Sandstorm OU team.

Well this is my first attempt at a sandstorm team. Hopefully you guys can help me out :)

Hippowdon @ leftovers
Impish Nature
Ability: Sand Storm
252 Hp / 152 Def / 104 SpD
~Stealth Rock
~Slack Off
~Toxic
~Earthquake

Why?: Well Hippowdon's main purpose is his ability. Getting the sandstorm up is vital to this team. unless against a fast taunt lead, he can pretty much always get some rocks up, which come in handy. Toxic allows him to stall out and kill opponents while using slack off and recovering from lefties. Earthquake is the obvious STAB attack. His great physical defense and Hp allow him to survive a long time, as special leads other than Azelf arent common. The only problems I've had with this lead are Aero's and Azelf's, after a taunt, he can do absolutely nothing to them. D:

scizor.jpg

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant Nature
Ability: Technician
252 Atk / 252 Hp / 4 Def
~Swords Dance
~Bullet Punch
~Bug Bite
~Roost

Why?: Scizor is mostly a physical sweeper. with nearly 400 attack, he can do some great damage. especially considering his bullet punch and bug bite get a bonus from both STAB and Technician. Bullet Punch, being his main attack, also has priority, so his low speed hardly matters. Swords dance is used almost solely for predicted switches, and after a swords dance, BP sweeping is nearly effortless. With EV investment in HP, roost is a rather helpful move, but must be used sparingly. Nothing should OHKO scizor other than a fire type, and my next poke handles those attacks quite well. :)

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Modest Nature
Ability: Flash Fire
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
~Flamethrower
~Earthpower
~Dragon Pulse
~Ancient Power

Why?: Well heatran is the main special sweeper, and scizors partner. Absorbing the fire type that will probably attack scizor makes his flamethrower even more powerful. Choice scarf allows heatran to outspeed most OU pokemon, and with his great special attack, sweeping isnt to hard. His biggest problem is his x4 weakness to the common ground type. I chose flamethrower over fire blast because I prefer reliability. Earthpower is for opposing Scartrans. The other two attacks give him good type coverage.

tyranitar.png

Tyranitar @ Lum Berry
Jolly Nature
Ability: Sand Stream
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
~Dragon Dance
~Rock Slide
~Pursuit
~Aqua Tail

Why?: Tyranitar not only can set up sandstream again if it is needed, but he can be a very powerful, bulky sweeper. After 1 Dragon Dance he should outspeed most non-scarfed OU pokemon, and will have massive attack. From then, he can just sweep. Rock slide is chosen over stone edge due to reliability, Im tired of him dying because his damn attack misses. Pursuit is really nice on TTar, especially with STAB; With a little prediction it can be really great. Aqua Tail is chosen over the common EQ for better type coverage as a team, and it makes him less predictable. With natural good defenses and HP, plus sand storms boost to his SpD, he is also very durable and can take a few hits.

jirachi.jpg

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
Ability: Serene Grace
252 Hp / 220 Def / 36 Spe
~Wish
~Calm Mind
~Thunderbolt
~Psychic

Why?: You could say jirachi is the STAR of my team [not really, he is more support, but I just had to make the pun xP] He is pretty much your standard wish, calm mind Rachi. After one calm mind, his overall defenses will be great, so he can just take hits like a beast, and deal damage at the same time.

Gliscor.png

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Careful Nature
Ability: Sand Veil
252 Hp / 200 SpD / 56 Def
~Taunt
~Earthquake
~Rooooost
~Toxic

Why?: Well I guess gliscor is sorta like a wall here. His defenses are decent, and sand veil protects him from many attacks. Pretty much he just toxic stalls, walling attacks, or having them completly miss with his ability. At the same time he recovers with lefties. He also can dish out damage with EQ.

Thank you for reading my post ^.^

I have no time to rate, and I don't play with sandstorm, so I'm just going to make some observations. First, you have water and Ground problems. You have three weaknesses to each, and no resists to the former. Zapdos might help, but I have no idea what set would be run for a Sandstorm team. Beyond that, I can't really help you.
