Pet Mod Resetmons (COMPLETED!)

SLATE 9: CONFRONTATION
...LOADING TAPE....BEGIN RECORDING.
"So....

1784932769720.png

.....You've finally come."
"I am the Genetic Pokémon, Mewtwo...the ultimate creation of Dr. Fuji. I know why you've come down here....WHY have you come down here? You don't understand...why I did all this. As I travelled the world, I realized...that the world's disasters...every calamity, every chaos...was caused...not by humanity...but by the Pokémon themselves. Such dangerous creatures...if they had just been made right, and they were never made with such...power....this planet would be a safer place for all. Humanity would thrive...they would not need to worry about natural disasters that even the laws of nature would not be able to make. So...I searched for a solution. A solution, that would be my final gift...my final gift, to prove, that I was made for a purpose. A gift...that will let humanity, the planet's true creations, creations that have evolved from primordial ooze, rather than being spawns of the Alpha Pokémon, show their purpose at last. Eventually, I heard of a scientist that wanted to make every Pokémon like a human, the very thing that drove me to do this. So...I helped him with the project, and added my own flair...to ensure, that my final quest, my final mission for not just me, but for all Pokémon, would come to fruitition. If you think you have what it takes to defeat me...you're making a big mistake. The only way the future will be bright for you, humans, is if you let me carry out the final step of my plan. And to ensure that I shall do so...I will enact...the last blessing Dr. Fuji installed onto me. ...The same blessing...that the Plasma Leader wrongly put into those "DNA Splicers". SCIENTIST...I FUSE WITH THEE, AND THE MACHINE THAT WILL CARRY OUT MY GOAL!"
END RECORDING.
TO BE CONTINUED...

A video tape given to us by the brave survivors of the "Final Battle of the Pokémon World" shows....why this is happening. The scientists who managed to live to tell the tale are working hard on finding a second tape that depicts the final battle itself....
So, this is it, the penultimate slate of Resetmons! Let's see which of your submissions will make it through to the glory of the missing slots...
Name: The Pokémon's name. (The words that make up the Pokémon's name)

Appearance: This is optional: List out what your Pokémon looks like and what body parts it has.
Flavor: List out a description about what you think the Pokémon can do in the wild, or how it serves a purpose in the world.
Role: List out your Pokémon's role in this micrometa: Remember to take the previous winners into account. For example, you can assign it as a Setup Sweeper, or a Pivot.

Since the final slate will have no special theme whatsoever, this slate will be themed around underused types! Right now, there is only one Flying type in the form of Pilloflight, the only Normal type is Chlorofill, while Horspiral remains the only Steel-type in the metagame...every other type is well represented with at least two Pokémon for each!
Submissions will close next Thursday...GOOD LUCK!

Say, where have all the submissions gone? Have we once again chosen a poor timing to start the slate, or what? Regardless, this is your fair reminder that you have until Thursday to get your submissions in...if we don't get enough of them, we may have to delay the deadline: No-one wants any default winners after what happened in my other Pet Mod, after all!

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW_
....Oh, right, we haven't got any at all. My, this Pet Mod seems so obscure if no-one's contributing to it...unfortunately, that means we have no choice but to delay the deadline...the new one is this Sunday, or until we get at least two submissions, whichever comes first, so get them in before it's too late!

Name: Ker-Trunk [Trunk + “Ker-Chunk”]
Type: Normal/Steel
Stats: 105/105/50/40/50/105 (455)
Abilities: Friend Guard // Drizzle
Moves: Scald, Facade, Brick Break, Gyro Ball, Recycle, Mist, Aqua Ring, Baton Pass
Flavour:
- It is thought that Ker-Trunk was willed into existence by a child, saddened by the Great Reset. It is quite docile by nature, and never stops to rest.
- The key of a Ker-Trunk is what gives it life, and a Ker-Trunk key can turn for months. If a Ker-Trunks’ key ever stops turning, another Ker-Trunk will begin to wind it up again.
Visual Description: Wind-up toy elephant that’s designed to spray water out of its trunk.
Role: Hex-Immune Facade Mon / Rain Setter (Doubles: Friend Guard)
Notes: This thing is never running gyro ball. It’s simply way too fast outside of Sticky web CTeaming.

Name: Rottern [Rotten + Tern + ‘Turn’ (as in ‘to rot’)]
Type: Poison/Flying
Stats: 90/45/70/70/70/130 (475)
Abilities: Toxic Debris / Overcoat // Sheer Force
Moves: Sludge Bomb, Apple Acid, Brick Break, Defog, Recover, Heal Block, Leech Seed
Role: Focus Sash Toxic Debris Lead / Fast Sheer Force Life Orb / Fast Overcoat Support
Flavour:
- Rottern don’t actually have feathers, but rather millions of miniature needles. Rottern regularly shed these needles in public spaces. They appear to find this funny.
- Rottern Needles are the 5th most common cause for hospital trips since the Great Reset, due to their common appearance in parks and town squares. The toxin found in these sheddings is mild, but if gone untreated could lead to required amputation, or death.
Notes: BB is for the coverage to hit steels, sure, but much more importantly it helps Rottern support it’s team against screens.

Something happened to my third submission, and now I can’t get rid of it for some reason?? Whatever, just. Please ignore this submission for the time being.

Name: Tapu Waka
Type:

Abilities: Screen Cleaner / Telepathy
Stats: 90/90/115/90/55/40 (500)
Movepool: Spirit Break, Gyro Ball, Defog, Heal Bell, Mist, Glitzy Glow
Appearance: It has a similar body to the other tapus, with no defining features. It shell is grey and shaped like a crocodile head
Flavor: After ‘the great reset’ the tapu guardian quartet could no longer be found, instead the only tapu left is a husk of the other four, hollow and metallic.
Role: Bulky utility mon with disruptive moves like spirit break for stat drops, defog for hazard control, etc. Also actually deals pretty great damage, considering that steel/fairy is an amazing offensive and defensive typing, and gyro ball is pretty strong off of this thing. Screen cleaner is a pretty good ability too, because (despite brick break also existing i guess) baddy bad and glitzy glow are on a lot of mons.

Abilities: Filter / Wind Rider / Neutralizing Gas
Stats: 100 / 87 / 90 / 87 / 80 / 101 (545)
Movepool: Gyro Ball, Acrobatics, Defog, Baton Pass, Sludge Bomb, Heal Block, Mist
Appearance: Revavroom but attached to a plane
Flavor: Revavroom have now adapted, being able to fly, and their poisonous exhaust is mostly purified, though occasionally they do sputter toxic fumes from their engine
Role: Fast bulky pivot with good tools like hazard removal and n-gas

THE SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
See, I was right to wait an extra day for this! So, with this being the penultimate vote, the stakes are raised...but will the typing problem be fixed with the three new additions? Well, we know for a fact that we are guaranteed to get at least two new Steel-types with this, but what's the third on the brain got?
Vote on up to five of the below submissions! The top submission in your post will count as two votes instead of one, but you cannot put any of your own submissions as the top one. The TOP THREE submissions with the most votes will join the metagame! Because of this, we are guaranteed to get a new Fairy type, and thus end that ol' drought for good! So, here are your options....

oh, it appears we have a tie between PileOfTrubbish's Vrooosh and G-Luke's Dugtriad! Never to fear, the mysteries aren't here...in the event of a tie, whoever got the deciding vote first joins Resetmons! And that lucky old gremlin happens to be...

It's a close one....

Dugtriad, you have no-one to blame but the hand of fate. *it takes dugtriad away* I guess he likes losers too! Anyway, welcome to Resetmons, you three! You have earnt a spot in...well, beating the stuffing out of the other winners once you get coded into DragonHaven, which will be some time after slate ten. Anyway, here's the original submissions for the three winners:

Thank you for voting! The last slate of Resetmons will be starting shortly, it's the last one not because we're "done with this" the wrong way or because it bores us, but because we are taking cues from other Pet Mods that have a similar number of Fakemon once it's completed...it has been a truly amazing journey all the way through, and now it all comes down to this...so....GOOD....LUCK!

SLATE 10: THE GRAND FINALE: YOUR MOVE
...LOADING TAPE....BEGIN RECORDING.

THE END OF THE POKÉMON WORLD
TECHNICAL MACHINE ∞: RESET MEWTWO

"So...what have you sent out to face me? All of these strange mutants I see before my eyes...it amazes me how you tried to rebuild the Pokémon race after you destroyed it, unaware of the sabotage I made. But...if you resurrect the Pokémon species, you'll just repeat the same mistakes you made when you first tamed those Pokémon. You should have left them run wild, and then none of this world's calamities would have happened. But now...you are about to face...the biggest choice history has ever seen. So, what will it be...resurrect the Pokémon and continue this cycle of agony, or let them perish, and solve the problems that nature throws at you with nothing but what you have invented with your own hands? IT'S YOUR MOVE. MAKE YOUR SELECTION...NOW."
This was what Reset Mewtwo, the combined form of Mewtwo, the scientist who started all this, and his satellite that caused the "Great Reset", said during a recording of the epic final battle against him. All 27 of the previous Slate winners were seen fighting him...alongside the three that'll join with this final slate.

It's time to bring this long journey to an end...the last slate of Resetmons is here. Which three Fakemon will round up the roster of move-limited mutants? It's time....TO GO TO TOWN!

Abilities: Overgrow / Chlorophyll / Drizzle
Stats: 100/86/80/105/120/39 (525)
Movepool: Baton Pass, Apple Acid, Draco Meteor, Scald, Leech Seed, Recycle, Yawn, Gyro Ball, Rock Blast
Appearance: Venusaur but the plant on its back is much larger, and with longer petals. Venusaur itself is a bit smaller and has more saturated colours.
Flavor: Venusaur is able to create small rainforest environments when it walks, spewing rain from the large flower on its back.
Role: Slow rain-setting pivot, it's slower than pristycle and charmera, allowing its weather to be set afterwards, it is undersped by morterror, but it can threaten morterror with apple acid/scald. The idea is that it switches in, sets rain, deals high damage with draco meteor, then uses baton pass to pivot and allow the team's rain sweepers to switch in safely.

:sv/drampa:
Name: Fogglisk
Type:

Abilities: Magic Guard / Levitate / Air Lock
Stats: 70/100/90/95/140/45 (540)
Movepool: Draco Meteor, Mist, Defog, Fire Lash, Aqua Ring, Lunge, Gyro Ball, Heal Bell, Discharge
Appearance: A large lizard, with clouds covering their body, like altaria
Flavor: It glides through the sky, purifying the air through its cloud-like body
Role: Special wall, magic guard allows it to avoid chip from stuff like leech seed and poison, as well as switch in on hazards, allowing it to defog easily. Levitate is also an option, as it gives it a nice extra immunity to ground, air lock is here too but it's more just flavour i don't see it being used over levitate or mag guard. Lunge acts as alright coverage, plus helps it with its lower defense stat and gyro ball also helps against opposing fairy types.

:sv/vanilluxe:
Name: Vanillbet
Type:
ice.gif
electric.gif

Abilities: Electric Surge / Static / Technician
Stats: 67/114/121/118/65/60 (545)
Movepool: Discharge, Frost Breath, Glitzy Glow, Heal Block, Spirit Break, Rock Blast, Acrobatics, Stealth Rock, Brick Break
Appearance: A version of vanilluxe which is coated in a thick layer of multi-coloured sugar
Flavor: Its outer layer of colourful sugar acts as protection, causing foes coming into contact with it to be hurt
Role: Special wallbreaker mon, electric surge gives it a great boost on electric STAB, whereas technician gives it a great boost on ice STAB. Glitzy Glow can help it a lot with the lower special defense if it manages to outspeed, plus is good coverage against fighting types.

Role: Big ol' Multifaceted thing, but it's primarily heavy-offense. with Moxie to assist in boosting Acrobatics and Intimidate to allow it a sort of pivot-esque role.

Well, all good things must come to an end eventually...this is your fair reminder that submissions will be closing this Monday! Get in the best of the best before it's too late, or else they'll never get a chance to be in the voting!

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
Well, it seems like this will be a quiet finale...only five candidates signed up for the FINAL VOTE, and three will wrap up Resetmon's roster. At last, after nine slates, the journey will finally end with these final additions.... But who will they be?
Vote on up to five of the below submissions! The top submission in your post will count as two votes instead of one, but you cannot put any of your own submissions as the top one. The TOP THREE submissions with the most votes will join the metagame! So, here are your options....

VOTES ARE NOW CLOSED!
Well....this is it....the moment of truth! Who will be the last three Pokémon to join Resetmons? Who will wrap up this amazing journey of truth and ideals? And who will, most importantly, be the last three to check up on this Pet Mod? So, long and behold, the last three winners are....

And with that, Resetmons is finished. It's not done, there's still plenty of battles you can have over at DragonHaven, especially with slates 8-10 coming to the platform soon, stay tuned for that, but we now have our 30 Fakemon of the roster. I think that's more than plenty to create a functional metagame with only 30 moves! So....we believe everything went right with this, even if very little people decided to pitch in the last few slates with their entries, but at least we had no default winners! It comes to show that having a limited set of moves can really shape the flow of battle, and makes them easier to understand which move does which, and what to predict from each move. Of course, this is all my personal opinion, yours might differ...but regardless, I thank the community for helping shape this metagame together! You are free to post your reviews on the metagame's 30 Fakemon...and view them in the database below!

But say....aren't we forgetting something? Ah, yes...the final chapter of Resetmon's story. So...what happened after Reset Mewtwo was inevitably beaten? Well, click the spoiler below to find out....

"We interrupt this broadcast for breaking news....the scientists behind the restoration of "Pokémon" have announced the cancellation of their project today. When they defeated Reset Mewtwo, they realized that the only reason our world was in turmoil, the only reason this "Great Reset" ever happened, was because of the Pokémon themselves. We had grown too reliant on them to solve everything, to the point that we ourselves are nothing more than their reverse slaves. But this is not what humanity was built to do...nor was what Pokémon were built to do. And thus, the scientists have announced that we shall start over. They have uploaded the Pokémon that survived the Great Reset to a PC network called "DragonHaven" where they can show their potential all they like. That way, we can still witness their power....but not in a way that will harm our planet. But still, we have not forgotten about the Pokémon, which are now extinct by a technicality. Game designers are at work creating video games detailing the events that happened in regions in the past, while we start to take up the jobs that Pokémon would have done for us. The new "animals" roaming the world will refill the ecosystem and restore it to it's former glory, and while they aren't as powerful as Pokémon, they let us know...that we survived. That we survived the end of the Pokémon World...and the dawn of a new planet which we now live in. And we shall call that planet....

1788429407909.png

...EARTH.
THE END
And the moral of this story is...never be reliant on others...always believe in yourselves...and think twice before trusting a Genetic Pokémon that has an immense hatred of humans.
THANK YOU FOR SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRIES TO RESETMONS!
AND MORE....

At long last, the wait is finally over...The pull request of Resetmon's last update (Or at least the last update that brings in new Pokémon!) has been checked and sent: In a few days time, or when DragonHaven next gets merged, you'll be able to utilize the Fakemon from Slates 8-10 in battle! This will be your first chance to play the completed metagame and analyze who's the strongest and who's the weakest! (Also, did you see this metagame in the OM of the month votings? Sure, it didn't win, but it's nice that it got mentioned...)
