SS: Feliburn vs GW - Definitely a HL matchup for me, but the only week that I won't bold GW is when he's up against the Drampas
SS: Windsong vs Eternal Spirit - Another close match-up, but I have a little more faith in Gama
SS: Meru vs Osh - Meru is in round 6 of RU SSNL, how can anyone beat such a powerhouse player?
SS: GoldCat vs Amaroq - Slight edge to Amaroq because he's more experienced on the big stage, but I could definetely see this swinging either way
SM: lax vs roman - I know roman's team hehe (ping me on discord if you want it @ lax) jkjkjk but once again, I can see this swinging to either side but roman's just a goat at RU subforums
SM: ima vs Xiri - Very slight edge to ima, but this will be close for sure
ORAS: Ajna vs atomicllamas - I wanted to bold llamas here because he's the goat and I feel bad for calling him bald in RU cord, but Ajna in theory should win? definitely going to be a tough game

SS: Feliburn vs GW - both are good imo but i trust feli more rn, i think he's a bit more motivated now as well....maybe...will be interesting at least
SS: Windsong vs Eternal Spirit - windsongs game last week was kinda shaky. i dont know how gama won last week lmao but he did so ill bold him here
SS: Meru vs Osh - im a p solid believer in meru's ss abilities, osh is a solid player though
SS: GoldCat vs Amaroq - i have a LOT of respect for goldcat for bringing the god rime. anyone who does that is amazing, it's a fire ass mon. that being said the nerves seemed to have gotten to him last week, which is fine cause it's his first big game. that being said amaroq is more tenured so i'm going for him
SM: lax vs roman - i fucking hate roman
SM: ima vs Xiri - xiri;s game last week made me sad mostly because it was with my team so i feel guilty in some stupid way. ima played an absolutely phenomenal game last week; i can tell that the hard work and dedication paid off and it showed in his win and the way it occurred
ORAS: Ajna vs atomicllamas - ajna's one of the best oras players obviously so it's hard to root against him here - that being said llamas showed he's still got his stuff going in his game last week so there could be an upset here.
BW: Accelgor vs KW - i dont wanna root for kw two weeks in a row and i also don't wanna root against accel two weeks in a row. kw will probably be the first and last person in rupl history to win with whiscash (unless someone won with it in the dpp "ru" in rupl 2014, that shit was a fever dream but i digress)

SS: TonyFlygon vs PinkDragonTamer - tony played a really nice game last week, hard not to root for him here
SS: buzingtaor vs snaga - i like snagass's form rn
SS: Luthier vs Expulso - again i'm not rooting against smoothier!!!
SS: Pepeduce vs Sabella - pepeduce played p solid last week if i remember right, but sabella is the better player in general so it's hard to pick one here
SM: Mannat vs ODR - odr's still one of the best sm players in the field even if he came off a loss last week, i still believe mannat is p alright at the tier though so it'll be close
SM: lighthouses vs Bebo - diogo seemed super tilted last week in a game he probably should've won - bebo timed out last week which is a real confidence killer but he seems more in form rn
ORAS: Santu vs banks - banks seems pretty good atm, bringing delphox is a scary manuever but it paid off
BW: byronthewellwell vs esche - god esche pulled off a strong win last week, excited to see how this turns out

SS: Star vs Gondra - star played pretty well in my game vs him last week, i think gondra brought like no ground resist or something fsr
SS: Lilburr vs mncmt - lilburr is a pretty good player and i expect her to have a good showing here
SS: Oathkeepre vs Lopunny Kicks - oath also got pressured by the nerves in his game last week, but he brought a pretty interesting team though the air slash vika tilted me. punny is fire as fuck though and i can't root against a fellow fg member
SS: mael vs robjr - mael tried his hand with stall last week, it didn't work out but i think he deserves some credit for trying to work with it given how it's generally unexplored as a playstyle, even if not having a volt immune hurt him a lot in the long term. that being said i'm a big believer in robjr's abilities
SM: termi vs Hurtadoo - don't like rooting against hurtadoo but again i'm gonna root for fg here. termi played a pretty solid game last week in a rough mu so i think if she doesn't fall for hurtadoo techs she'll win here
SM: TheFranklin vs Finchinator - finch got mad at me for not predicting him to win last week so i'm doing it here, please win now
ORAS: Gefährlicher Random vs SOMALIA - gerasfsfdhdsdfdnsdr played pretty ok last week and got unlucky as shit. that being said somalia's taken an interest in lower tiers in the past few weeks, and i like watching him play a lot. if there's some oras ru equivalent of gyarados he should bring it here
BW: Bobby Dagen vs EviGaro - rodri won last week with not one but TWO dark types in bw ru, what a sight to see. neither of them were spiritomb either! (underrated mon!!!) that being said my gut tells me evi is hungrier for this

ORAS: Ajna vs atomicllamas - Despite the fact that Ajna is more likely than not going to stay with his comfortable usual team choice, he does so for a pretty obvious reason, which is that his playing is good enough and the archetype strong enough that it doesnt really matter if his opponents predict his team choice correctly, i think llamas can win if he attacks what's in front of him
BW: Accelgor vs KW - i wish more than anything that i would bold my friend over the trash wielder, but Accelgor hasnt strayed far from what he has brought in the past, and that's gonna be an obstacle if he wants to get past the banded plusle or whatever kw is gonna bring, i mean u already know he's gonna bring something offensive enough to not lose to goth ever so use that info i guess

ORAS: Santu vs banks - this is gonna be super close, i feel like santu won off of alkione's bad team more than anything, and banks' game was kinda awkward so i feel it just comes down to team choice, and santu uses more of the same stuff than banks, using a ditto doesnt make your teams more varied.
BW: byronthewellwell vs esche - i have literally no reason not to bold byron, he's had a solid game, but esche brought goth and byron brought goth weak so lol

ORAS: Chaitanya vs TSR - both had pretty uninspiring games g1, and i simply didnt like the team chaitanya brought, maybe he knew his opponents team was gonna be particularly slow. Anyway, just dont bring garbodor in the flygon tier
BW: TKO vs The Leprechaun - who woulda thought that lep is gonna stick to his usual stuff and lose lol, im only bolding him because tko didnt play particularly well last week and brought shame to goth, and lep is most likely gonna bring something slightly more offensive than last time and slap a shed on a fat mon

ORAS: Gefährlicher Random vs SOMALIA - idt ive ever seen somalia play the tier but it's really not gonna be hard for him to pick up, i just have a feeling mr. random is gonna win this one
BW: Bobby Dagen vs EviGaro - rodri played well and tko not so much but god damn if that team he brought wasnt kw tier, here's a pro tip rodri: the number of viable darks in the tier is 0 and evi isnt gonna use goth so u can go ahead and not use any darks this week to maximize your chances of winning by not bringing bad mons that would never win unless the opponent chokes to death

SS: Feliburn vs GW (60-40) - gw's honestly really good at ru, i think he's something like 4-2/4-1 across rupl/ru snake, but feli's much more consistent and has both a stronger baseline and ceiling of play.

SS: Windsong vs Eternal Spirit (55-45) - i wasn't super impressed by windsong's w1 game but his history in RU should give him a leg up on gama, who played well but largely won w1 off of yay making some misplays.

SS: Meru vs Osh (60-40) - i didn't end up watching osh vs garay so i can't say much regarding osh's w1 but he's a skilled lower tier player in general, and i don't know how well meru knows the current meta. meru's a strong player who also has ajna/feli support, but i trust osh's baseline of play more so than i do meru's in SS RU.

SS: GoldCat vs Amaroq (60-40)- amaroq has more experience as a whole and goldcat's game vs mac3 wasn't super amazing to me.

SS: TonyFlygon vs PinkDragonTamer (60-40) - pdt's pretty skilled but tony just has much more experience. if tony's motivated in the builder and/or passed a good team he should take this. PDT can capitalize on a decent matchup with his aggressive playstyle, but i think tony retains a solid edge here.


SS: buzingtaor vs snaga (55-45) - snaga's been doing really well in recent weeks/months. he's something like 5-0 in nupl and he had a convincing win last week vs windsong. bugzi's obviously solid but i'm favoring snaga here based on current form.


SS: Luthier vs Expulso (50-50) - super close game. both of them should be pretty motivated but neither of them really wowed me last week with their playing in week one. i think luthier's the more experienced player at this point in time but expulso likely has a better grasp of the metagame as it stands. no discernable advantage to either side as a result.


SS: Pepeduce vs Sabella (55-45) - sab has more experience but pepeduce shouldn't be wholly discounted. he won relatively comfortably vs gondra last week, even though he did have a decent matchup and got a fortunate para in the lategame. regardless, i think sab's experience with likely an expulso team gives him an edge here.

SS: Star vs Gondra (55-45) - star's been tearing up all of these lower tier PLs over the past few weeks, whereas gondra did relatively poorly in nupl. they're obviously similar in terms of overall skill, but i'm favoring the player with more RU experience who's been on better form recently.

SS: Lilburr vs mncmt (60-40) - lily's a great up-and-comer who's proved her ability in spades over the past few months, but i favor mence's playing ability coupled with evi teams here.


SS: Oathkeepre vs Lopunny Kicks (70-30) - oathkeepre's w1 game didn't exactly inspire confidence, and punny's an even more fearsome opponent than yggdrasil, as punny likely won w1 vs tony if not for a rock blast miss. i don't know if oathkeepre got nervy or if he's just unprepared overall but punny's experience gives him a strong leg up here.

SS: mael vs robjr (65-35) - mael's w1 stall wasn't amazing and rob's generally been playing lower tiers longer and more consistently than mael has. strong edge here.

SS: Windsong vs Eternal Spirit - windsong looked kinda shaky in his last game but a single match is not enough to properly judge someone and im a big believer in his ability, no idea what would happen here but im guessing itll be entertaining lmao

ORAS: Chaitanya vs TSR - chait tried to stunt turn 4 of his last battle and instantly lost his magneton lmao, he did however play pretty well throughout the remainder of the game(while also getting a bit lucky) and was able to win in the end, im still not completely sold on him yet but i dont think tsr is very good most of the time, still think this will be an interesting game to see where these 2 stand

SS: Star vs Gondra - being completely honest i felt as though gondra was severely nerfed last week by the team he was using vs my teammate, felt like he mostly played a very very solid game but evi gave him some jank, man. if hes given a good team im a big believer that this game will be good

SS: mael vs robjr - mael was a victim of jakes ru blessings but i also wasnt feeling his stall pick too too much, in a similar way to gondra i feel like he can still perform much better with other team choices

don't think the matchups this week are very interesting overall so i didnt bother doing everything, plz dont take any of this personally
