rmt.

I can see a few pokes running through this team quite easily. Namely DDGyara and SubCMRaikou. Raikou has numerous pokemon to be sent in on especially Gyarados. Once it gets a sub up it's basically game over. Blissey can't do crap with flamethrower once it gets a sub up and the sandstorm is going to quickly kill you anyways. With SR up after switching in and using dragon dance Gyarados has lost 37% already. Yanmega will be beaten down quickly with SR+Sub+Sand.

With this being said Hippowdon seems to be causing more damage than the opponent. I would replace Hippowdon with a Mixpert who can remedy that fire weak without taking too much damage unlike Gyarados and Infernape who will be worn down by Fire attacks very quickly. This can also help you against ScarfHeatran who ATM nothing can repeatedly switch in besides blissey who lacks softboiled and will be forced to switch out when your opponent switches in their blissey counter.

Now for Gyarados and Infernape(who also rips through this team) I would add a starmie. Not only does it add some much needed speed to this team but it also rapid spins and counters both of the aforementioned threats. Spinning is very vital to this team since Gyarados and Yanmega can actually benefit from the extra life that the spinning gives them.

I think you could try a BulkyMence to do basically the same job as Gyara and it could somewhat provide you a Skymin counter to an extent. Use this set.

Salamence @ Leftovers/Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EV's: 172 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD / 80 Spe (SDef oriented better at handling Skymin) or 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 Spe (Def oriented better at handling Hera and Luke)
Jolly Nature(+Spe, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw/Outrage
- Roost
- Earthquake

but if you don't wanna add this guy you could try making Gyarados bulky and giving Blissey Ice Beam.

Speaking of Blissey you could try a CM Bliss to take on Skymin and CM threats waaay better since ATM 404 sub CMers are your worst enemies. It will also give you some special offense which your team kinda lacks =/.

Well at least test out some of these suggestions. Hope I helped ^_~.

wait so you're saying that on a team with sand and blissey raikou is gonna sweep? the fact of the matter is that sand + lack of recovery + flamethower is gonna kill you faster than you can kill it, seeing as it has recovery. meh, w/e. then you've got the fact that +1 hp ice doesnt ko hippo anyways...

anyways, this guy did make some good suggestions, and you really should take off hippowdon, and probably blissey too if you intend to stand up to the threats of platinum. somewhere here you need to be able to revenge kill, so scarfduggy > blissey possibly, which helps you to deal with heatran as well as double dd'd gyaradoses and other shit. over hippowdon, I really suggest dual screen deoxys-s, seeing as half your team sets up and you really like those free turns. now, I'd really just get rid of gyarados all together and slap on something like cb azumarill, so that you can have that really insanely strong priority flying around, which also helps you to deal with things like ape and scizor should they give you problems. the reason I'm saying azumarill rather than starmie is that yanmega actually really doesnt care too much about sr, and with deoxys keeping it off the field anyways.... the way I see it, the best way to play this team is to go with sd ape in the beginning to scout their bulky physical pokemon and try and suicide yourself to kill them so they can be weak enough for scizor to run through. for this reason, I suggest mach punch > close combat, allowing you to catch scarftrans off guard who think they are going to revenge kill you. when everything is said and done, really I think you have bigger problems with dragons than with heatran, seeing as you now have a lure and a dugtrio on the team, so hp ice > hp ground on yanmega, helping you to lure them in and kill them, which only makes infernape and scizor's lives easier. now, since I'm "competing" to kinda "market" my advice against raquan's or whatever, I'll compare your team with my suggestions against it with his, though both are pretty solid ways to go. now, when you use what he said, you gain valuable things like a spinner, and you keep blissey. now, if you go my way, you forego blissey and the spinner for a more all-out-offense approach to the game. if you go my way, you have plenty of chances to set up with your main guys, who also now help each other out rather than do the whole thing themselves. you also have a potent-yet-bulky water type in azumarill, whose aqua jets firing off help you out in the lategame and can even give him some sweeps should the situation (aka the opposing team is weak to him) call for a aqua jet sweep. you also gain a supportive pokemon in scarfed dugtrio, and should anything get out of hand, you can trust him to revenge kill most things that trouble you. now, you have had very good advice presented to you on both sides of the spectrum, all out offense and a more stallish approach. imo my way is better if not only because I give you a unifying goal to reach but also that stall is kinda a dying art and can't work anymore (at least not for me, and by the looks of it, most of the people on shoddy). I'd test both :P

Meh I've never been a fan of ScarfDugtrio though it isn't my team.

Blissey can't really touch Raikou once it has a sub up all Blissey can do is use flamethrower which will be gone rather quickly thanks to pressure. At least give blissey seismic toss.

I think choice specs woulds be more useful ,as you said you only get a few turns with petaya in sandstorm, on yanmega also if you change the abilty to tinted lens it can hit things even harder because their resistance is removed. this also means taking off substitute for either another special attack, hypnosis, or u-turn.

I ask that this thread now be deleted/closed. My team is complete, and I don't want anyone looking at it. As dumb as it may sound, that's how I want it.

Thanks.

every time I see someone go with a stalllish I feel all warm and fuzzy inside lol, because its a "dying art"

good job with the team and good luck.
