Honorable mentions:

Bewear's (check) Fluffy can't help it here since Aura Wheel doesn't make contact with it. But should it come in safely without taking damage, it can OHKO with either STAB move. Rhydon (check) cannot take 2 Seed Bombs, but guarantee it a safe switch in, it OHKOs with EQ. Mudsdale (counter) can take any hit since Stamina will just up its Defense each time and the horse just retaliates with EQ.

Reserving snorlax before anyone else can

:bw/snorlax: :leftovers:
Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Body Slam
- Darkest Lariat
- Rest
- Curse

So technically speaking, this isn’t a true counter, but in a 1v1 scenario, Snorlax beats Duraludon even if it switches into Draco Meteor, since Draco Meteor fails to 2hko this set, unless it’s a Draco Meteor -> Draco Meteor crit.

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Snorlax: 204-240 (38.9 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

After that, it’s -2 and won’t do as much, so Snorlax’s free to Rest up and win the 1v1.

Realistically, in an actual battle, Snorlax is only a check. But in a 1v1 scenario, Snorlax is a counter. So I’ll leave it to Oathkeepre to decide where to put Snorlax in.

Nominating Steelix as a Counter to Specs Duraludon
1589312501757.png

Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Steelix resists both STABS, is immune to Thunderbolt, and can tank any 3 hits Duraludon can throw at it. Additionally, it can abuse the lack of damage Duraludon deals to it to get up rocks, or to toxic a predicted switch-in.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 240 SpD Steelix: 113-133 (31.9 - 37.5%) -- 0.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Steelix Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Duraludon: 168-200 (59.7 - 71.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

showstopper (Copperajah) @ Occa Berry
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 252 Atk / 196 SpD / 60 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Power Whip
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

simple stuff, resists both stabs and doesn't care about thunderbolt. easy way to fit itself into teams with the occa rocker set, so it most definitely isn't deadweight.

Nominating Ferroseed as a counter

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Knock Off
- Toxic

simple stuff really, you resist every move and just knock off specs. if it wants to stay in, you leech seed for recovery, or otherwise, toxic or leech seed the switch-in. cool. even without eviolite, you can beat duraludon pretty handly, but its slightly more troublesome to handle in that regard, so avoid getting knocked! although knock doesnt do much to dura, you hinder its breaking power and can beat it 1v1 via leech seed recovery.
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Ferroseed: 80-94 (27.3 - 32.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferroseed: 119-141 (40.7 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 Atk Ferroseed Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Duraludon: 36-43 (12.8 - 15.3%) -- possible 7HKO

virizion

:ss/Virizion:
Virizion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Leaf Blade
- Stone Edge

:virizion: is a check to choice specs-duraludon - it can come in on a specs-boosted flash cannon and a specs-boosted dragon pulse and also
on the not very effective thunderbolt and can revengekill it with its strong stab in close combat or use it as a setup-fodder. virizion is also able to
come in on 1 draco meteor at least and can either scare duraludon out, ohko it with its stab-option in close combat or use it as a fodder to setup
with swords dance. however virizion has to be wary and has to switch in carefully after it took prior damage, but in overall virizion is able to
threaten duraludon.

calcs:
252 Atk Life Orb Virizion Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Duraludon: 351-416 (124.9 - 148%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Virizion: 241-285 (74.6 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Virizion: 148-175 (45.8 - 54.1%) -- 95.7% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Virizion: 157-186 (48.6 - 57.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Virizion: 56-66 (17.3 - 20.4%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock

reserving Slurpuff as a check

1589090961339.jpeg
Slurpuff @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Play Rough
- Facade
- Drain Punch

Slurpuff does not want to switch into Duraludon (obviously) -- it gets destroyed by Flash Cannon and gets 2HKOd by Thunderbolt while becoming unable to sweep and not being able to do much back.

However, Slurpuff is a good check because it forces a choice-locked Duraludon to not click its Dragon-type move, because doing so will allow Slurpuff to set up a Belly Drum and then sweep unless Duraludon's team has one of the few Slurpuff counters (Vileplume, Weezing, Steelix - but nobody runs Steelix+Duraludon) and has somehow managed to prevent that counter from taking any chip damage.

This is a good way for offensive teams to check a powerful wallbreaker like Duraludon. It has few switch-ins, but something like Slurpuff ensures that Duraludon will be too scared of a Puff sweep to use its strongest attack -- and if it foolishly does use Draco, you can usually 6-0 the opposing team.

Nominating Passimian as a CHECK

Passimian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Earthquake

While Passimian cannot switchin to Duraludon, it can easily outspeed and revenge kill with Close Combat.

252 Atk Passimian Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Duraludon: 330-390 (117.4 - 138.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Nominating togedemaru as a counter.
:togedemaru:
Togedemaru @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 132 SpD / 52 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Spiky Shield
- Iron Head
- Toxic
Kinda straightforward it eats the attacks up and then wishes and widdles the Duraladon down with Iron Head. It can eat the attacks comfortably as shown by these damage outputs.
Schermafbeelding 2020-05-12 om 5.16.55 PM.png

-2 252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 132+ SpD Togedemaru: 75-89 (22.4 - 26.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery.
^After the use of 1 Draco Meteor.^
You could decide that it is only a check because it takes so much from Draco Meteor, but with Spiky Shield helping you recover more leftovers I believe it is good enough as a counter.

Silvally-Steel @ Steel Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 248 HP / 204 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Multi-Attack
- Flamethrower
- Defog
- U-turn
This set is a lot bulkier than the typical Silvally-Steel being able to avoid the 2HKO from Specs Indeedee's Mystical Fire. The set also completely shuts down Specs Duraludon, but lacks recovery so make sure pair it with Vaporeon.

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 248 HP / 204+ SpD Silvally-Steel: 117-138 (29.7 - 35.1%) -- 16.2% chance to 3HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 204+ SpD Silvally-Steel: 108-128 (27.4 - 32.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

0- SpA Silvally-Steel Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Duraludon: 96-114 (34.1 - 40.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Nominating Silvally-Steel as a counter.

Nominating Hitmonlee as a check

although outshined by bewear, pass and scrafty usually, hitmonlee can perform as a duraludon assassin, outspeeding the specs variant without even needing to be jolly natured.

252+ Atk Hitmonlee Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Duraludon: 360-426 (128.1 - 151.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO .

Can't afford to HJK because he can't afford to miss, since Draco Meteor and Steel Beam still KO.

stunfisk-galar.gif

Stunfisk-Galar @ Leftovers
Ability: Mimicry
EVs: 228 HP / 28 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge/Rock Slide

Nominating Stunfisk-G as a *Counter*

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 228 HP / 252+ SpD Stunfisk-Galar: 121-143 (29 - 34.3%) -- 99.7% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Stunfisk-G will be faced with tons of choice locked users (Inteleon, Passi, Dura, Indee, Etc) so I'll be theory crafting with Protect + Stomping Tantrum + Yawn to see if I can cause absolute turn mayhem with hazards.

For now this set will get the job done tanking credible threats while dissuading others out. The evs are so Indee wont cook you alive!

I saw this threat & just wished filter Mr Mime had more damn hp

Nominating Fidel Gastro as a counter

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
- Recover
Specially defensive gastrodon to counter fire spam in the meta and specs inteleon, and yeah does good again duraludon too.

252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 246-289 (57.7 - 67.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Duraludon Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gastrodon: 160-190 (37.5 - 44.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Whimsicott @ Choice Specs
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Giga Drain / Grass Knot
- Hurricane
- U-turn

Check. Hear me out here. I know what you're thinking. Why would u send in a fairy to deal with something that is part dragon and part metal that OHKOs it with STAB Flash Cannon? Well, I see it as fighting fire with fire. Namely, Timid Specs vs. Timid Specs. A simple STAB Moonblast just barely OHKOs, but OHKOs nonetheless:

252 SpA Choice Specs Whimsicott Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Duraludon: 282-333 (100.3 - 118.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

So yeah, not the best check to it, but it does work and Whims outspeeds upon a safe entry into the battlefield.
