[SET COMMENTS]
Rusted Sword Great Tusk is an incredibly powerful wallbreaker and sweeper thanks to its strong STAB moves in Headlong Rush and Behemoth Blade, along with the one-time Attack boost granted by Intrepid Sword. It also offers great utility, with access to Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock, allowing it to fulfill multiple roles on hyper offensive teams that often lack room for dedicated hazard setters or removers. Great Tusk can also utilize Bulk Up over Stealth Rocks to become a far more devastating sweeper, and can also instead use a wide range of coverage moves such as Ice Spinner, Stone Edge, or Supercell Slam, albeit at the cost of its hazard setting utility. Rusted Sword Great Tusk fits especially well on hyper offense teams, where it can not only support its teammates by keeping hazards off the field while setting its own, but also apply heavy offensive pressure as a lead. Great Tusk struggles against common Water-types such as Urshifu-R, Hisuian Samurott, and Arceus-Water; thus, teammates like Dragonite, Regieleki, and Raging Bolt help cover these weaknesses while further applying pressure against the opposing team. In return, Great Tusk helps check common Extreme Speed users, particularly those with the Altarianite stone, that threaten the aforementioned Pokemon thanks to its Steel typing and STAB Behemoth Blade. Setup sweepers, such as Calm Mind Arceus formes, Spectrier, and the aforementioned Dragonite, greatly benefit from the hazard support that Great Tusk provides. Similarly, offensive pivots like Regieleki, Urshifu-R, Raging Bolt, and Iron Crown force constant switches from allies, helping to rack up damage from Stealth Rock. Rusted Sword Great Tusk can also be used on Rain teams, where it more easily withstands Fire-type attacks from threats like Eternatus, Ho-Oh, and Entei. This makes Pelipper a great partner, providing both weather support and the ability to handle Ground- and Fighting-types such as opposing Great Tusk and Urshifu-R. Other Water-type attackers, such as Urshifu-R and Basculegion, also pair well with Rusted Sword Great Tusk, as they can also handle Ground-type foes like Arceus-Ground and opposing Great Tusk while also benefiting greatly from the Rain if used on Rain teams.
