so....right....

But yes I do remember the DP IS REALLY OFFENCIVE shit from months ago. Oh lord.

ah the good old days of adv where people actually used the standard spikes, and people actually considering using a forry with all the variations of spikes when the dp info came out.
 
I remember there was talk of banning Cressy, and for a while before that people thought it was going to be just a bad Suicune.

And the whole thing about Trick Room and Gravity being useless, and how everyone thought weather team usage was going to spike because of Damp/Heat Rock.

I actually use a Rain Dance/Damp Rock/Explosion/Hypnosis Bronzong to set up.

Heh. My Foretress actually does have all three spikes moves and Rapid Spin.
 
haha that was before it was found out solid rock only reduced SE damage 25% instead of the 33% everyone was hoping for
 
When you think about it, Rhyperior never did get a chance after that. Nontheless, it has maintained in the top 70, which isn't too bad considering it is made fun of so. :(

PORYGON-Z WILL BE BROKEN BECAUSE IT GETS DOUBLE STAB...

before it was found out adaptive only makes stab 2x instead of 1.5x

Thanks to search going down, I was thwarted in my quest to find the thread where people were thinking <move> would completely break Pokemon because it sets your game back 5 turns. "You can just Explode and if you mess up you can set it back 5 turns and try again!"
