RSI

This is not a one size fits all solution and depending on your body and exact natural postures it could easily make it worse especially with overuse but for me wrist braces are very good pain prevention and relief, I use them when I know I'm going to be at a keyboard and mouse for a while or using a pen for an extender period of time.

Occasionally there are days where I've excessively one handed my phone, usually when I'm cooking for a long time and that may come with additional strain depending on the dish and that leaves a mild lingering ache and I tend to sleep with the wrist brace on and it seems to help recover quicker.

Takes some experimenting and may be detrimental to you, but they're generally pretty cheap and last a while. Just hey, if you start hurting more... Stop using it. And stretch regardless, there are wrist specific stretches but I am bad at conveying how to move your body and not a doctrician, so I'll let you google for those.
