LIQUIDATING TILL THE DAY I DIE

Just wanted to do a (brief) shoutout post for some people who I felt like deserved it this season:

Managers:

xXcrossbowXx sol C0nfiden1 0yster

You three are the reason I got picked, of course, and I appreciate how you supported me all season. Just want to let you know that I really enjoyed playing for you all. Oyster was especially great given our history in RUPL and his support in SV, though he was also just kickass in every channel basically.

Teammates:

toinha TomatoZause TyCarter

Toinha had an outstanding season, of course, and was pretty helpful with tests and ideas in our SV channels. Zause wound up getting to play a bunch after Ty slotted into SM and they both ended up securing incredible late-season performances that got us here.

neomon Queen of Bean Oathkeeper DiannieRatson SBPC Ac1D_13

All of you were great teammates who were really helpful in some capacity for myself and the team, largely as players but also for tests, prep, and advice, along with bringing great vibes overall. I am happy we got to team together and hope to see you all continue being successful around the site. Queen of Bean dominated ADV like no other while still lending the occasional hand in SV, which was really cool.

Friends:

Tsuki fluff!! Seed Sower Sir Tetris Metallica126 THE_CHUNGLER lars Ryu @so many others

You guys were all super helpful with tests and ideas this season, accepting my spontaneous challenges and telling me when my kitchen was burning down (often). I really appreciate you all, along with so many others I could list, for being supportive and helping me out.

Overall, we had a great year collectively, kind of maintaining a top-2 team status from start to finish. Big shoutout to the Stantlers who I think were the best team in the pool after they made some admittedly genius moves late in the season, excellent work from Tsuki and Sneakyplanner for sure. Congrats as well to the other teams, especially the Canadiancies and Fennekins, both of whom made it to playoffs and were equally likely to bring home the win. This tour did a lot to garner attention from the community and I expect a lot of us to get looked at for RUWC and future RU tournaments based on this!

Also, shoutouts to Amity and LpZ, among others, for their contributions in ADV RU, which was a really cool development, and to Beraldo and feen for hosting as well.

I've already said so much in the stantler server but no words are enough to truly convey how much I love my team. I can go on endlessly and shout out each and every one of them but I want to keep it short. Thank you for such an amazing season, and for the most fun I had on smogon yet. Big shout outs to my one and only comanager Sneakyplanner for bringing it all together and being the inspiration for the whole thing, there are so many names in the roster I wouldn't have paid attention to if it wasn't for her. Thank you team for all the effort and time you've put into this tour, and for carrying us all the way to finals tiebreaker, far exceeding my expectations as a first time manager. The team environment was something truly special and I hope you enjoyed the tour as much as I did.

I would like to shout out my friends, far too many to list here, beraldo for hosting this, the tier leaders of this awesome tier, and the RU community as a whole for being just so amazing, I'm truly thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community, I've made so many friends and got to meet so many great people in less than a year of being here, at a loss of words to describe how special this community is.

Until next year, stantlers out.

I'm really glad our team was able to win this tour after all. At first, I didn't even remember I had signed up for this, and as soon as my team lost in RUPL, I was already playing another team tour with C0nfiden1 0yster and FlamPoke again. I had NOT performed well in RUPL and ended up scoring 1-1 in that tournament, just playing mostly on unnecessary weeks and this was really frustrating to me.

So, I was finally playing a tournament in a main slot and gosh, It's so good to perform well. If I remember correctly, all the teams I used through the week despite the sample I loaded against skymin on week 2 or 3 (I don't remember and def not searching it LOOL) was my own builds. I'm very glad I could won 80% of the games with my own builds cuz I really thought I SUCKED at teambuilding but THANKS GOD I was so WRONG about it.

So, long story short, had no Idea I would do that well in this tournament at all, but when we finished W7 I was already 6-0 and our team was already in poffs so I couldn't give up anymore. Suddenly, I was confident enough to play a tiebreak. Not only I was confident but my team was trusting me so much too. Words cannot describe how magical this feeling was for me, and I really don't know how to express this. I'm proud of my record but I still think I need to improve A LOT, and that's a good thing honestly. This tour made me remember how fun this game can be when you play it with nice people around you.

I was also planning to retire as soon as the tour ends too (this was the only tournament i was participating on smogon atm) and well, I think I sealed it up with a very good ending.

Thanks Team Liquidation for all the season, thanks Thiago Nunes for always cheering me up during the whole season. Special thanks again to Oyster and FlamPoke, and thanks for all the RU community who constantly bolded my name in the predictions, u guys really gave me so much confidence LOL. Wish you all guys the best!

Huge shoutout to Tsuki and Sneakyplanner for truly being the most welcoming and helpful managers a Stantler could have asked for. You two were really the engine that kept our stampede going. Making it to finals on your first go-around as a manager is no small feat, so you two should be very proud of yourselves. Thanks for making my first team tour experience a great one.

I also did not get to post this picture upon our victory, so here it is anyway.

Congrats to team Liquidation

I had a super fun time this tour, not just because I put up a good record, but also cause the team I was on was honestly super amazing, and vibes were incredible. I want to shoutout everyone who helped me in SV, and there were a lot of you, thank you all! but especially I want to make note of the great mind Flabeauf had for the metagame all tour, having lots of great ideas for me, playing tons of tests, and straight up built my semis team, which was on of my faves that I used (I built the rest of my teams except for week 3 I think, with lots of help).

Another thank you to my managers for trusting me every week, especially in tiebreak. In the end, the nerves got to me and I didn't play how I wanted, sorry. But I had a great time regardless.

sooooo frickin happy we won yall, we deserved it as FRICK. cannot be prouder over how we handled this tour, every one of you put in an amazing amount of effort for a subforum tour - so so impressed. it sucked that the last week we had was tiebreakers, was unfair to so many of you that only three of us could play.

wanted to start by shouting out my fellow managers xXcrossbowXx and C0nfiden1 0yster for drafting an insane squad, couldn't believe how stacked it was when i checked postdraft. also you guys were so active and friendly and helpful, amazing amazing people - i hope you continue managing stuff, future players would be lucky. oyster your help with sv and ss was unbelievably valuable, couldn't have won this tour without you. it has been so fun to be able to see just how much you've improved as a player and grown as a person this past year. crossbow youre so good, really turned it up a notch the last few weeks, did you close with 5-0 or what? best ss in pool and it aint close. also give urself more credit darn, you carried mine and oyster's builds - not the other way round. ur sm building is just as good as i remember. closing this paragraph, i hope that you guys had as much fun as me these 2 months and i rly hope you'd both wanna defend our title next year.

continuing with our finals starters, in order of the lineup:

toinha you are so awesome, 8-1 is so incredibly difficult to achieve and your ability to keep your motivation up the whole tour was amazing to see. very sad to see you go, but ending it on top must be a wonderful feeling so i support you 100%. you were such a joy to have in teamchat and inspired such confidence with ur play and activity. congrats on this season - hope to see you around on discord.

FlamPoke this tour was the first time i had the privilege of seeing you play and build and i cannot stress enough how impressed i am. continually pumping out amazing teams for 2-3 slots in a constantly changing metagame over the span of 2 months is monstrous. the shift you put in for us was immensely immensely important, and notching up one of the best records in the whole tour on top of that is just insane. you cemented yourself as one of, if not the best current svru builders around and if the coming scl managers do any type of research you should be one of the names on their draftboards.

TomatoZause it was so fun to see you do well, entering the starting lineup halfway through a season is no small task but you pulled it off seamlessly. the ability you have to pilot teams that aren't your own will take you far in this game if you continue to play it, but you shouldn't be so hard on your building - it takes time and most importantly practise to improve at it. think you've almost guaranteed yourself a rupl slot with this performance, i know for sure that if i get on a team ill try to convince my managers to get you.

xXcrossbowXx already wrote about you in the fellow manager's section but just wanted to reiterate how awesome ur play was this tournament. was really fun to see the difference between you this tour and when you were sm'ing for the masculin basculins.

TyCarter the way you turned your season around when you got moved to sm week 4 made me so happy to see. you really deserved all the success you had in that slot - was so good to see your activity level remain high throughout even though you had a tough start, very easy to let that derail a season. this could be another bad manager moment but going 4-1 in a tier that isn't your main is something to be very very proud of, a 5-4 record does not do your performance justice.

Oathkeeper im very happy we drafted you even if your record isn't what you wouldve wanted and i hope im able to draft you next year too. how much you care about your games will always be something i really really appreciate. you also have a level of experience that is invaluable which makes you a good buy in whatever tier you sign up for. i dont doubt for a second that you will get very good records in the near future, and i hope its for a team i am also on.

neomon you're so underrated its a joke. whenever you sign up for bwru i always have you as my #1 target, the time you put in with building and testing is something i really admire. i also think you are such a good team presence and have such a high floor so that you can flex into any other slots as well. on that topic thank you for getting us the win that sealed the tour in ur first oras game. so happy to have teamed with you again and i hope we get to team for europe this ruwc.

Queen of Bean you are the best adv ru player on this site no question. i remember winning our first test game with the double rain sweeper but then going on to lose every single test game since. i love how fun your teams are and i especially love how effective all that funky prep is, that raichu bring week 3? 4? was so fricking awesome. i am very appreciative of you being my introduction to adv ru, made me rly enjoy watching it. also thank you for all the ss uu teams - they look just as cool.

SBPC DiannieRatson you two were SO SO SO important in our season. SBPC you being willing to put so much time and effort from the bench in oras and bw is something i cannot thank you enough for. being available to bounce ideas off of and building so actively is so unimaginably helpful. diannie you being there to help qob was so important, especially as none of us managers had any idea at all about adv in general (we're all fairygen babies). i wish there was some way of giving you two more games than you got, you are both starting caliber players and wouldve had great records, im certain of it.

this was my first time managing a winning team and as i said in teamchat, all of you guys owning so hard kinda bugs me cause we wont be able to keep it together next year. but a HUGE thank you for putting in these two months of time, you ALL gave me my favorite memory on this site. thank you so much.

My ego cannot handle the fact that we really let Zause (the only guy on the internet who cannot call me a kid) win an RU tour before we did me, surely I should retire after reading these news.

(grats water bubbles, especially glad to see both mace and oath finally being rewarded after all these years)
