ORAS OU RMT Rock Hard Hyper Offense (literally)

Come One And Come All, for this is my third edition of ... RATE MY TEAM. Ladies and Gents, this one is the rare and elusive HYPER OFFENSE, for it has been chased out by the now Dominate Bulky Offense. Sit Back, Relax and Enjoy my horrible teambuilding

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 8 Atk / 248 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Protect
- Earth Power

While some may say that M-Diancie is a "Bad" Choice for a Hyper Offense, I see opportunity. Her Special and Physical Attack Stats are Great, and with some much needed bulk. Her Ability, Magic Bounce makes her a very good status absorber and makes it hard to shut her down for stall. Protect is for Safe Mega Evolving, Scout for Choice Users and Playing with M-Lopunny. Moonblast is Her Main STAB, Making Holes in anything that doesn't resist. Diamond Storm is for taking out Talonflames, and Special Walls like Chansey and CM Clefable. Earth Power is coverage, hitting Megagross, Jirachi, and opposing Diancie for a fair amount of damage.

Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
Despite how cute this thing is, it is my main Sweeper. Armed with the best Special set up move in the game, Tail Glow, this adorable water child can sweep through teams no problem. It runs Leftovers for recovery, so it can keep on living after an attack or two. Tail Glow is the most important move here, boosting the Special stat by +3 in one turn. Scald is it's Main STAB, and nothing likes taking a hit from it at +3. Ice Beam is coverage, to hit Grass and Dragon Types, like Garchomp, Amoonguss, and Latios.
Psychic is for Poison and Fighting Types, like Toxicroak, M-Venusaur and Amoonguss.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon

Magnezone, a returning member of my team, is fairly important. He traps Steel types that my team has trouble breaking through, like Megagross and Scizor. He runs Choice Scarf over Specs to aid his bad Speed stat in catching faster Steel types. HP Fire is essential for Magnezone, for it is his main move for killing Steel Types. Volt Switch is so he can act as a Pivot of sorts, gaining momentum for the team. Thunderbolt is his main STAB for when he is not fighting Steel Types. Flash Cannon is second STAB, and makes him my Main Fairy Check.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Defog

Latios is a multi trick pony, acting as my late game cleaner and my defogger. Draco Meteor is his Main STAB, hitting hard thanks to his Life Orb. Psyshock is to fight pokemon like Chansey, who have low physical defense. Roost is to heal back Life Orb Recoil and Extend his time in play. Defog is to Remove hazards from the field but is the move i find i use the least on him.

Froslass @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
- Spikes

Instead of using the common Suicide Nuke called Azelf, i decided to use this thing. Froslass is probably my favorite team member and for good reason. It's typing is great, meaning it can spinblock by itself. Cursed Body is fun, for it can stop offense pokemon in their track and can struggle taunt-locked pokemon. Ice Beam is her main STAB, preventing taunt-locking and can deal a good bit of damage to anything that doesn't resist. Taunt is to stop opposing leads from setting up. Destiny Bond is the real perc of this lead, for it can take Froslass' attacker with it, evening the odds and it just a lot of fun to use. Spikes is so Froslass can do its job of setting up hazards.

Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Taunt

As my sixth member, the Overused Serperior is my second wallbreaker, along side Diancie. She runs Leftovers for reliable recovery so she can keep wall breaking. Leaf Storm is her bread and butter, dealing a large amount of damage and boosting her Special Stat. Dragon Pulse is coverage, hitting most things for neutral damage. HP Fire is to hit steel types and opposing Grass Types, like Ferrothorn. Taunt is to stop Walls like M-Venusaur and Chansey from healing, to help Serperior fight them.

Now, to all of you Team Raters and Builders, i give you a challenge (this challenge is completely separate from this team). For the longest time, only three of the four weather types have been used on a competitive front. i would like that to change, so i challenge you all to build a OU viable Hail team. You must use at least 2 ice types and no more than 5. You don't have to use M-Abomasnow, but it is highly recommended. Lastly, it does not have to be just Hail as a weather type (ie. Sun Sand) but should be focused toward Hail. There is no reward for completion, except the community's respect and amazement. I will be creating a team myself, to make sure this challenge holds water. Good luck to all, and have fun (but not too much fun :toast:)

You mean like these: Nirvana's Hail (peaked no. 1) and Hail is Grey (peaked no. 65)?

While hail isn't common this gen, several people have made successful teams off it (and with the former topping the ladder, you can't get much more successful than that). I know the latter only has one ice pokemon, but I thought it was interesting seeing as it's semistall and uses regular Abomasnow rather than the mega.

I don't have anything worthwhile to mention for the rate, I do think Froslass is quite a nice touch though given that it readily handles TankChomp and Bulky Lando-T leads - two extremely common leads in OU. While Froslass isn't faster than Azelf, Mega Diancie does a good job against Azelf in the first place to you shouldn't have too much difficulty on that front. Nice job.

Honestly i had no idea those teams exist, but i am a strong believer that hail can be a viable weather type and that it should be used more often. Also thanks for the Froslass complement, i think it should be higher in the tier personally

this team gets 6'oed by weavile and u cant rly do much. he still outspeeds scarfed magneton. he's just basically faster than anything u have, and has super effective hits vs 5 of ur mons. i would sugest adding at least a check to this team. otherwise, whenever weavile comes in, u ded

um. no. scarf magneton is faster. it's like one of the few reason you'll run magneton over zone. manaphy can check it and diance can also check it, tho yea, still pree weavile weak.

but yea ton > zone could be nice,

u could also try keldeo > mana/serp
