Allright, so, if you're still having doubts about who the star of this team is... No I'm not gonna offend people in my first post =p

1) Team at a glance:

2) Building "Vaporeonized":
Spr_4p_134.png

I faced a few Vaporeons, and they were so hard to take down (if I even succeeded to do so). So I decided to build a team around it.

Spr_4p_134.png
Spr_4p_485.png

Ok, so Vaporeon has like 2 weaknesses, grass and electric, and Heatran resists grass.

And then electric weakness is covered by Swampert. I know Swampert makes a decent lead so I was like, yea lets use him as a lead.

Now I kinda looked to the physical/special sweeper/tank/wall aspect of the game. I figured out I have 2 great special attackers, and one decent mixed attacker. So, I needed a physical attacker. This is were Ttar comes in. And he actually fits in any team.

Looking back at weakness and resistance I have some weak spots. Fighting, Ground and Grass. I know Gengar isn't a wall or a tank, but the first two types won't even hit him. And I also needed a fast sweeper.

What's a team without a Dragon? Gives me a better Grass, Fighting, Ground and Water coverage.

3) In depth view:
Spr_b_g4_260.png

Ability: Torrent
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Moveset:
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Protect

I chose Swampert 'cause he does great. He can protect himself from Fake Out users, he can kill Taunt/Suicide leads, an he can do more then just set up the Rocks. I prefer Ice Beam to Waterfall or Surf, just to have an extra Dragon Counter.

Spr_b_g4_134.png

Ability: Water Absorb
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Bold
EV's: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
Moveset:
-Wish
-Protect
-Surf
-Ice Beam

Vaporeon as the "star" of this team. Also quite bulky. As a bonus he has like massive special attack. Surf is a STAB move, and has a great type coverage. Ice Beam is to take out grass and dragons. And Wish and Protect for healing and scouting.

Spr_b_g4_485.png

Ability: Flash Fire
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Moveset:
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Subsitute
-Toxic

Heatran to take the grass attacks that will be trown at Vaporeon and especially Swampert. Fire Blast as a STAB move and Earth Power to take on other Heatrans and all other Pokémon who resist fire. Toxic to stall out walls like Blissey. Subsitute to do something usefull on the most likely switch when you switch in Heatran.

Spr_b_g4_248.png

Ability: Sand Stream
Item: Expert Belt
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moveset:
-Dragon Dance
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge
-Superpower

Tyranitar as a physical sweeper. I didn't quite have one yet and since Ttar is a beast who can fit into any team, he seems a good choise. Because Ttar may force the opponent to switch I give him two great options to use. Pursuit and Dragon Dance. Pursuit and Stone Edge are both STABed.

Spr_b_g4_094.png

Ability: Levitate
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Moveset:
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power Fire

All of my Pokémon are kinda slow, so I need a fast sweeper. And both Ttar and Heatran are weak to fighting. Vaporeon, Swampert and Ttar are weak to Grass, and Heatran and Ttar are weak to ground. This is were Gengar fits in. Resisting all 3 types and being fast. With this movepool he can hit almost anything for super effective damage.

Spr_b_g4_373.png

Ability: Intimidate
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 236 HP / 64 Atk / 116 SpD / 92 Spe
Moveset:
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Roost

As my last Pokémon I still wanted some better coverage on the types I mentioned with Gengar, as I also wanted one more Pokémon to resist Water. With Vaporeon being the only Special Wall I have in this team i wanted my Mence to be specially bulky. So this limits Mence his attacking possibilities. Therefore, Physical seems the most logical to go for. Concidering the high attack he has. Dragon Dance fits in perfectly. Dragon Claw as stab move and EQ for Steels. Roost in case i need to heal (fcource, why else?)

Ok, I'm gonna excuse myself for spelling errors already, I'm Belgian...
Let me know what you think!

Okay, I'm going to start by saying.. Is Tyranitar really needed in this team? His sand storm really hurts Salamence, Vaporeon, and especially Gengar.

You're pretty Salamence weak. If you think about it, it outspeeds everything you have after a Dragon dance, and can pretty much wreak you late game. This is why I'll recommend a Scizor of Tyranitar. When rocks are up, salamence loses 25% of health. A CB bullet punch should do around 50-70%. If you like death fodder a pokemon, then you can kill the salamence with bullet punch.

Scizor @ Choice band
Adamant | 248 hp / 252 atk / 8 spe
Bullet punch / U-turn / super power / pursuit

I'll like you to also change your current salamence set to this.

Salamence @ Life orb
Adamant | 176 hp / 80 atk / 252 spe
DD / dragon claw / Earthquake / roost

I don't see the point of your sp.def evs. Salamence is a sweeper, and should be treated like one. This set allows you to outspeed non scarfed Jirachi, Celebi, Infernape, and a lot more after a dragon dance; without sacrificing the power.

-iShedinja

1) Pursuit is illegal with Dragon Dance on Tyranitar. Change Pursuit to Crunch if you keep Tyranitar.

2) You're rather weak to a bulky DDGyarados, and Scizor will only make that worse. However, with Scizor, you check Salamence a bit better, so Ice Beam on Vaporeon can be dropped for Hidden Power Electric. That way, Gyarados can't beat your team as long as Vaporeon is in good health.

3) I suggest changing Salamence to the standard DDMence: Naive 232 Atk / 252 Spd / 24 SpA with Fire Blast > Roost. This is especially good if you swap Ttar for CBScizor, because you lose your set up physical sweeper.

Hey, as somebody stated above the team's isn't beating DD Gyarados, and having Vaporeon around the best thing you can do is replace Ice Beam for HP Electric which does really helps against the water dragon.

I would also like to ask you about that Tyranitar's set, because it seems like you're getting nowhere with those moves, item. I want you to try two things here, the first one is a Choice Scarf set of Tyranitar itself, which would help to trap Starmie, Gengar, Latias, and counter SD Lucario. In case you notice T-tar's SS isn't being useful for the team, try CB Scizor out with a bulky spread to take hits from Latias (mainly) better:

Adamant | 160 HP / 176 Atk / 4 Spe / 168 SpD
U-turn | Bullet Punch | Superpower | Pursuit

Salamence: Considering that a strong physical sweeper would be great for the team, I see more valuable the following set:

Jolly | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Dragon Dance | Earthquake | Outrage | Roost

The key success of this set is to never Outrage early in the game when you have only seen three or four members of the opponent's team. This Salamence is a late game sweeper, which means that its team mates have to arrange the things for him, I mean they have to take out its common checks as Scizor (Heatran does well at it), Scarf Latias (either Tyranitar or Scizor can take care of her), etc.

And one more thing, I strongly recommend you to change Thunderbolt for Protect on Gengar, because you don't wanna get trapped by Scizor/Tyranitar so easily, and Protect give you the opportunity to check what they will with zero risk.

Feel free to ignore or try out the changes that I have proposed. Good luck.

I agree with most of the above rates, scizor over t-tar, great suggestion. DD-mence with roost, and outrage? outrage ruins the entire point of roosting up and dd-ing just to be revenge killed, and why roost when you have wish support? I would suggest the standard, DD/outrage/fire blast/ EQ set and then after an initial sweep vaporeon can heal you up to try again.

But really I feel that Mence isn't that great for this team, I think that:
- SD lucario - over mence
- Lead gliscor- over swampert
- Latias - over gengar

They all fill simular roles, bassicaly SD lucario is more apropriate for this team, with siczor to scout his counter, and heatran/vaporeon to take them out. Lucario is also capable off attempting an early game sweep, and then after wish support, his counters won't be able to handle him twice, as lucario is not locked into his stab attack.

Then gliscor as he provides a nice gorund resist and makes a good fast lead, with taunt and u-turn, two great moves taunt shuts down bulky leads and u-turn breaks the sash on offensive leads.

Now you need a water resist and a dragon is a great choice, so I suggest latias, it doesn't need to be scarfed as salamence and gyrados are handled by vaporeon and scizor and lucario provides back up priority if magnezone takes out scizor. So you can use a calm mind latias, either offensive or defensive, or use a specs set, with dracco metero for some amazing power mid game, with specs dragon pulse for sweeping late game, could be great for thisteam. Then a choice of t-bolt, surf and trick, trick is useful for suicune, but you alreayd have vaporeon, so its not as nessecery and lucario/scizor can double team a curselax. Specs Latias is also excellent pursuit bait, drawing in scizor and tyranitar so you can switch to lucario for a free sword dance.

With gengar gone I would put a scarf on your heatran to give you a good counter to SD lucario and with flash fire boost drawn by scizor and lucario, scarf heatran can make a great lategame sweeper and also apreciates latias wish support.

Bassically:
- Scizor over t-tar
- SD lucario
- Lead gliscor
- Specs Latias
- Scarf heatran

They may seem like big changes, but they are just small tweeks.

Thanks for all the responds. The funny thing is that when I'm playing this team I actually faced a late game sweeping mence (I needed a miss on Draco Meteor to win) and a DDGyarados who has completely swept me...
