So, I've decided to try to play UU. I make a pretty decent team, and start laddering. After a while, I realise that I'm getting the hang of this UU thing, but it is getting a little repetitive, what with pretty much every other team running Staraptor.
This is a battle that turned up a little later, and it showed my why UU is so much fun. I believe i played decently here, considering I pretty noob to the metagame at the time. Anyways, here are the teams:

Good Game!
Props
+Slaking. What a freaking powerhouse. It scared the shit out of me every time it got into play, and took out a physical wall with a physical move
+Azumarill for taking out that Lanturn despite being cut to half its attack at the time.
+Uxie. It's an awesome lead as well as a really good generic switch in for the sake of scouting
+Entry hazards. For playing such a major role in the game
+Normal type physical sweepers. For being so damn scary.
+dragonslayer967 for the awesome match.
Slops
-Me. For not making some predictions that were quite obvious at the time and playing too conservatively at times.
-Letting dragonslayer get THREE FREAKING LAYERS OF SPIKES UP. God, I can't comprehend how that happened.
-Residual damage. All of it from spikes to burn damage. It built up and killed of several vital pokes to each of our teams
Thanks for reading the story. If you've gotten this far, it's further than I expected you to get. Post advice, revisions, problems, or just general comments.

OK, so I didn't die, and Roserade is in top condition. I seriously doubt he's going to let Roserade sleep it off, and give me free turns, so I'm going to scout the switch with a U-turn...Uxie is alive!!!!!

...and for him to take a kill. I can sort of see where this battle is going now. dragonslayer is going to sacrifice most of his team, and use sheer, brute force inherent mainly in that slaking to finish me off. The only method I can think of to combat that is by making strategic sacrifices of my own.

I choose to let Azumarill die. It really has done more than enough this match. Right. There are two things I could switch in at this point. If I switch in Shaymin, he could bring in Roserade or stay in. It comes down to mind games, because I think Shaymin could take both of the pokes he has left. Or, I could switch in Ursaring, and kill off his Roserade while the final showdown comes down to a speed tie. No brainer really isn't it?

So... this goes to prove that the karma caused by names doesn't mean anything. What a freaking awesome match. That was really intense, and while the hax was against me with freaking parahax coming to irritate me, it didn't really affect the match in general.
Good Game!
Props
