Welcome to the 3rd iteration of the famous (or infamous) RU World Cup! This time aiming to go ahead and clean his presentation a ton more. 2nd World Cup ended up working but many questionable and convoluted decisions in the middle of the tournament caused to be very confusing, but right now it will follow a more coherent format focused on the pretty workable WCOP Format!

The format will go through an important change. Given the present DLC2 scenario, the format will aim to develop the tier so this year we are using: 5 SS RU, 1 SM RU, 1 ORAS RU, 1 BW. Each team should go ahead and have 8 starters, and 3 to 4 substitutes giving us a total of 12 players tops per team. To start on a cleaner slate, the teams will be re-started over (even tho combining Canada + Midwest will always be funny) and will be chosen depending of the volume of signups and teams available. Right now we are looking for 8 to 12 teams.

Why is this? 8 or 12 teams allows for keeping a 4-man pool making it less exhausting.
8 slots*8 teams means we can have 12 pools of 4 people for SS RU, and then remaining 16 will be divided into 2 pools for SM and ORAS respectively. If 12 teams*8 teams will make 24 pools of 4 people for SS RU, and then 4 pools for SM and 4 pools for ORAS. If we do then, since the magic number is 16 to not keep everyone facing each other more than once, it will require a 5-man pool instead since (8*10)/5 = 16. Same calculations apply. Convoluted math aside, 8 or 12 teams will make it easier to playoffs and deciding points and pool winners. If we can make it 12 teams tho, that would be fantastic but again it is signup dependant. We shall see!

Sign-ups should include:

Player Name:
Country / Region of Residence:
Other/Secondary Eligibility:
Foreseeable Inactivity?:
Interested in Captaincy:

I know it is more of a loose and less strict version of an actual WCOP so enforcing isnt something Im looking forward to, or dont really want to do, but let secondary eligibilities make sense... we are gonna try to make the most fair map!

Signups will last until November 22nd at 11:59 PM GMT -5. Round 1 should go up shortly after so the format for r1 shall be done in advance (emphasis in shall...)

From there, lets hope to have a fun one! Cheers!
