Revenge Killer Azelf

Has Boltbeam, and 383 spatk and some pretty good speed.
Any potential here?
should it have explosion?
 
revenge killing on azelf? certainly new, as I haven't ever seen this.
Theoreticly it could work good, and all those specific counters w/ choice scarf could prove handy, but you'll be withdrawing a lot after the opponent finds out it's scarfed.
psychic for STAB, and flamethrower for steels. pychic handles ghosts fine (not dusknoir though...), and grass knot is mainly for swampert (which, since this azelf is a revenge killer, should pick it off w/ psychic since it'll be weakened whem you try to take it down)

since it's scarfed, it's speed will be very high, so not that much speed EVs are needed, so give 252 to special attack to max it out, and give some to HP cuz it might need to take a hit.
explosion is only for blissey, and as a revenge killer, it'll need to stick around, so use your other pokes to take down the opponent's special walls and rip apart his team with revenge killing.
 
There is a Choice Scarf set in the analysis, but that one takes advantage of Explosion. I'd reccomend you do the same.

QFT. Scarf'd explosion is a handy safeguard to have around if you accidentially let something power up too much.

Anyways, a usable set, but by absolutely no means a new one (actually, isn't there a "don't slap a choice scarf on a pokemon and call it a new set" rule?).

Well it seemed like a good idea when i was developing my sunny day team, as i love revenge killers, but didn't want to use Garchomp.

All right, i'll add Explosion.
 
Yea it's not new, but it is really nice, catches scarfchomps off-guard, not to mention scarfcrosses. I actually have a nice one :)
