With it's great bulk and access to Magic Guard, Reuniclus can be a nightmare for teams if left unchecked. Reuniclus fills the role of a bulky Calm Mind Sweeper perfectly, as it's tremendously hard to wear down, and has access to both Psyshock and Recover, giving Reuniclus an edge versus other Calm Mind users. Calm Mind of course is used to enable Reuniclus to sweep, only needing a couple of boosts to become threatening. Psyshock is a form of STAB that allows Reuniclus a more easy time against the likes of Blissey. Psychic however is an option if your team has no issue versus Blissey, as it hits Toxapex and Hippowdon harder. Thunder is the best form of coverage, allowing Reuniclus to hit Corviknight and Skarmory, while also providing a nice 30% chance of paralysis. Focus Blast is certainly an option however to give Reuniclus coverage over the likes of Tyranitar and Urshifu. Lastly, Recover keeps Reuniclus healthy throughout the duration of the match, allowing Reuniclus to act as a sponge to many Pokemon, such as Toxapex, Kommo-o, and Hippowdon, while also keeping Reuniclus healthy while setting up. 44 Speed EVs are used to outspeed Toxapex, the rest being placed into HP and Defense to increase Reuniclus' overall bulk.

Reuniclus is best suited towards bulky offense teams looking for a Calm Mind sweeper and sponge throughout the match. Reuniclus really appreciates Spikes support, so Ferrothorn and Skarmory make for excellent partners. Spikes help wear down Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Urshifu, and Hippowdon, and the aforementioned Spikes users have decent type-synergy with Reuniclus. Dark-types are usually Reuniclus' biggest problem, so Fighting and Fairy-types make for good partners. Clefable can support Reuniclus with Stealth Rock, and acts as a good answer to Tyranitar and Urshifu. Urshifu also makes for a great partner, easily taking on Tyranitar, while Reuniclus in return can help Urshifu against the likes of Toxapex and Clefable. Ghost-types such as Aegislash and Dragapult can force Reuniclus out, so Dark-types such as Mandibuzz and Tyrantiar make for great partners. Lastly, while Reuniclus can beat special walls such as Ferrothorn and Hippowdon one on one, a wallbreaker can make this a much less tedious task. As such, wallbreakers such as Specs Kyurem and Specs Magnezone can make for good partners.
