Hey guys this is my first RMT so i am a newbie any help would be appreciated so without further adue here's the team.
Hippowdon @ Leftover
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
~ Earthquake
~ Slack Off
~ Stealth Rock
~ Ice Fang
Description:
A standard hippowdon to start off with a sandstorm, I chose ice fang because I started to notice when I faced people they usually had flying types of dragons(latias) who were immune to earthquake and I noticed that more were weak to ice fang, exception being gyarados. So the reason I chose ice fang over stone edge was because I was having problems with ground and dragon types and so I went with ice fang (although tbh I think I was thinking this too much with quite a few of my Pokémon that I ignored rock moves to take care of gyarados altogether…)
Jirachi @ Leftover
Nature: Naïve
252 HP / 220 SAtk / 36 Spe
~ Iron Head
~ Psychic
~ Grass Knot
~ Thunderbolt
Description:
A weakness in the earlier stages of my team was lack of counters for ground Pokémon and lack of actual steel moves so I decided to get a mixed sweeper in here( I lacked special attacks) and so I got jirachi with grass know which hurts opposing ground Pokémon hard, especially swampert who used to wreck my team. Thunderbolt is for opposing steels and water Pokémon. Iron head compliments Jirachi's ability to double the flinch rate to 60% and have a STAB steel move a very solid option overall. Psychic is for those pesky fighting types that threaten my late game wall Cradily who are fairly annoying to deal with.
Vaporeon @ Leftover
Nature: Bold
EVs - 187 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Wish
~ Protect
Description:
Vaporeon is a great additiong to this team recommended by "Ladies Man" and i think is great. Vapoeron is bulky and can take on threats that before would have been difficult (infernape and heatran). Wish is for healing my teammates, which frees up a slot for jirachi, and protect can be used to help vaporeon heal itself and stop a self destruct. Ice beam is my response for dragons who pose trouble for this team and then surf is a great STAB move. I choose ice beam over toxic and HP [Electric] because a dragon can quickly deal with my team and i have few ways to stop it otherwise, while the loss of HP [Electric] is only for gyarados really who can be taken down by jirachi if i am lucky and cradily as well if i am lucky(although gyarados will pose a problem to this team still), but other than this only hippowdons ice fang would be able to take on dragons, which isn't really reliable.
Spiritomb @ Leftover
Nature: Calm
208 HP / 184 SpA / 116 SpD
~ Pain Split
~ Will-o-Wisp
~ Dark Pulse
~ Hidden Power [Fire]
Description:
Spiritomb or as I nicknamed him Spiritbomb, who I do not actually use as a bomb just for nostalgia. This is my spin blocker and blocker when some wise guy fires a fighting type attack at my cradily (my friend just loves his snorlax with super power). Ok compliments to KidX for this new set. I haven't tested it out myself yet and i will then which i will update for more info.
From a first glance this new set seems to compliment my team very well, it has will-o-wisp to weaken opposing physical attacks and add that extra damage which is very good seeing how when i first send out cradily only physical attacks have a chance to harm him(until he curses). Pain Split is a move i have been completely neglecting up until now which would be more useful than rest since it ill not cut down my move pool for 2 moves and i damage the opponent when i heal(although it is circumstance). Dark pulse is for a move that has damage and can flinch. and hidden power fire is for steels and mainly scizor and other grass and bugs, i choose fire over ground since there seems to be an abundance of ground moves on this team already.
Gliscor @ Leftover
Nature: Jolly
252Hp / 36Def / 220Spe
~ Earthquake
~ Taunt
~ Stone Edge
~ Roost
Description:
Again thanks to KidX for bringing up this set again. Before i had forretress i was using a gliscor exactly the same ans this one except i had u-turn instead of stone edge. I realized with forretress that most of my guys really are not affected by spikes and stealth rock so i shouldn't waist a whole Pokemon for that and to put up toxic spike which i never get the chance o anyway. with this gliscor it stops opposing Pokemon from setting up with taunt and his speed, you will foil many peoples plans. Stone edge is to take out those opposing flying types or ones with levitate who resist earthquake. A ready good set to use and i have no idea why in the first place i switched him with forretress.
Cradily @ Leftover
Nature: Careful
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
~ Rock Slide
~ Curse
~ Sleep Talk
~ Rest
Description:
Fugly (am I allowed to say this here?), is the nickname I gave my cradily since it’s the first thing I think about every time I see him. He’s AWSOME as long as hes not going up against fighting he destroys everything. I was looking away at one point in a battle in shoddy, saw the opponents Pokémon died looked at log and found out he exploded it only did about 10% to my cradily and he wasn’t even fully cursed up. MindFreak destroyed my whole team with this guy and inspired me to make this team, he even saved me. He was my last Pokémon in an earlier stage of this team and the other guy had 6 Pokémon (yes earlier this team couldn’t hold up against anything with water, ground or dragon). This guy took a win I was shocked..
TL:DR he’s beast XD… and fugly
