- Landorus-T is a decent Choice Scarf user thanks to its typing, access to U-turn, and a great ability in Intimidate, making it a good offensive pivot.
- Unlike other common Choice Scarf users, Landorus-T has the benefit of being immune to entry hazards like Toxic Spikes and Sticky Web from Glimmora and Ribombee, respectively. This allows Landorus-T to be an excellent anti-offense tool against hyper offense teams.
- U-turn is useful to generate momentum and bring in teammates safely when foes are forced to switch out.
- Due to the pressure Landorus-T applies on the opposing team such as when forcing out Zacian-C and Miraidon, it can also easily set up Stealth Rock.
- Stone Edge hits Flying-types and Tera Flying foes like Rayquaza and Zacian-C, respectively, providing good coverage alongside Earthquake.
- Tera Ground boosts Earthquake's power, notably allowing a 2HKO on neutral Arceus formes.
- Landorus-T fits well on bulky offense teams that require speed control and appreciate its ability to generate momentum. Wallbreakers such as Miraidon and Kyogre appreciate being brought in safely with U-turn.
- Special attackers such as Giratina-O are problematic for Landorus-T; therefore, specially defensive Ting-Lu is a solid teammate to help deal with it. Ting-Lu also grants hazards support, which Landorus-T is able to utilize well to pressure neutral targets, while Landorus-T is faster than many unboosted threats, granting it the ability to pressure them offensively.
- Kyogre is also an issue for Landorus-T, so pivots like Eternatus and Toxapex are good partners.
- Since Landorus-T does not run bulk in this set, secondary walls such as Groudon and Toxapex can be used to check physical attackers.
- Koraidon is also an excellent partner for Landorus-T, forming a good pivoting core with it to eliminate each other's checks in Giratina-O and Skeledirge, respectively.
