sooooo frickin happy we won yall, we deserved it as FRICK. cannot be prouder over how we handled this tour, every one of you put in an amazing amount of effort for a subforum tour - so so impressed. it sucked that the last week we had was tiebreakers, was unfair to so many of you that only three of us could play.
wanted to start by shouting out my fellow managers
xXcrossbowXx and
C0nfiden1 0yster for drafting an insane squad, couldn't believe how stacked it was when i checked postdraft. also you guys were so active and friendly and helpful, amazing amazing people - i hope you continue managing stuff, future players would be lucky. oyster your help with sv and ss was unbelievably valuable, couldn't have won this tour without you. it has been so fun to be able to see just how much you've improved as a player and grown as a person this past year. crossbow youre so good, really turned it up a notch the last few weeks, did you close with 5-0 or what? best ss in pool and it aint close. also give urself more credit darn, you carried mine and oyster's builds - not the other way round. ur sm building is just as good as i remember. closing this paragraph, i hope that you guys had as much fun as me these 2 months and i rly hope you'd both wanna defend our title next year.
continuing with our finals starters, in order of the lineup:
toinha you are so awesome, 8-1 is so incredibly difficult to achieve and your ability to keep your motivation up the whole tour was amazing to see. very sad to see you go, but ending it on top must be a wonderful feeling so i support you 100%. you were such a joy to have in teamchat and inspired such confidence with ur play and activity. congrats on this season - hope to see you around on discord.
FlamPoke this tour was the first time i had the privilege of seeing you play and build and i cannot stress enough how impressed i am. continually pumping out amazing teams for 2-3 slots in a constantly changing metagame over the span of 2 months is monstrous. the shift you put in for us was immensely immensely important, and notching up one of the best records in the whole tour on top of that is just insane. you cemented yourself as one of, if not the best current svru builders around and if the coming scl managers do any type of research you should be one of the names on their draftboards.
TomatoZause it was so fun to see you do well, entering the starting lineup halfway through a season is no small task but you pulled it off seamlessly. the ability you have to pilot teams that aren't your own will take you far in this game if you continue to play it, but you shouldn't be so hard on your building - it takes time and most importantly practise to improve at it. think you've almost guaranteed yourself a rupl slot with this performance, i know for sure that if i get on a team ill try to convince my managers to get you.
xXcrossbowXx already wrote about you in the fellow manager's section but just wanted to reiterate how awesome ur play was this tournament. was really fun to see the difference between you this tour and when you were sm'ing for the masculin basculins.
TyCarter the way you turned your season around when you got moved to sm week 4 made me so happy to see. you really deserved all the success you had in that slot - was so good to see your activity level remain high throughout even though you had a tough start, very easy to let that derail a season. this could be another bad manager moment but going 4-1 in a tier that isn't your main is something to be very very proud of, a 5-4 record does not do your performance justice.
Oathkeeper im very happy we drafted you even if your record isn't what you wouldve wanted and i hope im able to draft you next year too. how much you care about your games will always be something i really really appreciate. you also have a level of experience that is invaluable which makes you a good buy in whatever tier you sign up for. i dont doubt for a second that you will get very good records in the near future, and i hope its for a team i am also on.
neomon you're so underrated its a joke. whenever you sign up for bwru i always have you as my #1 target, the time you put in with building and testing is something i really admire. i also think you are such a good team presence and have such a high floor so that you can flex into any other slots as well. on that topic thank you for getting us the win that sealed the tour in ur first oras game. so happy to have teamed with you again and i hope we get to team for europe this ruwc.
Queen of Bean you are the best adv ru player on this site no question. i remember winning our first test game with the double rain sweeper but then going on to lose every single test game since. i love how fun your teams are and i especially love how effective all that funky prep is, that raichu bring week 3? 4? was so fricking awesome. i am very appreciative of you being my introduction to adv ru, made me rly enjoy watching it. also thank you for all the ss uu teams - they look just as cool.
SBPC DiannieRatson you two were SO SO SO important in our season. SBPC you being willing to put so much time and effort from the bench in oras and bw is something i cannot thank you enough for. being available to bounce ideas off of and building so actively is so unimaginably helpful. diannie you being there to help qob was so important, especially as none of us managers had any idea at all about adv in general (we're all fairygen babies). i wish there was some way of giving you two more games than you got, you are both starting caliber players and wouldve had great records, im certain of it.
this was my first time managing a winning team and as i said in teamchat, all of you guys owning so hard kinda bugs me cause we wont be able to keep it together next year. but a HUGE thank you for putting in these two months of time, you ALL gave me my favorite memory on this site. thank you so much.
