Sandstorm OU Team

GIGANTIC
UNNECESSARY TITLE

(Down to the point)
espeon.jpg

Patience (Espeon) @ Light Clay
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Psychic
- Baton Pass

I love this guy. He's such a hero. Look at those screens. Look at those spikes that aren't on my side of the field. This team was based around him, and I hope it can stay that way. I do seem to have an issue keeping him alive though, so I considered replacing baton pass with recover.

heatran.jpg

Balance (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Roar

Heatran is just an all around good sunblocker (especially with screens, holy crap). His function is to haze out some setups, maybe sweep once in a while, and force a switch. Earthquake is mean though, very mean to poor Heatran.

latios.jpg

Willpower (Latios) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Thunderbolt

The fall guy. Dang, that thing on their team is scary. Well, I guess I had better fix that. I found this new medicine called death, better try it out. Salamence set up with one DD? Oh no, too bad I'm still faster (sorry Salamence). Too bad this latios is easily killed by wobbuffet.

metagross.jpg

Force (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt

A hilarious amount of tanky with screens combined with a repulsive attack and a glorious speed thanks to agility. I switch him into things like scizor and tyranitar to administer second doses of medicine. He also functions well as a sweeper under the right conditions.

jellicent.jpg

Wisdom (Jellicent) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 216 Def / 248 HP / 44 Spd
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Scald
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt

Dang. Will-o-Wisp is fun. There are some boring moves in the game, but will-o-wisp is not one of them. In fact, it may be the most fun move ever. In addition to espeon, this guy also takes craps on utility pokemon, and can usually burn any pokemon switching in, in hopes of getting some free damage. Will-o-wisp compliments reflect nicely, as sandstorm to tyranitar boosts his SpD to ridiculous heights with light screen.

tyranitar.jpg

Power (Tyranitar) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 HP / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock

Gengar/Latios/Celebi/Alakazam/Starmie/Blissey. He seems to lack a bit of potency with superpower, though. I also have no clear cut solution to Umbreon besides metagross going full hero mode.

=========================================================

I've noticed a few things with this team:
-I get slowly worn down pretty easilly, especially on espeon.
-Jellicent sometimes works wonders, but sometimes he is useless against certain teams
-Metagross can be a complete terror when ferrothorn and skarmory are gone.
-Sandstorm is necessary to fight back against other weather teams. (I had TTar running his alternate ability before).
-Weavile is very scary to everyone but metagross.

I've come a long way in terms of creating RMT's. This includes learning to center/bold/italicize the text, so that it looks different and more informative. It also means I can now include pictures in case people forget which pokemon I am talking about. I hope these vast improvements can help the community to be able to better provide constructive feedback. Thank you for watching ▲

Rules:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it. The standard description length required is three to four lines, if you need more insight look on the detail part, check out the RMT Archive.

4. Avoid being repetitive. Making a new RMT thread is fine, but you should not be reposting your old team every few weeks. In the same vein, you should try to limit the number of threads you post. Even if your teams are different, you should not be posting a thread every few days. There has to be a two weeks time period from the last post in your RMT thread to the one you're going to post. This is very crucial.

Sorry man but this is going to get locked :/ Not only do you lack the three sentence long minimum description for each pokemon, but you also break the rule that states that there must be a two week time period before each of your RMTs. Your previous one is still even almost at the top of the first page :O

Beef up your descriptions, wait a week or so, and then PM a moderator. Good luck!

I may be wrong but I'm p sure it's actually just the same team posted twice, except way differently. The other has no pictures and a bit more explanation I guess. And actually, he satisfies the minimum 3 sentences reauirement--just barely.

Yeah, electrolyte is right though, it's hard to get to the content of the team without great presentation. Really think about why each of the pokemon is on the team, how would you justify their spot if someone challenged you on their spot there? Talk about the particulars of the set, note what you like/dislike about each. Once you beef up the descriptions, it's a lot easier for potential raters to see how the team plays and give you help based on that.
