in the analysis the mentioned ability is swarm, but isnt technician the better of the 2 since thief gets the effect of technician?

and since u roost u shouldnt make much use of swarm right?

Thief having 60 base power instead of 40 will rarely matter, I think.

Thief is more of a utility than an attack, much like Rapid Spin or Knock Off. U-Turn getting boosted by Swarm is far more useful.
