Sweeper Team [RMT]

* i started this RMT at marriland , but due to the lack of help i decided to move it here.
Sweeper Team
To Start Off i would like to mention this is an old team of mine. I used it in two dours results tourney and thays why it has as many battles on it as it does >>. Im using it less and less lately so i figured id put it up as a RMT for people to see and rate. if significant improvements are made ill be reusing it haha.

In Depth
Updates Made:
-Bronzong will now be used as the lead of this team.
-Machamp will still have a place in the team just as a late game sweeper.
-Scizor has subbed U-turn in for x-scissor , and superpower in for brick break.
-Gyarados is now a Restalker.

@Leftovers
Adamant/No Guard
128 hp/252 atk/128 spe
Moves
-Dynamic Punch
-Stone Edge
-Substitute
-Bulk Up
Originally Bronzong Was the lead of this team. Considering he is the star that allows me to do the sweeping. I ran into an immediate problem though. Taunt leads screw up the rhythm of this team so i needed a more powerful lead that could at least ko the taunter. This Champ set i made worked perfectly. Aerodactyl , azelf , crobat and any other common taunt leads are blown apart. Not to mention this thing is a beast after bronzong gets his job done.

252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD
Moves
-light screen
-reflect
-stealth rocks
-explosion
The Star of the team. Hes my key pokemon. I set rocks up , sometimes throwing off the opponent. By the way i opt for rocks because it provides me with assistance when my pokemon need to get the quick ko.
Anyways after rocks are up i can get screens up. Explosion is used for counter pokes

The point of this team is to provide a my sweepers with bulkiness so they can set up a sweep. its worked very well for me and i wanted to see your thoughts. thanks

Hi, welcome to Smogon.

First off, when presenting your team, you need to show the team as of now. You can't show a previous version of the team and tells us what it is now.

Anyway, onto the rate.

I have my doubts about Bronzong's set. Running Reflect, Light Screen and Stealth Rock all on the one set is asking too much of it. What if your opponent has an Azelf and it Taunts you? You'll be forced to explode. What I'm suggesting is that you split Bronzong's duties. You can ditch Dual Screens for Gyro Ball and Earthquake, or ditch Stealth Rock and make Azelf or Heatran a lead.

When your Machamp is running Substitute and Bulk Up on the same set, type coverage is key. Fighting-Rock doesn't give that great coverage. You're better off running Payback over Stone Edge. Dark-Fighting is only resisted by Heracross and Toxicroak who are both rare in OU.

I know your Gyarados is a Rest-Talker, but that doesn't tell me much. I'm guessing your moveset is Waterfall / Rest / Sleep Talk / ?. What's that last move? Stone Edge? Avalanche? Dragon Dance? What? Either way, I don't see a single switch-in to the Electric attacks coming Gyara's way. I suggest switching Azelf with Choice Specs Jolteon. It'll take Electric attacks like a champ and can fill Azelf's shoes well.

Why are you running U-turn and Superpower on a SD Scizor? Both moves will make Swords Dance a waste. Go back to X-Scissor and Brick Break. You don't need max speed either. 224 Speed is enough, to outspeed Adamant max speed Tyranitar. Oh, and switch Leftovers with Life Orb.

I already said to switch Azelf with Jolteon. But if you're willing to keep Azelf, I've got a few changes. Grass Knot is superior to Energy Ball in OU, switch it. Thunderbolt gives rather redundant coverage. Trick would be better in its place, to cripple Blissey. Make it Timid too.

And the only complaint I have for Heatran is that you should give it a Timid nature too.

Good luck with your team.

Why dont you just edit your post to reflect the changes with your sprites... It looks much nicer that way and people may not notice your changes otherwise.

Modest Choice Scarf Starmie outclasses your Azelf in most ways, being weak to the same things (Pursuit, Ghost types), but having Rapid Spin is better. The set I suggest is:

Starmie @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 24 HP/252 Spd/232 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam

This is the set I use on my main OU team, and it works great. You don't need Timid to outrun Base 100 +Speed Scarf users (as you may know) with a final speed stat of 493, one point greater. Your Azelf can't revenge any DDancer except Gyarados, and Starmie can do both.

Your team suffers from entry hazards and status as well, which Starmie can do. He can blow the hazards away, scout the status, switch out to remove it to an appropriate counter, etc. Your team may need Taunt (Gyarados) or a phazer (Swampert, Zapdos, Suicune, Skarmory etc.)
*sips coffee* Go make your improvements (AGAIN), and we'll see how it turns out :naughty:

first off sorry for my laziness of not updating ._.

I might go with starmie its just it leaves me open to weakness from electric attacks obviously.
