Okay honestly this game is making little sense. Every single PM I have sent has painted Austria as The Person Who Is Going To Win If We Don't Do Something. That being said, France has pulled his fleet away from Austria, convoyed an Army out of Holland, and generally has Not Attacked Austria. Russia has had every opportunity to realize Austria is just keeping him alive because it's convenient, even had a chance to help me out and get into Germany. He instead decided to try and capture Denmark, failing only because we're both selfish pieces of shit. Turkey is the only player who makes sense to me, and that's just because he shot himself in the foot and so now he's trying his best.

This game is fucking bananas and I may never play Diplomacy again because of how simple they'll seem in comparison.

Starting to think that attitude is the problem.
 
I don't see Austria winning yet as long as Turkey remains competent. Even of Turkey were to NMR, there's still much time left to form a grand alliance and deny an Austrian win.

Midgame in Diplomacy is mostly psychological pressure-handling in my opinion.
