You guys seriously have to chill lol I was just asking for your opinions...I'm not mad or anything that Salamence doesn't have those moves, I was just curious why.....

Why don't you do something about it instead of openly complaining, then? Anyone can be an arm-chair nitpicker, but I would actually argue that the makers of "unproductive topics" are doing more to keep Stark going than those who are content to just bitch about the current state of affairs.
The standard Scarfchomp has 240 + 56 × 1.5 = 444 speed, whereas the standard DD Mence only has 270 × 1.5 = 405 speed after a DD. Nobody runs (or should run) 299+ speed on DD Mence.

I concur. Topics are getting a little out of hand. Heres the reason you are looking for men... Because the creator said so. You cant argue the semantics of pokemon. Just enjoy the game. Plus, why would you want a super powered dragon, with the best spec att sweeping move pool. That would probably make more arguments over the fact that it should be in an uber tier rather that OU. Its just nonsense.
Note: in my personal opinion, to answer your question, no i do not believe that Salamence should have anything more than what he has. And believe it or not, Salamence is one of my favorite pokemon. Like in my ranting above, I dont want to see mence put into an Uber tier, which is what would happen.
I have nothing worth making a productive topic about, so at this point I cant do much.
I'd rather have Stark dead than have it full of topics about why a certain pokemon cant learn X move, where the answer is obviously along the lines of "because thats the way it is." I dont mind the occasional topic, but too many of them makes it hard to find all the good stuff that's here.
The only reason I even said anything was because I was under the impression that good topics should promote intelligent discussion.
Can't do much...besides complaining from the sidelines about the lack of productive topics, that is. If you don't realize that quips like yours do more harm than good to a community, then I'm not sure we need your posts and the negativity they bring.
Even though you're exaggerating about how "bad" it really is, a dead forum is still not a preferable alternative. Our staff has tirelessly worked on the rules and guidelines to be followed and continues to modify them as our community grows and changes, but we realize that this is a community that needs a bit of coaxing from time to time so as not to dampen its collective spirit. This is why we're ok with replies that state *why* a topic or an idea needs to be fleshed out, but not with replies *that* plainly state the same thing. The latter are, ironically, always more unproductive than the topic or idea they are decrying.
And the only reason I called you out is because I am under the impression that posts like yours seriously do not accomplish a thing in the interests of actually making good topics. Don't make posts like this in the future.
And Staraptors can Close Combat, whereas the Poor Salamence can only Brick Break.
Although pokemon is not quite logical (as in assignment of moves to pokemon) I believe Gamefreak has tried its best to promote logic and balance at the same time. Regradless of what we complain about, it is still our favorite game. So I think the way it is is the best for pokemon for the most issues, given it's such a successful game.

I didn't say standard, though. Just a nitpick that it is always possible to overspecialize. Mence can reach standard Scarfchomp's speed and/or beat it, regardless of what DDMence's standard is. Then again, some Scarfchomps run with a few extra speed points, too, to outrun others...
Your point remains, though. I guess I just don't like going by the standards when I can accomplish an extra goal without a huge loss.
