Rising through UU

Hey everybody, I'm SnDoubleOp . I play PO and you might see me on the ladder as SnDoubleOp/SnoopyDoDoubleG/some variation of snoop doggs name. Anyways, this is my UU team that has currently been rising through the rank at a pretty decent pace, but I need help with a few problems. Here we go.
Changes in Bold

395.gif

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Surf/Scald
- Ice Beam
- Roar

Empoleon is my usual lead as he can take hits from just about anybody and still manage to set up stealth rock. Roar is there to phaze out setup sweepers/BPers/ruin wish passing/pokemon I just don't want to deal with at the moment. I usually use scald but the burn chance is pretty low and I'd rather have the extra power because a Torrent + STAB surf is actually pretty powerful. Ice beam hits zapdos/flygon hard if they make the mistake of switching into him and also wrecks a lot of flying/grass pokemom. EVs are to maximize special bulk and leftovers to keep him alive, but im debating trying focus sash, thoughts?

237.gif

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Close Combat
- Toxic
- Stone Edge

Hitmontop is my spinner/defensive wall who is surprisingly bulky especially with intimidate. Mach punch is good to revenge kill pokemon with low HP or to really hurt weaville/steels. Toxic cripples a lot of walls / anything but steels/poisons and is my main attempt at countering snorlax/porygon2 which usually cause me problems. Stone edge is mostly filler but helps to deal with chandy. EVs are there to make him physically bulky and leftovers for obvious reasons.

609.gif

Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

Specs chandy is a monster in UU. Fire blast hits anything hard coming off 587 SpA + STAB, and if it manages to get a flash fire boost then it can do some serious damage. Shadow ball is there to take out other chandelures who try to switch in on a fire blast and for good STAB coverage. Energy ball is to wreck waters/grounds/swampert/etc. Trick is to help ruin defensive walls, namely snorlax/porygon too, along with toxic. EVs are to make him a cannon and outspeed most necessary threats.

553.gif

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 206 Spd / 50 HP
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Superpower

Krookodile is one of the members this team is based around. Moxie is a such a good late game cleanup ability that can also sweep teams 6-0 if they aren't careful. Crunch is a powerful STAB move that can hurt ghosts/psychics hard. Earthquake is great coveage and STAB that has swept teams that lack a resistance. Aerial ace is to OHKO any heracross that I happen to come across. Superpower is mainly filler and I hate usuing it due to the stat drops but it can help wreck snorlax/registeel/porygon2 if I need too. Speed EVs to outspeed scarfcross by like 2 points then the rest are dumped into bulk/power.

469.gif

Yanmega @ Life Orb/Expert belt
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Rock]

Yanmega is the other pokemon this team is based around. Life orb yanmega is so strong, especially with speed boost, but I really hate the huge recoil damage :(. Therefore I'm trying out expert belt but idrk, thoughts on that? The only other things I hate is SR. Other than that it wrecks. Air Slash is a good secondary STAB that has a good flinch chance witch comes in handy. Bug buzz is a powerful STAB that hurts most things. Protect is to get some speed/stall and HP Ground hurts chandy/other fire/poison/steel pokemon but doesn't usually do enough damage to 1 or even 2hko anything so I am looking for a replacement for that move. EVs to maximize power.

492.gif

Shaymin @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Rest

Shaymin's been a savoir to my team. He has pretty good stats and is pretty bulky with synthesis recovery. Seed flare is such a powerful STAB with a great chance for -2 SpD drop which has saved me many times. Earth power destroys fire pokemon that try to switch into shaymin and to cover a few of his weaknesses. HP fire is to stop grass pokemon from walling this set. Finally, Synthesis is there for reliable recovery that makes this set semi-bulky ish.

Anyways, that's the team, main threats listed below. Thanks for viewing/rating!

Threat List
Names in RED are my highest threats GREEN are my lowest

Porygon2 -
233.gif

Porygon 2 is easily one of my top threats mainly due to the eviolite. I usually try to get a free switch in to krookodile when it recovers and hit a superpower but if it's running ice beam he gets taken out fairly quickly. Other than that I usually try to 2HKO it with chandys fire blasts but one again, ice beam sucks.

Snorlax -
143.gif

More defensive snorlax to be more specific, curse-laxs I can usually deal with pretty easily. But usually I try to intimidate it with hitmontop so it cant really damage me then superpower it / seed flare it to death, once again I have no real solution.

Zapdos -
145.gif

Zapdos is a cannon. Outspeeds most of my team and hits 4/6 super-effectively. Usually I try to catch a heat wave with chandys flash fire then fire back with a +1 Fire blast and that usually does it but its pretty hard to predict it just right. If chandys gone zapdos becomes a real problem.

Gligar -
207.gif

Gligar's a semi-dangerous pokemon to deal with but if empoleon is alive I can 1/2hko it with torrent surf. But if empoleon is KOd and it's late game it's usually trouble. Eviolite sucks :/

Darmatarian -
555.gif

Scarf darm to be exact. other I can outspeed/KO with krooks earthquake. But I usually try to intimidate it with hitmontop and toxic it then hit it with stone edges until it dies.

Chandelure -
609.gif

Chandy's not too big of a threat to my team but specs/scarf/sub LO should never really be taken lightly especially if my krookodile or empoleon are KOd.

Heracross -

Scarf cross is one of the top threats in UU but I can usually deal with him pretty easily. Krookodile outspeeds/OHKOs it with aerial ace.

I think you can help some of your problems with a few small adjustments. I'd use either Close Combat or Hi Jump Kick over Mach Punch. Without Technician and any attack investment, Mach punch is really lack luster. This will give it some extra punch against Porygon2 and Snorlax, hopefully mitigating your problem. Zapdos is going to be a big problem, unless you are willing to exchange a member of your team for something like Snorlax or Raikou. As for Gligar, have you tried using Shaymin to check it? It's Special Defense isn't nearly as impenetrable, and Shaymin has some power. Gligar often uses Stealth Rocks its first turn out, and if you can get Chandelure in there safely, your opponent is in for some hurt.

There are few small nitpicks that I have. If you run Timid on Yanmega, it allows you to tie with Jolly Darmantian and outspeed Jolly Heracross (it loses otherwise) after one boost. While this is by no means a surefire check, combine it with Chandelure and you have ways to handle Darmanitan. And yes, I'd stick with Life Orb. The power difference is big, Yanmega goes for more neutral damage than super effective. I'd also run Timid on Shaymin. It benefits from outrunning several threats in the 90 range, such as Darmanitan, Arcanine, and Roserade. I'd also use Air Slash over HP Fire. It still hits Grass types, but a little harder with a flinch chance. It also hits x4 on Heracross, which is always nice. Lastly, Chandelure can get away with the more powerful Modest, since not much inhabits the 80-70 range that invests in speed.

Close Combat or Hi Jump Kick > Mach Punch

Timid>Modest on Yanmega and Shaymin

Keep Life Orb on Yanmega

Modest>Timid Chandelure

Think about if you want to sub something for a Zapdos counter, I can help you if you'd like.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I agree LO works better on Yanmega so I'm back to that, but idk about timid on it because I can protect and get a speed boost if I need to outspeed, but ill try it. Close combat helps with snorlax etc but the stat drops suck :(
But yeah I'm willing to get some of somebody to counter zapdos what would you suggest?

HP Rock on Yanmega hits Zapdos whilst still getting Fire-types. Also, you could try Stone Edge > Aerial Ace on Krookodile.

Toodles

I think you team is very good and very balanced , A suggestion would be using rest over synthesis but then you would have to switch out . Other than that great team :D

HP rock is working pretty good on yanmega thanks for that :) but I like aerial ace on krook because it 1HKOs and outspeeds scarf cross

Thanks for the suggestion rest > synthesis helps alot more

Just a small suggestion irrelevant to your team; change your original post to suit your changes. It will make it easier to understand your changes.
