Tenacious Technicians
Frank and big time boy drafted one of the more balanced teams at a first glance. Frank, DugZa, Hacker, sol and SpoiledBerries are guaranteed to be ranked high on their pools, tho idk what tier DugZa will play but he should be ranked high in both ORAS and SM. They followed up with some names that have a history playing in this tour, with seraphz playing BW, rylon playing both SM and SS. Heatranator and Elec-ant are two active SV builders who will definitely help support the SV clickers like Ac1D, Vioz, Envy and Rio Vidal, and Frank will be at least a good quality check for those teams if he's not involved in building them. Overall a very strong team with good support between the active SV builders, and the decent catalog of saved teams to be passed by those who have played old gen ru tours, which over half this team has.
Master of Disguise
Ming and Oath have managed to become the immediate villains of the tour with the 1.5k credits remaining. They have a draft full of good players, but they fall short when it comes to powerhouses, as none of these names, besides Heysup, are more likely to get ranked at the top of their pools. It's also a question mark to me on support. Sure, feen, ming, oath, xiri all have teams they can reuse and pass to others from their previous years but we all know that can only take you so far for an entire tour. SV support is also a question mark as feen and ming probably havent touched the builder since scl. Joel is a newer builder who can offer his own ideas but that can be hard for 5 sv slots each week, and then naem who drops random stuff like some wack stalls only is also not reliable enough. Idk the team is okay at a first glance but nothing that inspires too much confidence.
Leaf Guard Dancers
What in the fricking army!!! Despite the high number of names drafted by this team, Metallica has managed to get quite a good list of names at a solid value. The Strap and Lza are very solid SS and SM players respectively. Sabella is a good tour player who has an easy time getting the hang of sv ru usually, and Soul King0 is a newer face who has been doing p decent lately. There are a lot of names that I dont really recognize so I can't really say I'm inspired that much besides the last 4 names mentioned and Metallica. The saving grace this lineup has is that metallica builds every single damn tier like a mass producing machine. I personally think his SV teams can be quite generic, and his old gen teams really only scratch the surface of each gen when it comes to structures, but they are all very serviceable teams that have the tools to win games. The 3 factors that I think are deciding for this team are a) the established names pull their weight, b) metallica's team are serviceable enough for what is gonna be a new tour sv ru meta without hippo, and c) the less proven names have the skill to navigate said teams to victory. I know those 3 points apply to every single team in every single tour, but it feels specially true within the context of this team in specific.
Bibliotheca Blazes
I'm a big fan of this draft. Amity is one of the most reliable ADV RU players around. Eifo has more experienced than 98% of the players in the tour. Ruffles probably spends more time playing 6th gen games than listening to music. Hoops has been on a very respectable upwards trend for the last year and a half (I think he's one of the top players of the sv pool respectfully). FP joined the bo3 pool trying to beat all the big names but got met with an easier pool than last year. KJay, in a very scooby doo fashion, was Nature's Conqueror all along. I think that already is a list of players who are most likely to have positive records. Then they drafted really solid pilots and builders like stories, mclovin, qwily, tene. All in all, this feels like one of the stronger lineups when it comes to reliable names to bring home dubs. LBN is gonna be passing some insane crack which is gonna make prepping for this team really annoying early on. Old gens presence is reliable like I mentioned, but also nothing stellar when it comes to building. Still, I see this team making playoffs easily. The only way this prediction comes wrong is A) Kingler and LBN yap the frick out of the team in the early weeks and everyone gets tired of it and mute the server, ir B) they both go ultra inactive and everyone stops caring.
MrSpeedBoosters
Another very strong lineup. Diogo, Mielke, oyster, Chung, GK are players who are all expected to do well in their pools. Then they drafted Daharan and Slikkles, who have had solid showings lately, with Daharan making circuit finals, and slikkles evolving as a builder so much in the last few months. The only question mark is experience in team tours, as daharan looked very nervous last year and idt slikkles played, and if he did, it wasn't enough to get an idea of his performance. I think they are both favored, as I've seen the improvements since last year, and they have worked together as builder and player a lot as well, so that's already a good psynergy they have going on here. Their old gens is also as strong as their cg, with on top of having oyster and gk as experienced players, they have diogo and evi who have been playing since the stone age as well, to offer insights to the less proven old gen clickers. This team is another one I think will make playoffs.
Pure Power Prizefighters
The NU spies drafted a really strong lineup when it comes to names. Nobody doubts that etern, rabbit, robjr, merustie, ampha, baddy can win games. The only worry that I have is team support, as I really see none. Ampha can build SV RU teams, but I dont think he has it in him to support 5 slots a week, especially with JJK S3 airing right now. The one thing I'll say is that SV in general is not a hard tier to cheese wins in, so realistically speaking this is not that big of a deal, but if I gotta add some more words to each team rank. Their SV pilots are respectable names as well. Tuth, OLK, DKM can all play. Rabbit will for sure pass old gen teams when possible. I also think robjr is one of the better bo3 players, and against his pool I'd rank him super high. Idk in general this is a very good team but it's just the lack of active support that makes me doubt them a bit. This is a very strong lineup with a big flop potential is how I'd put it.
Solid Rock Wreckers
I tuned in the draft and I saw Lyra had drafted about half their team and still had 49k credits remaining. I was legit bamboozled and thought they were for sure just gonna win the whole tour. HJK is RU's current hot topic after winning SCL and terrorizing ladder. Guille is historically a good player to either SV or BW in RUPL. It feels like Crossbow and OBB exclusively play their gens. And then you have a more skilled player in Drud tackling the bo3 slot, with good experience in SV and SS RU. My son txunt has had a very slient last few months, but this guy is a grinder and I believe in him to go positive this year. The benefit this team has is they can both load some insane HO stuff, and HO proof their teams thanks to the addition of Canard, and that is huge in SV RU. Then they have mainers like Tsuki and MJ to round out the lineup. I think my one thing is that for how much value they got so early on, they could have gotten some of the stronger names in the second half of the draft. They managed to get a balanced team with some solid slots, but they still have some of the less consistent names starting which just adds a small layer of doubt when it comes to expected performance. I like this team a lot.
Deranged Hustlers
Another year another solid hustlers lineup. Piyu and Ninjadog are most likely to be ranked first in their pools, giving a solid edge to the hustlers each week. Then some names that are expected to do well like Bouff, Seed, TNunes, Gondra follow suit, just giving this strong consistent feel to the lineup. Seed specially is gaining traction as a self sufficient player after the last few tours. They got some solid pilots like Quinn & Drip to play SV, and violet river to tackle ADV. One thing about this team is the lack of a proper bo3 slot. TNunes has the most experience bo3ing in RU tours and he can definitely do well, but it never felt consistent. I do like that this feels like one of the more self sufficient teams, with seed and ciel building SV RU. fvkumean building SM and SS. It's overall a fine team, but besides Ninjadog and Piyu it lacks some powerhouse names. I think the hustlers historically do just win games and get to playoffs, so there's no doubt that they can pull it off this year again with the names that they have drafted.
OVERALL RANKINGS:
1- MrSpeedBoosters
2- Tenacious Technicians
3- Bibliotheca Blazes
4- Deranged Hustlers
5- Solid Rock Wreckers
6- Pure Power Prizefighters
7- Leaf Guard Dancers
8- Masters of Disguise
NGL besides the dancers and the masters, all the teams are p much close to each other for me, it was really hard to rank since they all feels p balanced. The hustlers outrank the wreckers since I like their TB potential way way more but I also think the wreckers have a serviceable lineup to get them in playoffs. Prizefighters and wreckers to me feel about the same but I just sense more engagement from the wreckers, which can for sure translate into better performance. I stil ldont know who I truly rank first between the top 3, I Just really like their drafts in general but I think the daha slikkles psynergy working is gonna be game changing for the boosters, and as an outsider I am just rooting for them 2 to do well.
Either way just some 2 hour post I made, glhf everyone
