Manaphy @ Waterium Z
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 248 HP / 240 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Surf
- Psychic
- Rest
This set has rapidly been picking up steam on rain teams since OLT VI's ladder cycles. Thanks to Hydration, Manaphy can completely recover back to full HP with Rest under rain. Coupled with Tail Glow, this makes it very hard for slow balance and stall teams to deal with Manaphy, which tend to rely on wearing it down to check it otherwise. Pelipper is obviously a key teammate, allowing Manaphy to use Rest without any repercussion while also making Surf and Hydro Vortex significantly stronger thanks to Drizzle. Mega Swampert is also really important in order to check faster checks, such as Tapu Koko. Tornadus-T is a useful teammate because it can check Grass-types. Lastly, Ferrothorn and Ash-Greninja also make for excellent teammates because Spikes aid Manaphy greatly in pressuring bulkier teams.
