One of the biggest counters to Garde in the tier that doesn't have to worry about being pursuit trapped. Protect allows for extra leftovers recovery and can scout whether Drapion wants to go for the 28% against you with pursuit or just EQ. Regi isn't really a common choice in a Zong/Lix meta but I think the popularity of special attackers that like Zong getting pursuited (Garde, Stoise, Shaymin) really cements a niche for this guy as he is basically just a Zong without the psychic typing. You can't really switch in on Drapion tho, so keep that in mind.
