RMT - It's OU dude...

Hi, this is my new and improved team that I plan on making and I think that it is pretty good. But there is always room for improvement and any changes/critisms is much appreciated.

Now onto the team!

Lead
dpmfa094.png

Gengar@ Life Orb

Timid Nature

6 HP/252 Special Attack/252 Speed

-Hypnosis
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast

This is my special sweeper and lead. I prefer to use Psychic over Focus Blast for accuracy. But overall pretty standard.

Gyarados@ Leftovers

dpmfa130.png

Adamant Nature

72 HP/252 Attack/186 Speed

-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang
-Dragon Dance

This is my physical sweeper. This is my own custom set that can outspeed other Gyarados' but can still take a hit. I don't see the point in Taunt.

Infernape@ Expert Belt
dpmfa392.png

Naive Nature

126 Attack/130 Special Attack/252 Speed

-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Close Combat
-Flamethrower
-Grass Knot

My mixed sweeper. This is my custom EV spread so that i have a balanced Infernape. I have Thunderpunch in for flying and water types, Grass Knot for Swampert and this will generally break walls.

Bronzong@ Leftovers
dpmfa437.png

Relaxed Nature

252 HP/130 Defence/126 Special Defence

-Hypnosis
-Stealth Rock
-Gyro Ball
-Explosion

Dont know what this is but it was a toss up between Lucario and Bronzong. Lucario would have given me a big weakness with Psychic and it would have made the team sweeper heavy. I can't decide between Earthquake and Explosion.

Tangrowth@ Leftovers

dpmfa465.png

Impish Nature

252 HP/6 Attack/252 Defence

-Power Whip
-Leech Seed
-Sleep Powder
-Knock Off

My physical wall and Garchomp/Gyarados/Swampert counter. Knock off the items, set seeds, put to sleep then switch or whip away.

Blissey@ Leftovers
dpffa242.png

Bold Nature

252 HP/252 Defence/6 Special Defence

-Softboiled
-Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam

Special wall that can fight when it needs to. Traditional BoltBeam combo with Calm Mind.

I'm pretty useless at making threat lists put I can't see a single poke that I can't somehow counter.

Thanks for reading and please Rate My Team.

Gengar- Psychic has shit type coverage and Focus Blast is really much better for Gar. If you're really all that concerned about accuracy, throw Wide Lens on it, which will also help Hypnosis's Accuracy. Or, as a nifty alternate, you can stick Explosion over Psychic and pump a few Atk EVs into it to help OHKO a Blissey switch-in.

Gyarados- Taunt is to prevent other pokes from setting up on Gyarados. The set is fine though. I'd recommend Stone Edge somewhere on the set to help with fliers.

Infernape- Fine.

Bronzong- Lucario is only weak to Fire and Ground, so either would have helped. But Bronzong's Ground immunity was probably a better choice. Explosion is probably a better fit here if you're using 'Zong to set up SR.

Tangrowth- Good.

Blissey- Also fine.

Psychic on Gengar will give you minimal coverage. Using Focus Blast is recommended.

I can't see how you don't see the point of Taunt. Things will not be able to set up on you or phaze you. There's also no point in outspeeding other Gyarados since you can't do anything to it and you can't stop it from setting up.

Fix Infernape's EV spread, and if you don't want to use Nasty plot, at least use HP Ice. Close Combat hits most waters harder than Thunderpunch, and you won't KO Gyarados if you are Intimidated, whereas he can set up and/or KO back.

Your team has no phazer. I suggest changing either Tangrowth or Bronzong for one. You also have a huge Tauntrados weakness.

Cheers for the replies. I understand about Taunt now but i don't want to change the moveset that much. Ill change the other stuff now. What do you people reckon i can do to counter my Tauntdos weakeness?

Everything is pretty much said but lemme just touch on everything

Focus Blast on Gengar over Psychic. Gyarados wants bulkiness and the bulk set. Taunt is a neccesity. Nape wants HP Ice for Dragons and you have trouble with them anyway. Fix his set. Lucario and Zapdos (Very common duo) gives this team a lot of trouble. God help you if that Lucario is the SubSDSalac Luke (The one I use). It can pretty much swwep this team especially if it gets a sub passed to it by dos and then sets up. So I say add something faster.

Deoxys E kills everyone of your sweepers. Add in a metagross (Who also can explode on a Lucario/Zapdos Sub and come in.) I would put it over Bronzong and make blissey more defensive and with SR. This ain't ubers so CMBlissey doesn't work as well.

Just a few of my thoughts.

Edit: Don't worry though about the tauntrados weakness. Gengar takes care of leads and Tangrowth is the ultimate counter to Gyarados. How can a team with tangrowth on it be weak to gyarados? Elaborate B1001

If I were you, I'd use the standard set for Tangrowth, giving it a little bit more speed, and all. Tangrowth a favorite of mine, so kudos.

Bronzong seems.. un-important, Metagross would fit your team well, instead.

Seems balanced though. Just make sure you can counter and handle the top 10-15 biggest threats.

Right guys, just been thinking. Ive changed Infernape to Hidden Power [Ice] and what do you guys think to Mamoswine instead of Bronzong to counter my Dragon weakness.

Mamoswine@ Life Orb
dpmfa473.png

Adamant Nature

64 HP/252 Attack/192 Speed

-Stone Edge
-Ice Shard
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang

What do you guys think? Or should I go with Metagross?

Umm, Mamoswine doesn't counter dragons. It is OHKOed by 3/4 of SpecsMence moves, and Dragon Pulse easily 2HKOs.

Garchomp with Yache Berry is fairly common and it will easily OHKO you after a Swords Dance, or on the switch in with Outrage. Next, CB Chomp destroys it too. The only thing you can "counter" is an Outraging Garchomp after its Yache has been wasted and you let it kill something.

Okay, I don't think you completely understand Taunt. It is possibly the most useful move Gyarados has other than Dragon Dance, in fact, IT IS.

Taunt not only stops things from setting up on you, but it prevents Phazers like Skarmory from just Whirlwinding you away, it also prevents things from inflicting a terrible status on you while you "sweep." I say have fun sweeping without it, as LO recoil, possible sandstorm damage AND Stealth Rock damage will take its toll really fast, especially when you don't have a spinner.

This team needs another bulky sweeper or atleast a good Pursuiter, well Tyranitar and Metagross fit the bill. I suggest Metagross tho since it is bulky, still can Pursuit, but doesn't cause sand which screws over Infernape/Gengar.

Metagross>Infernape/Gengar. Probably Gengar since you don't want to be walled often in this metagame with Blissey gone wild.

I dont like using Metagross as im unbelievably weak to dragons. So i think Swampert could be good for me.

Swampert@ Leftovers

Relaxed

240 HP/216 Defence/52 Special Attack

-Stealth Rock
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake

This is my replacement for Bronzong, it has Stealth Rock and can handle Garchomp, Salamance and Dragonite.
