Sandstorm Team - RMT, please help, just now getting back into the game.

Hi to everyone. My name's Matt, and I've been out of playing pokemon since March, just haven't had time to play, but now I'm here to get back into it. I'm really rusty in the aspects of gameplay and team building, along with the meta being quite different, so here's my team I'm presenting to you, to help me turn it into a better team for the current meta. Thanks.

@ Leftovers
Impish (Sand Stream)
236 HP/ 20 ATK/ 252 DEF
Earthquake
Ice Fang
Slack Off
Stealth Rock

Physical Wall. Stealth Rock because it just goes with him so well, and it's really good to start it out with. Slack off is obviously for a longer life and Earthquake/Ice Fang for coverage.

@Life Orb
Naughty (Inner Focus)
208 HP/ 252 ATK/ 48 SPE
Swords Dance
Hidden Power [Ice]
Close Combat
Extremespeed

Dance Cario. HP Ice for Physical Walls (Gliscor expecially) and dragons while Close Combat and Extremespeed cuz they're good =P

starmie.png

@ Choice Specs
Timid (Natural Cure)
172 HP/ 120 SPATK/ 216 SPE
Ice Beam
Recover
Surf
Thunderbolt

Special Sweeper. This set takes people by surprise alot because most expect a rapid spinner, then BAM they get hit by a super charged special hit (and it nails their ghost they send out too =P).

Gablias.png

@ Salac Berry
Jolly (Sand Veil)
44 HP/ 212 ATK/ 252 SPE
Earthquake
Outrage
Substitute
Swords Dance

My pride and joy. Physical Sweeper. SalacDance Chomp, simple concept - Sub 3 times, Salac pumps the speed, then sweep with Earthquake/Outrage. You preferrebly want a Swords Dance on the switch or when they don't break the sub though.

462.png

@ Leftovers
Modest (Magnet Pull)
172 HP/ 248 SPATK/ 84 SPE
Thunderbolt
HP Ice
Substitute
Magnet Rise

Bye Bye my little Steel friends! Ya so you all know what it does.

fort_blissey.jpg

@ Leftovers
Bold (Natural Cure)
20 HP/ 252 DEF/ 236 SPDEF
Seismic Toss
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Thunder Wave

Special Wall. Standard as HELL.

Ok well thanks for checking it out and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Matt

I can't say I'm an expert but I think you lack the ability to take on ScarfCross and I only say that because my brothers riped through my team till I came up with a counter for it. All in all great team and good luck

Ya I see your point, main thing I know that would instant kill that is Gliscor....he's the best Heracross counter in the game (atleast he was in March...) so maybe take off Regirock (who I'm just trying out right now)?

Anyone else?

I wouldn't exactly use this as a lead, but the set is pretty standard.

5866933.jpg

@ Life Orb
Modest (Inner Focus)
4 HP/ 252 SPATK/ 252 SPE
Agility
Aura Sphere
Dark Pulse
HP - Ice

Agility SP Cario? No....change it to Vacuum Wave if you feel you need to outspeed something.

Agility Special Cario. Agility on the switch, then sweep away with Aura Sphere/Dark Pulse/HP ICE for great coverage.

@ Choice Specs
Timid (Natural Cure)
4 HP/ 252 SPATK/ 252 SPE
Ice Beam
Psychic
Surf
Thunderbolt

Special Sweeper. This set takes people by surprise alot because most expect a rapid spinner, then BAM they get hit by a super charged special hit (and it nails their ghost they send out too =P).

Change it to a Rapid Spin Set, Since you don't already have one.

Gablias.png

@ Salac Berry
Jolly (Sand Veil)
44 HP/ 212 ATK/ 252 SPE
Earthquake
Outrage
Substitute
Swords Dance

My pride and joy. Physical Sweeper. SalacDance Chomp, simple concept - Sub 3 times, Salac pumps the speed, then sweep with Earthquake/Outrage. You preferrebly want a Swords Dance on the switch or when they don't break the sub though.

Just use Fire Fang and Life Orb, works WAY better.

Regirock.png

@ Leftovers
Careful (Clear Body)
252 HP/ 4 ATK/ 252 SPDEF
Curse
Hammer Arm
Rest
Stone Edge

Terrific Physical Wall. With the SPDEF boost from sandstorm, and the DEF/ATK boost from curse, it makes this pokemon one hell of a tank. Stone Edge/Hammer Arm for coverage.

Looks fine but I'm not much of an expert on Regirock.

fort_blissey.jpg

@ Leftovers
Bold (Natural Cure)
20 HP/ 252 DEF/ 236 SPDEF
Flamethrower
Ice Beam
Softboiled
Thunder Wave

Special Wall. Standard as HELL.

Flamethrower??? NO!! Use Seismic Toss or T-Bolt instead.

Ok well thanks for checking it out and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Matt

There, put in my 30 cents.

I'm in the process of making a new Lucario set, so I'll get that up hopefully pretty soon.

I changed Starmie to be more bulky, but not spinner.

Garchomp like that might work more smothly but the surprise factor of this one by itself has neted alot of kills.

Ya I'm not too sure about Regirock either...Thinking about Maganazone.

Flamethrower on Blissey because it nails it's big enemies harder (Lucario, Weavile, etc).

Changed some stuff...Dropped Regirock for Magnezone. Dropped Flamethrower on Blissey for Seismic Toss, Dropped 1 Lucario Set and added a new one.

Well, your team is lacking some detailed descriptions, so that could be the problem. Anyways, Running HP on something as frail as Lucario isn't exactly the brightest idea. You may as well run the standard SD Lucario set, and maybe Crunch over Hidden Power Ice as your vulnerable to Ghosts. I'm really not seeing the point to running HP EVs on Starmie since its Specsed. Some people prefer Modest over Timid as Starmie is already pretty fast and only reaches 299 Special Attack without it. You may want to add 4 Special Attack EVs on Magnezone since your only using 504 out 510 EVs and they shouldn't be wasted. Since I don't use Hidden Power Ice on Magnezone too much, I sometimes put an extra 4 EVs in Speed to outspeed and trap other Magnezone and kill them off Hidden Power Ground before they can set up Magnet Rise. Blissey is fine, though you may want to try Aromatherapy or Heal Bell on it to help deal with status.
