Hello RU community! We are presenting the very first, inaugural, super-epic RUBD this Fall season! In this thread, you are able to sign up as a manager to lead teams in this tournament. You might ask “How does RUBD work?” To which I will respond with the general format of the tour in the spoiler below.

  • Like RUPL, RUBD is an auction based tour where managers will bid on players using a select amount of credits to get them for your team
  • What separates this from other auction based tours is a “blind element.” Here, each time a player is nominated, managers cannot see the other bids placed by opposing managers for the player, rather they must “blindly” put up the value for the player they are willing to purchase without the pressure of upbids
  • After the allotted bidding period is up, the results will be shown, and whoever bids the highest value will be granted the player. In the event of a tie in credit values bid, whoever placed their bid first will get the player

One manager is allowed to retain themselves for a flat value of 15k credits; there will be 100k credits total with 8 starters + 2 required substitutes for a 10 player minimum requirement. The tiers in this tour are as follows:
  • SV RU
  • SV RU
  • SV RU
  • SS RU
  • SM RU
  • ORAS RU
  • BW RU
  • ADV RU
The manager selection process is, for the most part, subjective. However, users who have shown strong involvement in RU and have no active or recent punishments will be favored over users who meet neither of these conditions. Manager signups will be open from now until November 17th where the RU tournament planning team will select the managing pairs for this tour. Good luck!

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: I was a manager in the (brief) RU USA vs the World tour and have otherwise been a very active part of every RU team tour I've participated in and RU in general. Oyster is similarly active and has a 29-11 record in SV in his past 2 team tours as manager.

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: One of the figureheads of the french RU community, I was captain of France at RUWC 2023 and 2024, and I'm currently a manager at FCL (biggest french teamtour). These are only this year, I have much experience in managing since a few years now in the french community. And I was pretty active in the Smogon RU community recently.
What is your favorite fruit?: Clementine (best winter fruit)

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: siras managed and reached the semi-finals in the last RUPL, we all love him.
I was a manager at the most recent RUGL in addition managed so many others teamtours on this site, we want to make a fun and welcoming team.

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?:
First time looking to manage a RU team tour but I've been heavily involved with the community for the majority of this calender year making top cut/deep runs for rult, ru swiss, and ru summer ssnl, as well as having gone 3-1 in ruwc. I am also currenlty managing team northeast for puwc. Tsuki is my goat, having managed team europe to semifinals of this years ruwc as well as having managed the sassy stantlers to finals in the inaugural iteration of rugl. She has also had strong individual showings this year finishing top 6 for ru summer ssnl and top 14 for ru winter ssnl.
What is your favorite fruit?: chinese pear

e: Team Name: Snow Jiniri and the Seven Dwarfs. Froslass + snorunt/impidimp will be our mascot(s). Latter part is under heavy consideration for now.
