RMT Diamond Battle Tower

Well I don't battle much online and doubt my capabilities with level 100 pokemon. I stick to the "AI HAX" lvl 50 bracket, the Battle Tower.

Here's my team so far.

Starmie @ Wise Glasses or Choice Specs
Lvl 50
Modest - 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Hp
Natural Cure
---------------
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Surf
Ice Beam

Pretty basic, but honestly nothing is better. I thought about a 3 starmie team, with wise glasses, choice specs, and choice scarf. We'll see. If I encounter an electric poke, we switch to Tyranitar to absorb. Pretty much sweeps everything.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band (soon to be) or Life Orb
Lvl 50
Adamant - 252 Att / 196 Spe / 60 Hp
Sand Stream
---------------
Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Ice Beam / Thunderbolt

Tyranitar comes in for the electric pokemon and sets up the sandstorm, eliminating focus sashers and helping Garchomp. Not sure if I should use Ice Beam / Thunderbolt or what?

Garchomp @ BrightPowder (soon to be) or Leftovers
Lvl 50
Jolly - 252 Att/ 252 Spe / 4 Hp
Sand Veil
---------------
Earthquake
Outrage
Fire Blast
Swords Dance

Icing on the cake, hopefully can kill everything after one swords dance or even with just outrage.

Any suggestions (especially the bold points) are welcome. I'm looking for other good battle tower teams to make that are within my capabilities (no AR, don't have many trade friends).

Thanks for your time,
toldaillmin.

This team is very similar to the famous BT team used by Jumpman16 and many others. The only differences are in the sets themselves, but I think you could learn a lot from reading Jumpman's analysis on the team:

DougJustDoug also wrote some great pieces on the art of BT'ing with Starmie, Tyranitar and Garchomp:

As you may have figured from the above links, you're going to have a lot of problems with Weavile, particularly Jolly Weavile @ Focus Sash with Night Slash/Ice Punch/Aerial Ace/Brick Break; he's capable of outspeeding and OHKOing your team. In my experience, if the BT knows you're weak to a specific Pokemon they will throw it at you repeatedly...the best way to deal with this without changing personell is to give Garchomp a Scarf as Jumpman16 did, or alternatively you could opt for a Yache Berry.
