RU: Rotom and Charmeleon Want To Build a Snowman (And Be Awesome)

(Disclaimer: This is not a Frozen theme team, as you can see by the nicknames. Rotom and Charmeleon are the only ones who have a nickname of a character in Frozen)

Elsa (Rotom-Frost) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Blizzard
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
- Volt Switch

My Choice Scarf tricker. I almost always lead with this thing. It can easily mess up a bulky Pokemon by giving them a useless choice scarf. If there's something on the field that I can't really trick (the choice scarf will benefit them rather than hurt them) than I use Volt Switch to get out of there. If a Ground type decides to come in and I predict correctly, they get a nice tasty Blizzard to the face. Let's just say, when this Pokemon is out, She DOESN'T WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN

Anna (Charmeleon) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Counter
- Flamethrower
- Protect
- Toxic

This Charmeleon set... My team was mostly offensive but then I was like. "Well, there has to be some bulk" So I came up with a really creative (and effective) Charmeleon set. Its a Specially Bulky Eviolite+Counter set and OH MY GOODNESS is she good! I have taken so many hits with this cHARMELEON AND SUPRISED UNEXPECTING PHYSICALLY BASED pOKEMON WITH cOUNTER. tOXIC IS THERE FOR STALLING pROTECT FOR SCOUTING AND fLAMETHROWER'S THERE JUST SO i HAVE AN ATACKING MOVE SO i'M NOT SHUT DOWN BY A POSSIBLE tAUNT

Algernon (Archeops) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Defeatist
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Dragon Claw

My Choice Banded Pokemon. Now, A Lot of you might be asking why I don't use the Choice Scarf item rather than Choice Banded. Well there are 2 Reasons

1. I already have two Choice Scarfers on the Team
2. Archeops is already very fast. I thought more physical power would be better

There have been some occasions where I think choice scarf woul dbe better, but for the most part, Archeops (Algernon) has worked greatly on the team

Excaslash (Sandslash) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide

My Stealth Rocker and My Spinner. Because I have a few Pokemon weak to hazards (namely Stealth Rocks) I NEED to have a Rapid Spinner. But I also wanted a Pokemon who could set up Stealth Rocks as well. That's why I chose Sandslash. He's bulky, can set up rocks, can Rapid Spin and can still hit pretty hard. The moveset is pretty self explanatory here So... On to the next Pokemon!

250px-057Primeape.png

AngryVideoGameNerd (Primeape) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
(anyone who watches AVGN will totally get why I named Primeape after him) I needed a good solid revenge killer. Because Elsa really only had the Choice Scarf to Trick. So that's why I brought in Primeape. With amazing Attack and access to the super helpful ability Vital Spirit as well as a spammable attack in the form of Close Combat. Primeape can tear apart weakened teams to finish the game and has helped me numerous times. Thanks Nerd!

Zira (Eelektross) (F) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain

Zira is here in order to fill up a remaining hole. I needed a Pokemon that could hit opposing threats hard and had great coverage. And my immediate answer was Eelektross. With such a diverse movepool, you sometimes never know what Eelektross will be running. It's so much fun to use (and I love the nickname I camee up with for it). I use Eelektross on almost all of my teams!

Feel free to rate! Be as stricts with your critiques as you please.

Hi there PokemonLionKing. I get that you are trying to be creative, but honestly that Charmeleon is deadweight. It is outclassed by almost every other fire type defensively and offensively, and cannot even act as a bulky pivot due to its weakness to all hazards, minimal bulk, and horrific typing. Overall the team is ok, and is easily 6-0'd by all relavant water types, and is unable to deal with most of the metagames current largest threats. Stall also 6-0's this team, as you have difficulty breaking through it with any of your 6 pokemon.

One of the first things I see is a Choice Banded Archeops. This is a bad set, as Archeops gets worn down to defeatist rather quickly, and thus is far too easily crippled as a wallbreaker. Instead consider the better and more efficient Offensive Roost Archeops, who can heal back beyong defeatist when worn down, and can utilize its absurdly difficult to wall coverage to its fullest extent. Also, Earth Power is superior to Earthquake on Archeops, as it has a massive 112 Special Attack, and it lets it get by physical walls such as Steelix much more easily.
(P.S. If you choose to use Life Orb, do not use Acrobatics)

In order to better deal with stall, I reccomend using Calm Mind Reuniclus over Charmeleon. Not only is Reuniclus bulkier (even with eviolite accounted for), but it has better typing, magic guard, and recovery, making it a better bulky pivot for your team, and a stallbreaker so that your other pokemon such as Primeape and Rotom-F can sweep. There is no reason to be using Charmeleon at all.

Looking over your team, I see no purpose in Eelektross. It seems to have redundancies with Rotom-F, and doesn't benefit your team. When looking for a bulky pivot with great coverage, what about Mixed Mega-Abomasnow. It pairs extremely well with Rotom-F, and it hits extremely hard from both ends. It also gives you a Water type switch in, which you previously did not have, which is quite important to a bulky offensive team like yours. On top of this, CM Reuniclus fits in with it perfectly, and its wall breaking power is appreciated on any team. Your team has the necessary support built into it for Mega Abomasnow as well, with both Rapid Spin and Volt-Turn to bring it in safely.

Hope I helped! I know I changed a bit, but I do think at the end of the day the team performs better! Cheers :]

I think arcanine dropped so you could use that as a bulky fire type. If not, there are better things you can use than charmeleon.

Also, Algernon is a mouse.

I am aware Algernon is a mouse. I read Flowers for Algernon... I just thought that it kinda rolled off the toungue and it seemed like a good nickname

Just finished watching frozen lol.

Yeah of you want the char set use magma.

Archeops really isn't a choice attacker. It basically needs roost to function so the item less set seems OK.

On eelektross, I would recommend leftovers. He really appreciates the recovery as it will usually attack last.
