ADVANCE NOTE: I know that the descriptions from Salamence, Gliscor and Weavile will be lacking and likely violate Rule 3. My primary purpose for creating this thread is to find suitable Pokes for the last three slots of this team.
Background:
I was feeling bored and messing around with Pokemon Online, and I messaged my friend 'GIVE ME A POKEMON TO BASE A TEAM AROUND' and he said 'POLITOED'. So I checked out some Politoed sets, and saw one for Perish Song. I quickly devised a team of Pokemon that could benefit from a free turn. A little bit of testing later, and I found Celebi did the Perish Song job much better. And here we are.
Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
Your standard Aerodactyl Lead, I chose this for several reasons. One, Salamence, who was one of the three Pokemon in the latter half of the team I felt could benefit greatly from a free turn to set up, is weak to Stealth Rock. By preventing a Stealth Rock with Taunt... well... that's awesome. Two, Stealth Rock damage negates Focus Sashes, a needed for an offensive team like this. Three, with the switches caused by Perish Song, Stealth Rock will accumulate hefty damage.
Celebi @ Lagging Tail
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Perish Song
- Thunder Wave
- Protect
- U-turn
Once Aerodactyl goes down, I switch into Celebi in nearly all cases. Celebi has maximized defenses to be as bulky as possible. Generally, I will open with Thunder Wave. I chose Thunder Wave over Toxic because toxic does less damage when the opponent is constantly switching, and Steels are more of a threat than Grounds to this team.
Next, I use Perish Song. Perish Song is the core of this team. It is what this team is based on. The paralyzed opponent is often switched out, so ultimately, depending on the situation, I will go with Thunder Wave or Protect. Opponents almost never switch out on the first turn of Perish Song.
Next, I will go with U-Turn. Lagging tail ensures my U-turn goes last, allowing me to see if my opponent stayed in. If they stay in, Celebi takes the hit, and the opponent is on their last turn of Perish Song, allowing a free switch to Linoone. If they switch out, I can switch to an appropriate counterpoke.
Linoone (M) @ Salac Berry
Trait: Gluttony
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spd / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Belly Drum
- ExtremeSpeed
- Seed Bomb
- Shadow Claw
My pride and joy. If my opponent doesn't switch out on the second turn of Perish Song, then Celebi will U-turn to Linoone. The opponent is then forced to either switch or attack and lose their pokemon. In the former case, Linoone can Belly Drum, using his ability Gluttony to eat his Salac Berry. With +6 Attack Boosts and +1 Speed Boosts, Linoone can crush nearly any Pokemon, with some Steels being the exception. It's not uncommon for me to sweep entire teams with Linoone.
Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk / 252 Spd / 24 SAtk
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
Standard DDmence ripped right from Smogon for the sole reasons of being powerful when given a free turn (DD -> Outrage sweep anyone?) and access to Fire Blast for the Steels Linoone has problems with.
Gliscor (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
Another powerful poke when given a free turn, with pretty awesome coverage and strong attacks.
Weavile (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Night Slash
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick
Ice Shard wrecks the likes of opposing Salamence and Gliscor, Night Slash deals with Psychics, and Low Kick trips TTar.

Alright, the reason we're here. I'm not terribly convinced Mence, Gliscor and Weavile are the best Pokemon for my last three slots. Expecially since Mence and Gliscor share a crippling Ice weakness.
I need suggestions. What would work with what I have?
