Scizor has swarmed into BDSP OU as one of the best glue options in the tier. Having both Defog and reliable recovery in Roost makes it one of the best consistent entry hazard removers. Additionally, this specially defensive EV spread makes Scizor a solid answer to Choice Specs Latios, as it can survive two Surfs after Stealth Rock damage and Leftovers recovery, with the remaining Defense EVs better curbing Mamoswine and Gliscor. Offensively, Scizor functions as a wonderful pivot, as it can often use U-turn on the likes of Latios, Starmie, and Alakazam, safely bringing in frailer attackers such as Alakazam, Weavile, and Infernape to make up for its lacking offensive pressure. Also, it can be paired with other pivots like Volt Switch Rotom or Magnezone to create a VoltTurn core. And, of course, priority in Technician-boosted Bullet Punch is a blessing in a metagame dominated by fast-paced, offensive cores. Scizor's glaring 4x Fire weakness does bait in common Fire-types like Infernape and Heatran, so be sure to pair it with ample switch-ins such as Gliscor, Starmie, and Garchomp, all of which can force them out and appreciate Scizor's ability to stand up to Latios.

There have been several Scizor spreads that have been floating around so it's probably best to explain why you may want to use it over others. You explain what it's for but I'm mostly talking about what makes it the most practical/consistent

Scizor has swarmed into BDSP OU as one of the best all around glue options in the tier. Its access to both Defog and reliable recovery in Roost make it one of the best options for consistent hazard removal. Additionally, this Specially Defensive set makes for a solid answer to Choice Specs Latios, as it can survive two Surfs after Stealth Rock damage and Leftovers recovery. Offensively, Scizor's powerful U-turn makes it a wonderful pivot what does it pivot against, clearing the way to bring in frailer attackers like Latios, Weavile, or Infernape which make up for its lack of immediate offensive pressure. Also, it can be paired with other pivots like Volt Switch Rotom or Magnezone to create the "VoltTurn" core. And of course, the blessing of Technician-boosted Bullet Punch as a priority option in a metagame dominated by fast-paced, offensive cores is invaluable. What does Bullet Punch let it revenge in particular? There are certain threats like Starmie Feraligatr and Infernape that breeze by it, and I think talking about its ability to rk chipped Garchomp/Latis and other threats like Alakazam/Weavile/Mamoswine is rly nifty Scizor's glaring 4x Fire weakness does bait in common Fire-types like Infernape and Heatran, so be sure to pair it with ample switchins such as Gliscor, Starmie, and Garchomp, all of which can force them out. What can Scizor do/provide for these three

Minor nitpick, but 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD Impish is slightly better than the current spread as it hits the same benchmark for Latios, plus you get 1 extra point in defense (hits a jump point).
