Armed with a Choice Scarf, Greninja uses its wide coverage and blazing fast speed to become a potent revenge killer. Gunk Shot crucially lets Greninja nail Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Iron Valiant, and Ogerpon-Wellspring while also hitting Clefable. Ice Beam lets Greninja revenge kill Garchomp, Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Great Tusk as well as hitting Zapdos and Tornadus-Therian super effectively. U-turn allows Greninja to grab momentum for its team and letting it pivot out of checks such as Corviknight, Toxapex, Mega Scizor, and Galarian Slowking. Rock Slide provides crucial coverage that allows Greninja to revenge kill +1 Volcarona, +1 Kyurem, and +1 Mega Charizard-X, while also OHKOing Mega Charizard-Y. Tera Poison gives Gunk Shot good odds to OHKO Tera Grass Heatran and Tera Fairy Garganacl after Stealth Rock, Tera Ice however boosts Ice Beam to greater levels, most notably OHKOing Great Tusk as well as guaranteeing a 2HKO on Mega Latias and Assault Vest Tornadus-T. 92 Special Attack EVs are used to OHKO Kartana with Ice Beam with the rest being put into Attack and Speed. Greninja also suffers from Steel-types such as Ferrothorn and Corviknight due to its inability to break through them, so Fire-types such as Heatran and Volcarona can help beat them for Greninja.
