[SET COMMENTS]

Rhyperior makes use of its good bulk, good power, and decent typing to have notable defensive utility as a team's Electric immunity while also offensively threatening a decent amount of the tier and punishing switches by setting Stealth Rock. Its bulk in conjunction with Solid Rock means that Rhyperior is capable of taking hits from certain threats, including Darmanitan, Entei, and Steelix, and taking at least one big hit from huge threats such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, and Mienshao. Substitute can be used if your team already has a Stealth Rock setter, allowing Rhyperior to still punish switches by giving itself cover to deliver a big hit. Megahorn is the preferred option in the last slot, as it OHKOes Zarude and 2HKOes Psychic-types such as Reuniclus and Necrozma. Investing most EVs into HP and Special Defense allows Rhyperior to take hits from Toxtricity and Raikou better. Substitute Rhyperior can also consider using a more offensively oriented EV spread, such as 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe with an Adamant nature, which lets it outrun Registeel and Diancie.

Rhyperior's mix of offensive and defensive utility allows it to fit on balance and bulky offense teams that appreciate it taking some big hits while also dishing out good damage and setting up Stealth Rock. Like many Ground-types in RU, Rhyperior is not able to handle the Electric-types permeating the tier on its own. Teams should also have alternate forms of counterplay, which could include their own Electric-type, such as Raikou, or Grass-types such as Zarude and Celebi, in order to properly check these threatening Pokemon. Rhyperior's typing gives it a very useful Flying resistance, which allows it to check Pokemon such as Togekiss, Crobat, and Talonflame; this is appreciated by teammates such as Zarude, Heracross, and Mienshao. Rhyperior's quadruple weakness to Water- and Grass-type moves means that it needs resistances to both of these backing it up. Options such as Volcanion, Zarude, and Togekiss are good teammates in this regard.

[SET COMMENTS]

Choice Band Rhyperior is a powerful wallbreaker that is capable of 2HKOing virtually the entire tier. In addition, it also retains some of its defensive utility thanks to Solid Rock and its excellent natural bulk. Megahorn is used in order to OHKO Zarude, Necrozma, and Celebi as well as giving Rhyperior a chance to OHKO some Reuniclus sets. Ice Punch confirms an OHKO on Noivern without having to rely on Stone Edge while also having generally good coverage and reliably pushing damage onto Flying- and Grass-types. Solid Rock is still the preferred ability in order to maximize Rhyperior's defensive presence. An Adamant nature is used for maximum power, although a Jolly nature can be run to outrun Seismitoad.

Choice Band Rhyperior should be used as an early- or mid-game wallbreaker that can break down defensive cores consisting of common Pokemon such as Togekiss, Cobalion, and Registeel for faster teammates to clean up later in the game. Some excellent faster teammates are Raikou, Xurkitree, Zarude, Shift Gear Toxtricity, and Choice Scarf Heracross. Many of the aforementioned can also deal with the bulky Water- and Grass-types that Rhyperior sometimes struggles to remove outright, such as Suicune, Seismitoad, and Celebi. Choice Band Rhyperior is not a very good check to most of the tier's Electric-types, so alternate forms of counterplay should be employed. This can include Grass-types, such as Zarude and Celebi, as well as your own Electric-types, such as Raikou. Pivots such as Zarude, Thundurus, and Raikou should be employed to get Rhyperior in safely so it can fire away, and the aforementioned trio also aid Rhyperior in handling bulky Water-types, which it can struggle with.

Stealth Rock Rhyperior makes use of its titanic bulk, good power, and decent typing to become a Stealth Rock setter that has notable defensive utility in acting as a team's Electric-immunity while also being offensively threatening to decent amount of the tier. Megahorn is the preferred option in the last slot due to it hitting Zarude hard. Another option that can be used over Megahorn is Ice Punch, which can hit Pokemon such as Noivern without having to rely on the unreliable Stone Edge while also confirming an OHKO onto Zygarde-10%. megahorn is too important Substitute can also be used if your team already has a Stealth Rocker, therefore allowing Rhyperior to punish switches not by setting up Stealth Rock but instead setting up Substitutes and preparing to deliver a big hit. Such a set can also consider using a more offensively oriented EV spread. move this to last Leftovers allows Rhyperior to have some passive recovery and stay healthy to the best of its ability. Solid Rock allows Rhyperior to take a few more super effective hits, even allowing it to take weaker Scalds from the likes of Raikou and Seismitoad in an emergency. 16 Attack EVs and an Adamant Nature hits a jump point, while the rest of the EVs go into Special Defense, allowing Rhyperior to take hits from Toxtricity and Thundurus better.

Stealth Rock Rhyperior makes use of its titanic bulk, good power, and decent typing to become a Stealth Rock setter that has notable defensive utility in acting as a team's Electric-immunity while also being offensively threatening to a decent amount of the tier. (u alr mention sr setter later on, fluff. also, titanic bulk sounds kinda overstating it since on spdef side its base 55 spdef, use another word). Megahorn is the preferred option in the last slot due to it hitting allows Rhyperior to OHKO Zarude hard, as well as 2HKO Psychic-types such as Necrozma and Reuniclus. (you dont just hit zarude hard, you ohko that, show it. also, mention more stuff you can hit w it, its not only for one mon, e.g. u cleanly 2hko reun if u hit which is good af cuz u dont need a crit to beat it as u outspeed). Leftovers allows Rhyperior to have some passive recovery and stay healthy to the best of its ability. (fluff, basically everyone knows what lefties does by now). Solid Rock allows Rhyperior to take a few more super effective hits better, even allowing it to take weaker survive Scalds from the likes of Raikou and Seismitoad in an emergency if at full health. (you dont take a few more, u just take 1 from full. also, the scald itself isnt weaker, ur ability just lessens the dmg). 16 Attack EVs and an Adamant Nature hits a jump point, while the rest of the EVs go into Special Defense, allowing Rhyperior to take hits from Toxtricity and Thundurus Raikou better. (u still die to a gk from thundy, no matter the investment). Substitute can also be used if your team already has a Stealth Rocker, therefore allowing Rhyperior to punish switches not by setting up Stealth Rock but instead setting up Substitutes and preparing to deliver a big hit. Such a set can also consider using a more offensively oriented EV spread. (suggest 1 for the reader and explain what it does, otherwise new players gonna be confused at a mention of an offensive spread without example. a suggestion wld be to hit a speed benchmark (perhaps >136 or >156), max atk, rest in hp, check the speed tiers and decide)

Rhyperior's mix of offensive and defensive utility allows it to fit on balance and bulky offense teams that appreciate it taking some big hits while also dishing out good damage and setting up Stealth Rock. It is also capable of taking at least one big hit from huge threats such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, Thundurus, and Mienshao. Therefore, Rhyperior can be used to support your defensive core by eating up these big threats. (not sure why this is here instead of first paragraph, because its just saying solid rock allows you to take hits. instead, mention rhyps ability to check flying types like crobat, talon and togekiss, and which teammates appreciate this. examples that comes to mind are zarude and heracross). Rhyperior's quadruple weakness to Water- and Grass-type moves means that it needs resistances to both of these backing it up. Options such as Zarude, Suicune, Volcanion, Crobat, and Togekiss are good teammates in this regard.

(probs too many examples listed here. instead, remove crobat and incin and focus on the 3 others that can help rhyp by handling bulky waters - mention this btw) These pivots can let Rhyperior get in safely and fire attacks away.

It's (remove apostrophe) bulk, in conjunction with Solid Rock, means that Rhyperior is capable of taking multiple hits from certain threats including Darmanitan, Incineroar, and Togekiss. (since ure mentioning in conjunction w solid rock, id like to see mons that have super effective moves vs it, replace mentions w 2 more mons from the next sentence) It is also capable of taking at least one big hit from huge threats such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, Thundurus, and Mienshao. (combine w previous sentence, thund is also not possible since gk ohkos) Megahorn is the preferred option in the last slot, as it OHKOs Zarude and 2HKOs Psychic-types such as Reuniclus and Necrozma. Solid Rock allows Rhyperior to take a few more super effective hits, even allowing it to take weaker Scalds from the likes of Raikou and Seismitoad in an emergency. Substitute can also be used if your team already has a Stealth Rocker, therefore allowing Rhyperior to punish switches not by setting up Stealth Rock but instead setting up Substitutes and preparing to deliver a big hit. Such a set can also consider using a more offensively oriented EV spread, with a spread of 84 Speed EVs, Max Attack, and the rest in HP being an option such as 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe with an Adamant Nature (makes it shorter AND readers can just see the spread straight up), with the Speed EVs being enough to outrun Registeel, Diancie, and Tangela. and Diancie. (i know tang is in the same spe tier, but in most scenarios outspeeding it does not benefit rhyp, so id rather its not mentioned. edit: apparently its base 60 LOLOLOL)
