I play Pokemon since Gen 1, but never tried the competetive scene. But now I thought i'd give it a try!
So I read some guides and stuff and tried my best on building a good team

Pokemon: Starmie
Item: Leftovers
EVs: Timid(252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 SpD)
IVs: 0 Atk
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves: Scald, Psyshock, Recover, Rapid Spin

I tried some teamcomps and i felt i needed a Spinner, Starmie looks great for this. Scald with it's 30% burn is also good to have and Psyshock comes good also i think. Recover w/ Natural Cure worked fine in my test battles.

vaporeon.gif

Pokemon: Vaporeon
Item: Leftovers
EVs: Bold (252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpD)
IVs: 0 Atk
Ability: Water Absorb
Moves: Protect, Wish, Roar, Scald

Vaporeon is my favourite Mon and i wanted to have it in my team. I use it to tank some damage, while the opponent is burned/poisoned and to swap his sweepers out, that are about to boost their stats. Roar was something i felt was missing after a few test matches, because the enemy could just spam Calm Mind etc. and I couldn't do anything, and it's also a great combo with Spikes and Stealth Rock. However, I don't know if it's used right on Vaporeon. Scald + Water Absorb help me in a water vs water battle, that I always win like that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ferrothorn.gif

Pokemon: Ferrothorn
Item: Leftovers
EVs: Impish
IVs: 0 Atk
Ability: Iron Barbs
Moves: Spikes, Stealth Rock, Power Whip, Leech Seed

I use Ferrothorn as an Utility Tank to set up some hazards, but still dealing damage. It has an incredible lifetime with Leech Seed and Leftovers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

alakazam-mega.gif

Pokemon: Alakazam
Item: Alakazite
EVs: Timid (252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 SpD)
IVs: 0 Atk
Ability: Magic Guard
Moves: Psyshock, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Hidden Power Fire

I use M-Alakazam as Special Sweeper with many different Abilities. Hidden Power Fire because Fire was missing in my team comp.

Im not completely confident with him yet, i just have him as a Mega because why not. I think I need to replace him with someone else, but don't know who.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

lucario.gif

Pokemon: Lucario
Item: Life Orb
EVs: Jolly (252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 SpD)
IVs: 0 SpA
Ability: Justified
Moves: Close Combat, Iron Tail, Bullet Punch, Swords Dance

Not sure if i should take Justified or Inner Focus.

Lucario is my Physical Sweeper with Swords Dance and some powerful attacks. Bullet Punch is great because it goes first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

blissey.gif

Pokemon: Blissey
Item: Leftovers
EVs: Impish (252 Def, 252 SpD, 4 HP)
IVs: 0 SpA
Ability: Natural Cure
Moves: Soft-Boiled, Heal Bell, Toxic, Seismic Toss

Blissey is a great Tank. It can deal damage throgh Toxic and survive incredibly long. Seismic Toss helps me against some Sweepers. Heal Bell is used to support my team and well yeah, Soft-Boiled to survive

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So that's my team yet! How I said, I'm not sure what Sweepers I should take, maybe I could even swap Ferrothorn with Forretress w/ Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin. Then I'd have Toxic Spikes with me, which Ferrothorn can't learn, and I have Rapid Spin so I can Swap Starmie out.

Hey so I don't claim to be an expert, but I noticed a few things that I'll throw at you. I think your team is lacking some offense. I would look at some counters to electric and grass (besides HP Alakazam), because they both pose a serious threat to Starmie and Vaporeon. I also think Vaporeon is a little redundant because you already have 2 serious stallers (Ferrothorn and Blissey) and water coverage (Starmie). You also don't have a counter to the ever-present dragon sweeper, so for that I would either give one of your water types Ice Beam or give Alakazam Dazzling Gleam. If you want to go more towards a stall team route, I would give someone Will-O-Wisp to nerf an opponents physical sweeper so you can tank more effectively. Just a few things I noticed, hope it helped!

inb4 lock
edit: oh yeah and dude are you like still gen 2 with starmie and blissey lel
also iron tail lucario though
and dat ferro with 0 atk IVs lol
Oops, typo! Ferro should have 0 SpA IVs, since it only knows a physical move
What's wrong with Starmie and Blissey?^^

And yeah I think I didn't think enough about giving Lucario Iron Tail, got an idea what I could take instead?

Yeah I just put Vaporeon in because I liked it^^ though I had some good use for it yet.
And what I also noticed was that I get wrecked by Dragons, I guess I could swap out Vaporeon for a Fairy Type?

I replaced Alakazam's Focus Blast with Dazzling Gleam so i can fight dragons. I also replaced Vaporeon with this:

Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Roar
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

thoughts?

Mamoswine should have ice shard and earthquake. STAB ice shard demolishes garchomp and helps revenge dragons and flying types where as STAB EQ coming from a massive attack hurts anything that doesn't resist it. I guess you could run icicle crash over shard, but the priority from shard is really quite useful.

Starmie should probably have ice beam over recover. Ice beam gives great coverage and is great for revenge killing dragons or just outright out-speeding and OHKO'ing things like garchomp and dragonite (after rocks damage) and both landorus forms. Starmie is quite frail so recover won't be of that much use.

Blissey… change to chansey lol. Chansey with eviolite is way bulkier than blissey on the special and physical side. Chansey is absurdly bulky and doesn't go down to anything. It's so bulky that people actually measure a pokemons power on weather or not they can 2HKO chansey. Literally no unboosted pokemon can reliable do this making it a much more reliable cleric and supporter as it's able to keep itself alive. Blissey goes down too easily to strong physical attackers.

If you have any questions feel free to message me! Hope I helped.
