RMT: Another 'Nite sweep team with interesting pokes

dpmfa475.png

Gallade @ Lum Berry
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EV: 236 HP / 84 Atk / 76 SpD / 112 Spe
-Taunt
-Close Combat
-Hypnosis
-Psycho Cut

This is an excellent anti-lead poke, which accomplishes many tasks. First of all, the EVs allow me to survive a Timid LO Gengar's Shadow Ball, and OHKO in return with Psycho Cut. Lum Berry prevents this from falling asleep from the many sleep leads, Gengar and Bronzong most importantly. The speed EVs are important, allowing me to outspeed max speed Adamant Tyranitar and Bulky Gyarados. The core of this set would have to be Taunt and Hypnosis. For starters, Taunt eliminates the possibility of Bronzong, Hippowdon, or Swampert setting up Stealth Rock. Second, when combined with Hypnosis, it completely shuts down annoying Sleep Talkers like Cresselia. Finally, any set up sweeper or opposing Taunter won't like Taunt, specifically Gyarados whose speed is the reason I shot for 224. Credit goes to TVboyCanti for the set, and I altered the EV spread.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EV: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Substitute
-Magnet Rise

Magnezone traps and kills just about every steel that may cause Dragonite problems. This makes a great switchin for Outraging Garchomps as HP Ice is a OHKO. Magnezone has great synergy with Gallade as Taunt prevents Bronzong from using Hypnosis or Stealth Rock, so hopefully I can switch into a Gyro Ball.

Dragonite @ Yache Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EV: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Aqua Tail/Waterfall/Dragon Claw

Dragonite is an awesome late game sweeper. I chose an Adamant nature as Jolly doesn't outspeed anything important after a DD besides Jolteon and Aerodactly, neither of which are too common and Jolteon can't OHKO. The final slot is specifically so I don't have to be locked in to KO something like Donphan or Hippowdon. Aqua Tail 2HKOs them both most of the time, while Waterfall only 2HKOs Donphan, Hippowdon can take a minimum of 45%. Since steels will be out of the way, running Dragon Claw is an option to hit things like Gyarados, Zapdos, Salamence, and Garchomp without being locked into Outrage.

Glaceon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EV: 28 HP / 252 SpA / 228 Spe
-Wish
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power [Fighting]
-Shadow Ball

This is my revenge killer and Wishpasser. Since I would usually switch out to pass the wish anyways, the confinement of Scarf doesn't really matter. This can take any unboosted attack from Garchomp, outspeed unless it is Scarfed, and OHKO in return. This even OHKOs Yache Berry Garchomp, meaning it plays much like Machamp or Starmie, but with more power. Shadow Ball allows me to hurt ghosts and psychics, notably Froslass, Slowbro and Starmie, who resist the rest of the set. HP Fighting covers steels somewhat, and has nice type coverage alongside Shadow Ball. Definitely an expendable poke, but I haven't been in the position to be swept by Garchomp yet, so this may stay as insurance.

Nidoqueen @ Leftovers
Ability: Poison Point
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
EV: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spe
-Earthquake
-Toxic Spikes
-Aerial Ace
-Ice Beam

Many people don't quite understand what she can do. She absorbs Toxic Spikes AND sets them up. She can counter Heracross and SD Lucario in a pinch, but can use Ice Beam instead of Ice Fang like Gliscor. Very underrated and most likely not going away.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EV: 160 HP / 132 SpA / 216 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Rapid Spin
-Surf
-Recover

This works great as a MixApe and Gyarados counter, as well as a good rapid spinner. Natural Cure is a blessing, allowing me to spin away Toxic Spikes if Nidoqueen fainted, and come back without poisoning. I am not too sure about the EV spread. It is standard, but I don't need the 269 Special Attack with Thunderbolt, as it doesn't OHKO Gyarados anyways. Maybe 252 HP / 40 SpA / 216 Spe would work? It gives me more durability and still 2HKOs Gyarados, and OHKOs MixApe. Anyways, prevents Dragonite and Glaceon from being rocked by Stealth Rock.

I like your team. It is creative and at the same time competative.

1 . I suggest a Rapid spinner because you have two members on your team that are weak to Stealth Rocks. It may not be such a big deal to Dragonite, but a revenge killer like Glaceon, whom will be switching in often to revenge kill, will be punished harshly by the Rocks.

I suggest Starmie over Milotic because it can handle Mixed nape just the same as Milotic can, and it can absorb status too.

2. I see Utility Swampert reaking havok. The only offense your team has against it is Toxic Spikes and Taunt, which aren't very reliable. I am not really sure what can be modified on your team though, sorry.

Overall, this looks like a pretty good team.

Thanks, and I appreciate you suggesting something over what I said was the most expendable. I am going to change Milotic out for Starmie.

Luckily, your last suggestion of Starmie will fix up my Swampert issues, as the damage is easily Recovered and STAB Surf should wear it down. Also, Gallade can Taunt it then hit it with Hypnosis, allowing Dragonite to set up on it at a later time.
