ORAS OU RMT - My Ampharos Team

[ORAS OU-TEAM] - You're Worth it !
Hello every one ! Here's the first team i made on ORAS with some adjustement.

Mega - Ampharos

ampharos-mega.gif

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Static
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse

I chose to build this team around Mega-Ampharos, it's my special sweeper, 44 EV speed allow to outspeed 50 base speed like Swampert. - I use fully offensive set because of it's good basical resistance. Volt switch with U-Turn Talonflame and hentry hazards and other move for STABB and coverage.

Hippodown

hippowdon.gif

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge

Hippodown is generaly the Lead, i need a ground type for rock resistance with talonflame. Setting entry hazards and sand stream, absord hit form pokemon like Excadrill, Lopunny, and other hard hitters. He also helps against Charizard X, which is a massive threat at my team. Leftovers + Slack Off give very nice recovery.

Starmie

starmie.gif

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Psyshock

I chose starmie because i need a spinner and water type in my team. Insert in a nice defensive grass/fire/water core. Absorb Toxic, burn... with natural Cure. Most oh pokemon's eam are slow so i maximise his speed, Recover for life orb damage, can also burn with scald and hit in physical with psyshock.

Ferrothorn

ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball

The second pokemon of my defensive core, Starmie and Talonflame both have Fighting and fire resistance. Can force switch with Leftovers, spikes for more hazards. This set work well against both physical and special hit. I chose power whip for coverage. Rocky helmet work well with iron barbs (and i have only one leftovers).

Talonflame

talonflame.gif

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- U-Turn
- Will-O-Wisp

I chose talonflame in my defensive core. With a specially defensive set he work well with Starmie and Ferrothorn because of his type. I chose U-Turn on Bulk up because i have many hazards and a nice Volt/Turn with Ampharos. Acrobatics-No item on rapace because of recoil damage. Will-O-Wisp for physical pokemon and over time damage.

Sylveon

sylveon.gif

Sylveon @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 136 Def / 122 SpA
Bold Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Ground]

I chose Sylveon for Fairy type and as a late game sweeper, my team can take out principal Sylveon threat. I chose a Wish/Calm mind set, Wish generaly use for Sylveon himself, i use Defensive EVs with calm mind. Hyper Voice/ HP Ground hit almost every pokemon. Sitrus berry on leftovers because of his late game role.

Thanks for reeding, have a nice day. :)

Hey man! Creative team you have there. The innovation to the team you are building is great! However there are a few holes in the team, and I have some suggestions to patch things up a bit

The idea of the team seems clear to me at a glance: Volt Turn between Ampharos and Talonflame. You stated that would wanted a good physical wall, but it also lacks recovery. For this reason, I would suggest Hippowdon>Dolphan. This is because, Hippowdon provides you with a physical wall that is able to recover and eat up hits, making it more reasonable against threats like Excadrill, Lopunny, and other hard hitters that are a threat. Hippo also helps against Charizard X, which is a massive threat at team preview.

Now I understand that was the spinner of the team, and now you need a means of hazard removal. For this reason i suggest Defensive Starmie with Rapid Spin, over choice scarf. This is so you still have a valid means of hazard removal to support Talonflame, This also makes a great defensive Fire/Water/Grass core. The moveset by the way would be Recover, Scald, Rapid Spin, Psyshock.

On Talonflame, I would use SpD Wilo Wisp over Choice band. This makes it so that you can check grasses easier,, and support the defensive core the team has. Also, Wilo can break down physical attackers on the switch that could be an issue later, or just spread burns in general. Also a reminder to set ALL special attackers attack Iv's to 0, to prevent more damage from foul play.

So in conclusion:

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Stone Edge

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Psyshock

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Bulk Up
- Will-O-Wisp

Hippowdon>Dolphan

Gl, I hope this rate helped!

Wow that's look very good. Thanks for that help. But i only have one leftovers.

What items can i give to them?

I take Power Whip on ferrothorn. (or spikes?)

I lost my volt/turn with this talonflame set.

If you want to still use U turn on Talonflame, you could always go U turn>Bulk up. And if you want leftovers on Talonflame you can switch Brave Bird over acrobatics. Ferrothorn is generally fine, and the iteslms for the rest of the sets are in the hide tag. (leftovers on Hippowdon, Leftovers on Starmie.)

Well if you run leftovers on Talonflame, then acrobatics drops n Power. Thats why it doesn't have an item.

Hello Blysful , and welcome to Smogon!

Unfortunately, this RMT is currently not following the rules which can be found in the RMT Resource Thread; specifically, this thread violates rule #4, because you lack sufficient descriptions for each Pokemon on your team. As such, I am afraid that I will have to lock this thread for the time being. If you would like this thread to be reopened, feel free to PM me with your updated RMT, and I would be happy to reopen this thread for you. If you need help making an RMT up to the required standards, I recommend that you carefully read the RMT Resource Thread and check out other RMTs from the Team Showcase and RMT Archive for some examples.

Good luck with your team, and have a nice day!

EDIT: Reopened

Ehy man Nice Team!
My suggest is to use Leftovers>Life Orb because in my opinion the only reason for use Life Orb on Starmie is with Analytic Nature, asthe this is the reason why Life Orb Starmie is strong. With Nature Cure, instead, is preferable to use Leftovers, because his role is not to Suicide Spinner but it must be sustainable, a fortiori in your team, that have Talonflame that is really weak to Stealth Rock and therefore would benefit from ongoing support.
Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Psyshock
You don't have a really Stallbreaker in this team, and u-turn on Talonflame is not very useful, my advice is to try Taunt>U-Turn because help you against Stall Team, that are annoyng for this build.
Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
Other sugggest is to try Clefable>Sylveon Clefable gives you a good Wincon with Calm Mind, but unlike of Sylveon, Clefable have a reliable recovery and is very bulky. Flamethower>Thunder Wave because help you against Ferrothorn, that is annoyng for this Team.
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethower
Summary of the changes:
