Hi, so there was a change recently that stopped allowing certain types of buttons in staff intros and room intros unless done by a global staff member. The only ones that are currently allowed are ones that PM bots or ones that link to other rooms. I'd like to request a couple other types of buttons be added to this list.

1) Buttons that check the modlogs of certain users - We have buttons in our staff intro that show a user's modlog for to help keep track of troublesome users in the room.
2) Buttons that show all the current punishments in the room - Good for quickly being able to see all the active punishments and when they expire.
3) A Button that allows the /rules command
4) Buttons that can start tournaments

I'm sure there are loads of others that I'm forgetting but this change is honestly very annoying and I don't really see why it was added in the first place. Unless there's something I'm missing it seems like it's just a massive inconvenience for non-globals and ideally I'd just prefer it was reverted to how it was before but if that's not going happen then adding these ones to the list of buttons allowed would be appreciated. :)

I'm not aware of any intentional change regarding this. When was this changed? It might have been accidental.

We don't allow regular users to add scripted buttons to private rooms or groupchats because they're often used to trick people into doing things (usually spamming or PM harassing, but sometimes much worse).

I don't know exactly what level of room staff we trust not to do that sort of thing, but if it's changed recently (intentionally or unintentionally), we can certainly contemplate trusting more people.

I'm not sure when it was changed but this is the message I got when trying to change the staff intro yesterday.

It was in a private room, so that's the issue. I just checked and it seems to work fine in sports.
I understand not wanting people to be able to do it in groupchats but would it be ok to let room owners of Private Rooms or global voices that are auth in private rooms do it?

Hm. We're definitely much stricter about private rooms than we used to be. It may be valid to allow scripted buttons again.

We might also whitelist a list of commands that are allowed for buttons. I might prefer that approach.
