Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 144 HP / 132 Atk / 120 Def / 96 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Mega-Scizor is often seen as a huge offensive threat. However, Mega-Scizor has a base 140 Defense stat along with a base 100 Special Defense stat. Both of these are very respectable considering Mega-Scizor only has one weakness(fire). Adding more bulk through EVs only makes Mega-Scizor a bigger threat to your opponents. This Pokemon has the bulk to soak up hits and roost them off with ease. This Mega-Scizor set is not your typical wall for Pokemon without a fire type move. It also has the potential to set up a Swords Dance and sweep your opponent!

Here are some damage calculations to show you the bulk of this Mega-Scizor:
  • 252 Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 144 HP / 120+ Def Mega Scizor: 105-124 (33.1 - 39.1%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO
  • 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 144 HP / 96 SpD Mega Scizor: 125-148 (39.4 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
  • 252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 144 HP / 120+ Def Mega Scizor: 102-121 (32.1 - 38.1%) -- 96.3% chance to 3HKO

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp

Heatran is the perfect Pokemon to pair with Mega-Scizor. Heatran is immune to Mega-Scizor's one weakness(fire). Heatran can also soak up some Special Attacking moves that Mega-Scizor doesn't necessarily want to take, like a Life Orb Hurricane from a Tornadus-Therian. Another big role this Heatran plays in my team is to counter Fairy type Pokemon like Clefable, Klefki, and Sylveon, and check Pokemon like Talonflame and the Lati twins. Heatran also walls physical attacking Steel type Pokemon like Scizor and Jirachi. Heatran is very important to keep alive in a battle, this allows you to keep rocks up for threats like Talonflame and the Mega Charizards, and use taunt on annoying stall Pokemon such as Chansey and Blissey.

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Keldeo is my main wall-breaker for this team. There is not a lot of Pokemon in the OU metagame that can take a Choice Specs STAB(Same Type Attack Bonus) Hydro Pump or Secret Sword. Secret Sword is great for Specially Defensive Pokemon that are frail in the Physical Defense stat, since it hits based off of the opposing Pokemon's Defense stat instead of the Special Defense stat. Keldeo is also great for getting rid of Tyranitar, Weavile, and Bisharp which can Pursuit trap my Latios. Keldeo's sheer power and good speed makes it a reliable revenge killer or lead. It is common for people to try to set up hazards against you turn one, so why not lead with Keldeo, and do massive damage to some of the most popular hazard setting Pokemon in OU!(Tyranitar, Garchomp, Gliscor, Landorus-Therian, Skarmory, Heatran, Excadrill, Ferrothorn, Hippowdon, Chansey)

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Energy Ball

I know what you're thinking. "A four attack Latios, that set is not good." But, hear me out on this one. Latios is notorious for doing one thing, and one thing only-dropping Draco Meteors. Which it does very well at because, Latios is so fast and it can get rid of a lot of Dragon type threats. The only downside to using Draco Meteor is that the move will harshly(-2) lower your Special Attack, almost forcing you to switch out. This lets your opponent gain momentum which can be very costly. A lot of typical Latios checks/switch ins are Scizor, Ferrothorn, Jirachi, and Skarmory all four of these resist Draco Meteor and soak up the damage relatively well. Hidden Power [Fire] allows me to deal with Steel type checks very easily. When your opponent sees that you carry Hidden Power [Fire], they instantly think, "Oh his last move is either Recover, Defog, or Calm Mind." WRONG. If the opponent brings out a bulky Water, Ground, or Rock type like Rotom-Wash, Manaphy, Slowbro, Azumarill, Hippowdon, Diggersby, or Tyranitar(not choice scarfed) they take massive damage from an Energy Ball they did not see coming. Having Hidden Power [Fire] and Energy Ball, gives Latios much better coverage while not forcing me into using Draco Meteor and going to -2 Special Attack. Energy Ball is also a great way to get rid of the rare sight of a Quagsire, Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Swampert. The last thing Latios is used for on this team is to deal with the threat of Keldeo, and a last ditch speed tie attempt with the Lati twins.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 56 HP / 220 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance

Dual Dance Landorus-Therian is an extremely underrated set to use in the OU metagame. At +2 Speed this Landorus outspeeds everything that does not have any boosts. Earthquake and Stone Edge give this set good coverage. The trick to using this set is either bluffing the Choice Scarf, or if they hit you with a contact move, bluff the defensive set and try to set up(if necessary). Landorus-Therian is a huge threat when you set up with it. Landorus-Therian can easily sweep an entire team or clean up at the end of a battle. The downfall to using this set, is that you do not have any recovery and are not that bulky. So try to avoid taking unnecessary hits with Landorus-Therian.

Crobat @ Choice Band
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- U-turn
- Defog

Choice Banded Crobat's STAB Brave Bird hits like a truck! Not only does Crobat hit hard, but it hits fast. Even at 216 Speed EVs, nothing in the OU metagame outspeeds Crobat.... Nothing(Of course if they have a Choice Scarf they outspeed). Crobat is a fantastic Fighting type counter, as it quad-resists Fighting, Grass, and Bug type moves. Crobat provides my team with another reliable revenge killer, Fairy counter(except Klefki), and sheer speed. Perhaps the most important use for Crobat is Defog to get rid of hazards if necessary. The Choice Band does hinder the Defog, as no one wants to be locked into Defog. I have tried the Life Orb and Black Sludge sets, but I like the Choice Banded set the best as it just dishes out a lot of damage. The last thing that Crobat is used for on this team is to go through screens and substitutes, that would otherwise be dangerous and a threat to the rest of my team.

Hey Rezilient pretty cool team! I really enjoy how you're using SD Scizor, although I have a few changes which could help improve your team!

Talonflame
663.png
> Crobat
169.png
.
Both are pretty good band users but Talonflame outclasses crobat due to access to flare blitz and gale wings. Gale wings is also able to revenge kill things like weavile which can be really threatining if not played around properly with a combo of Knock Off/Ice Shard/Icicle Crash and Low Kick. Also have a 9 Point Base attack doesn't really change much, same with a 4 Point base Speed difference. The only niche for Crobat over talonflame is able to hit fairies due to Cross Poison STAB (Note that talon can still inflict decent damage on most fairies with banded BB) and being able to hit things such as mega gyarados behind subs due to Infiltrator. Crobat also struggles against steels that are very common in the tier such as scizor and ferrothorn.

Defog > Latios Energy Ball Latios
381.png
OR Bulky Defog Scizor
212-mega.png
> SD Scizor.
212-mega.png

I understand how you like running energy ball latios because it hits things such as Manaphy, Azu, Hippo etc but majority of the mons which energy ball hits take massive damage from Draco due to a 130 BP and STAB. Defog will also make it easier to clear hazards so Talon will not take mega damage from Stealth Rocks. A Bulky defog set on scizor can be used as you already have a physical set up sweeper, yet again SD mega scizor can punch big holes in teams especially at +2, so this really is completely up to you but extremely helpful.

Lefties Double Dance Lando-T > Rocky Helmet Double Dance Lando-T.

I can understand Rocky Helmet but Lefties provide you some recovery for Lando-T, usually physical attacker don't tend to stay in on Lando-T due to the -1 in attack. With some recovery Lando-T has a slightly easier time sweeping. This is again, completely up to you

My suggest is to change the set on

in Power herb Magma Storm. This is help your team vs more problems: 1) help you vs Stall team, 2) With Solar Beam lure Rotom-W, Gastrodon, Azumarill (your team is more weak at this pokemon) and Seismitoed, that is very good for the team.
The given EV spread lets Heatran outspeed a plethora of threats such as Adamant Excadrill and Jolly Mega Heracross, both of which are decimated by Magma Storm; it also lets Heatran outrun and 2HKO standard bulky Will-O-Wisp Mega Charizard X with Earth Power. Other uses of the spread include outrunning Mega Tyranitar, standard stallbreaker Mew, Adamant Gyarados, Dragonite, Breloom, and Bisharp, giving Heatran the ability to cripple them with fire off a powerful Magma Storm.

Thank you Sanjay, I really appreciate your input! I do love the Talonflame idea and will definitely try it out. Another form of priority is great to include in a team. The only downfall is like you said, the non stab Steel Wing for the Fairy type Pokemon and Talonflame would take 50% from rocks. Nevertheless, good input and thanks again for your help. :)

Thank you EzioAuditorium(clever name lol), I really think that Heatran set can help my team a lot. I appreciate your input and will definitely give it a try, thanks again! :)

yo

so this is a pretty good team overall but there are quite a few optimizations.

first off you should most definitely run Offensive SD > Defensive SD Mega Scizor. Offensive Mega Scizor fits the composition of your team so much better than the defensive set due to it bringing a lot more power overall and maintaining the concept of heavy offense. It also gives you an excellent cleaner after Keldeo has punched holes in the opposing team. Next your team really would appreciate a form of hazard removal seeing as Hazard Stack (Spikes + Stealth Rock) wears down your team incredibly fast due to lack of overall immunities / resistances towards it. With Heatran and Keldeo on your team you already handle Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor pretty well in all, and Offensive Mega Scizor lures Ferrothorn with Superpower. So to remedy this you should run Defog > Energy Ball + Roost > Hidden Power Fire Latios opposed to 4 Attacks. It's imperative you maintain a decent Keldeo and fast Electric switch-in especially with the way your team is currently set so Keldeo doesn't have a field day with you, neither Mega Manectric.

Crobat isn't exactly OU material. If you want to maintain a way to defeat Bulky-Grasses reliably, you should run Mixed LO Tornadus-T with Taunt > Crobat. Mixed Tornadus-T gives you an excellent buffer against most faster threats and increases your matchup against offense. You could definitely run Icy Wind somewhere in the set. Right now other Bulky-Ground types are pretty annoying, especially Tank Chomp seeing as Keldeo is lacking Icy Wind in favor of Hidden Power Electric (which is good btw) and most Landorus-T EV themselves to survive a Draco Meteor from Latios which allows them to heavily damage you with U-Turn or Knock Off. Icy Wind provides nifty speed drops which increases your setup opportunities, especially when using Mega Scizor. If you care not about that Superpower is the superior option over Icy Wind. Taunt provides great utility by helping with your matchup against slower teams. If you think Heatran is fine enough U-Turn or another coverage option is fine. Finally you should run Stallbreaker Heatran > Specially Defensive. Stallbreaker Heatran gives you a lovely way of breaking down a lot of Stall cores which your team currently lacks right now. You still maintain Stealth Rock, but you pressure bulkier / stallish teams a lot better instead of relying upon setup or only Specs Keldeo. Lastly Leftovers > Rocky Helmet would be a better item on DD Landorus-T rather than Rocky Helmet as you are supposed to prioritize setting up rather than checking threats.
